I've been staying at this hotel with my family for over 20 years, and it's one of my mother's favorite places due to the spacious rooms and convenient location. Attached to a shopping mall and close to Lalaport, it makes access to food and shopping very easy, which is a huge plus.
However, during my recent 3-night stay (and for the past 2 years of 3 night stays - which means 3 years in a row) I encountered a serious roach issue. Each night, I ended up killing around five roaches, and it left me concerned about possibly bringing some home. While I understand that being attached to a mall might make it more challenging to control, the roach problem is real and needs urgent attention. A simple bug spray won’t solve it, and it’s becoming a significant issue for guests.
Aside from this, the hotel still offers okay service, and the rooms remain as spacious as ever, but the infestation definitely impacted my experience this time. I truly hope the management takes this seriously and addresses it soon. The cleaners and staff members are very friendly though, I should add.
As a vegetarian, I find that the vegetarian breakfast buffet is such a rare delight to have as far as hotels go, but I think its high time that Berjaya takes extra measures in attending to their roach issue.
PS: Mind you, they might look like baby roaches but they're actually a species of adult roaches but in small size. I'd recommend bringing some form of repellent of your own.

I recently stayed at Berjaya Times Square Hotel, and it was a pleasant experience overall. The hotel's location is excellent, being right in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, with easy access to shopping, restaurants, and public transportation. The rooms are spacious and offer a fantastic view of the city skyline. However, the décor feels a bit dated and could use some modernization.
The hotel amenities, especially the pool and gym, are great for relaxation after a long day. The staff were friendly and helpful, although the check-in process was a bit slow. Breakfast had a good variety, but the quality was average. Overall, if you're looking for a convenient location with good facilities, this hotel is a decent choice, though it could benefit from some updates.

The room is very spacious and have a clean bath tub. I really enjoy the view which is the new TRX Tower. The hotel also provide us with free chips and soy milk drinks which I really enjoy. The hotel is in Berjaya Times Square mall which is really help for those who wants to do some shopping.

My family and I had a very pleasant stay at this place. The room was large and comfortable. The hospitality was top notch, I must say. They provided free bar inside the room, the kids enjoyed the snacks very much. The check-in and check-out process was so smooth and hassle-free. Their receptionists were so friendly that we felt welcomed. The breakfast spread was great with free-flow coffee. Love this so much! The scenery at the swimming pool was amazing. And the fact that it located next to Berjaya Times Square made the stay convenient. Every thing you need was almost available just next door.

Got a free upgrade to a larger room which was appreciated. The hotel staff at front desk are helpful and friendly. It can be quite busy due to the fact it's connected to the mall and the hotel is very large with many rooms.
My room was spacious but a bit outdated. Not terribly old that it was an issue but you can see it is aging. It also smelt of damp quite bad - would have been a 4* review if it didn't have this issue as it was very noticeable every time you went into the room. Not sure if the AC filters need replacing or if it's due to some water damage from the past. Fresh towels also smelt damp.
The bed is very comfy and spacious. Good mattress and bedding. They also replenish the minibar each day for free which was a nice bonus.
Breakfast was average. It's only vegetarian food though so for me there was not a lot of appealing choices and a lack of protein. Their roti chanai and vegetarian rendang are good though.
The gym is on the 15th floor and is decent. Has the basics for a weight session and some cardio.
