Aloft Cancun 5/5 Excellent I recently had the pleasure of staying at your hotel, and I wanted to commend you on an excellent experience. The facilities are modern, well-maintained, and incredibly comfortable, making the accommodation truly enjoyable. The location is another highlight—being within walking distance of Cancun's vibrant nightlife is a major advantage. It allowed me to explore the area easily while returning to a peaceful and cozy retreat. Thank you for your hospitality! I look forward to staying with you again in the future.

This was my first stay at an Aloft and it may be my last. The renovations, which I had not been made aware of before booking, have been challenging. The rooftop pool has been closed for repairs since I arrived, the lobby floor is being refinished with epoxy so you're greeted with the vapors when you exit the elevators if they are working. This morning, I woke up to fine the elevators NOT working which is a bit of a pain when you're on the 9th floor and to top it off, the staff does not know when the lifts will be working again. AVOID STAY AT THE ALOFT IN CANCUN, IT SUCKS.

I had a reservation booked 12/30-1/1 3 rooms 9 adults. I had 3 days until my start to make changed/cancel to my reservation. I called 12/27 and spoke with the reservation at the hotel to inform I needed to change my reservation to 12/30-1/1. The rep informed me after 40 minutes he can make the change but they were having system problems and to call back later that day or tomorrow if I wanted to confirm but he assured me the changes were noted and I was all set. I called back late that night and was informed again the changes were made. I questioned because it never reflected on my Marriott account but I was informed they have system issues but again it has been taken care of. I wake up 12/31 to a cancellation notice from the hotel for 12/30. I go up to to the hotel and was informed yes my reservation was canceled because I didn’t show. When I explained what happened even showing proof of the dates and time I spoke with the hotel, I was told by Mario that he can rebook my stay but I would have to pay for the day before which would be $400. This is unacceptable as I have used this girl for 4years and I was assured my reservation was taken care of. I declined to start at this was an error on they end, if I would have known this reservation could not have been corrected I would have cancelled all together as I was within my cancellation period. I then went in Expedia and the same rooms were going for $236 a night as well as on aloft website they were going for 300. I understand they would have rebooked me but there were no accommodation due to they error. I well no longer recommend anyone booking this hotel due to i could have been left with no where to stay. I was able to find somewhere the same price aloft was trying to rebook me for and I paid extra due to the mistreatment of my reservation. There was no accountability taken by aloft on this error.

Marriott ALoft is in a great location. It's actually across the street from the beach, but has a beautiful rooftop pool, with an amazing view. A lot of young 20s & 30s there at night which isn't my favorite thing, but people seem to be having a good time. A great, included, free breakfast from 6 to 10 AM. The "hang-out" lobby area is lovely & fun, with 24/7 music videos playing on a big screen, a bar, candy shop & tourist tickets & information. Often booked because it is attached to the Cancun convention center, which has frequent trade shows & exhibits. Supermarket next-door, along with lots of restaurants, bars, salons, gift, shops, and outdoor hookah smoke 💨 gatherings.

Avoid this hotel - it’s not worth the hassle. They try to charge you extra for EVERYTHING and the staff is very rude. It was also extremely noisy at night and hard to sleep on the rock-hard beds.
