This is a very nice hotel. Amongst various "four" stars hotels, this one is very solid four, I'd say. Very decent view from block A rooms, where we stayed. Nice food, nice staff, sufficiently good swimming pools, although they could convert one more into heated one.
The location is not bad. Only 5 - 7 min walk to the seafront. The main entrance is pointing towards several small walks with shops and restaurants.
My only complaint would be towards the coffee across the hotel - come on, people, it is not that difficult to get some inexpensive but decent beans.
Overall, I was very happy.

Hotel lovely albeit could do with some renovation in places. Food and drink very good with lots of options available.
Location of hotel not great. Walking outside the hotel scary! One night an aggressive man approached us and started to follow us until we reached the hotel at which point he turned back. The following night two young men attempted to rob my husbands wallet. I reported the attempted theft to the hotel who said " you aren't the first and won't be the last" never even asked if he was ok!
After these incidents we decided to stay in the hotel instead of going out.
If you do choose this hotel, be careful when going out.

Not a 4 star hotel.
UPDATE: TODAY WE RECEIVED AN OFFER OF MONEY BACK ON OUR HOLIDAY AT THE JACARANDA AS THE EVIDENCE I SENT REGARDING HYGIENE, SAFETY AND STANDARDS WAS VERIFIED AND AGREED AS UNACCEPTABLE.
Cons: Very run down and tired. The staff vary from outright rude to can't be bothered. Many seem to have given in to their surroundings, which is a shame. A minority were pretty nice. The hygiene standards are really worrying. Roadside rooms stink of drains. Some of the hotel is filthy.
Pros: There is plenty of choice at the buffet and it's refreshed regularly. The kids had fun at the pool! The location is bang on, it's only a short walk to the beach and restaurants/shops. Plenty of pool space.
Stunned that Jet 2 rate this as 4 star given that they have an office here.
I think the hotel was built in the 80s? It has been left to rot, unfortunately. The standard hotel responses to these reviews with no action confirm that, we foolishly decided to give it a chance.

Just got back from a week at jacaranda, I was sceptical to stay at a best hotel as I had a bad experience in Salou last year however I wasn’t disappointed at all. The hotel itself is well maintained and clean. The food is really really good! Varied daily and never runs short of any option whatever your taste. The staff are fantastic from reception to the cleaners and catering staff every single one of them are polite and always wear a smile. They cannot do enough to help you and make you feel welcome and this I really appreciated compared to other hotels the atmosphere is lovely because of them. The location is near enough to the beach to be convenient but just far enough away from the hustle and bustle to be enjoyably quiet. There are plenty options at this hotel for the kids to keep them entertained, the rooms are spacious, functional and kept immaculate by the cleaning team . I highly rate this hotel and I will be back!! Fantastic place!!
