A beautiful hotel. The rooms are clean and have everything you need for a stay! Even a small kitchen and dishes. The choice of food is very large for any taste. The staff is polite and friendly. A wonderful Loro Park is located 10 minutes from the hotel. Mass of shops

The hotel was very clean and the staff were friendly, however some staff had very little English so it was hard to communicate. when we arrived we were put in a little room with three single beds next to each other which is not what we paid for.. we paid for a family room as it was me my partner and our 14 year old. I went down to reception to sort this out and they were very accommodating and moved us to a much better room. The all inclusive had a good variety of food (a lot of fish) The location was ok, close to beaches and local shops. The only down side I would say is we were the only English family at this hotel. There was lots of Spanish and French which is fine however it’s nice to meet new people and have a drink and chat but was unable to do this. We also didn’t get our towels changed daily so I had to go to reception several times to get new ones. All the entertainment for the children was in Spanish also.

No proper restaurants in vicinity. You have to walk 1.5 km to reach city centre and find proper restaurants.
Overall is hotel has a very old vibe. It's for people aged over 60.

Family of 4 with toddler got very very sick after eating at the lunch buffet! We all had symptoms of food poisoning, vomiting all night long! At checkout, receptionist did not care about our horrific experience and did not try to even please is with a solution! Not 4 star service! Book elsewhere! Very disappointed! And I'm a local! Definitely do not recommend!

This hotel is amazing start to finish. Every staff member throughout the hotel from we arrived until we left, were so helpful and friendly. Room was modern and very clean, we had a room on level 1 as we attended for a convention, if we stayed again I would request a room on a higher level as I like using the balcony. We were full board and ate at the buffet restaurant for most meals. Loads of choice and different themes everyday, there was a kids food section with plenty of choice also. The pool area has a large pool and loads of sunloungers. The animation team had plenty of activities going throughout the day for all ages. The hotel is around a 15/20 minute walk to a busier area that has restaurants, shops and a small beach. We went swimming every morning at sunrise and met some locals who were so friendly and advised us where was safe to swim.
Alua tenerife is a brilliant hotel for couples and families.
