Review of Berjaya Times Square Hotel, Kuala Lumpur
If you're looking for a hotel in Kuala Lumpur that offers stunning city views, Berjaya Times Square Hotel is a fantastic choice. This picture, taken from the 33rd floor, captures the breathtaking skyline of KL at sunset, with a mesmerizing blend of high-rise buildings and distant hills.
Pros:
✅ Spectacular Views – The higher floors offer an incredible panoramic view of the city, especially during sunrise and sunset.
✅ Prime Location – The hotel is situated in the heart of Bukit Bintang, making it convenient for shopping, dining, and entertainment.
✅ Spacious Rooms – The hotel provides large and comfortable rooms, perfect for families or business travelers.
✅ Easy Connectivity – Direct access to the Berjaya Times Square shopping mall and monorail makes getting around the city effortless.
Cons:
⚠️ Crowded Area – Due to its central location, the surrounding area can be quite busy, especially during peak hours.
Overall, if you want a mix of comfort, convenience, and breathtaking views, Berjaya Times Square Hotel is a great option for your stay in Kuala Lumpur!

We stayed for a total of six days over two visits in just over a week. Both times we had a wonderful time. Once we were in Premier room and the other three days we were in Superior room. Premier room is much better as it is slightly larger and the beds are better. There are no plugs near the beds for your devices in the Premier room.
The rooms although good do need a bit of modernization. The bathroom has a switch that you need to turn on for hot water for a shower. Or else it takes a few minutes. The view from the rooms was really nice.
The staff - check in, concierge, luggage storage, floor staff and all others we had interactions with were amazing. The breakfast (see my review at the Lotus) was amazing - all vegetarian and so many vegan choices.
The proximity to Imbi monorail, Bukit Bintang MRT is walking distance, the malls, eateries is a huge plus.

Honestly would not book one of these apartments again after the catastrophe that is the room(s) my family got. The first host cancelled on my mom at 2am before we went to KL then we got another one almost instantly #thanksbooking.com. The new host weird gave us a room YESTERDAY at the lobby with all the international guests, it’s just catered to tourists . Today he told us we gotta shift rooms so we moved to a different tower that’s more secluded, one that looks like it’s catered to long term guests. The room he brought us to smelled like cigarettes , has holes EVERYWHERE and a unidentified liquid on the floor of the bathroom so we moved to another suite upon request (the current one) and it’s got writing on the sheets, stains on the walls and chairs. I inserted pictures as well for anyone who needs proof

I am giving this hotel one more star for the sake of the staff service!
…
👍🏽lovely front desk staff
👍🏽helpful and good concierge attendants
👍🏽connected to a mall
—————————————
👎tiny drop off and pick up zone ( it could be easily congested with three cars)
👎construction area 2 meters away from the hotel building (the road between them actual is 2 meters wide 🤕)
👎degraded room (like really)
👎nasty furniture.
👎the bed is as good as the floor with a bed sheet on it.
👎mold is found at different corners of the bath, toilet and basin.
👎washing your hand is like trying to wash them using fire hose; except it was not cleaned properly ( use your imagination; this the best of my English)
👎the flooring could have been there for ever without change ( just put a mat outside your house for couple of years, wash it from time to time; that is how it looked. Also, you can easily setup your lab there and start your research on what new micro species you can discover!)
👎I assume the original color of the telephone on the room was white; but now it is caramel-like color( full of life).
👎the corridor of the 29th floor smelled like an animals barn - for some reason( please forgive my nose, it has been acting up lately)
👎basically no value for your money.

This hotel was a top notch back in 2016, don’t even consider it unless it is very cheap and you are okay with the above observations.
Stay safe!

Definitely will not repeat this hotel again.
Based on other reviews, they mentioned their room is spacious, but mine is opposite. Not recommended for the plus size. You can hardly walk around the room, as can be seen in the picture.
Having a great view facing the KLCC and KL Tower, however, the curtains are very dirty.
No complimentary drinks are provided except for 2 small drinking waters, and no soap is provided.
The old-fashioned theme, including the TV. It's like you watching the new drama but with the quality of a 90's image.
