Very nice stay at the hotel , the food was quite nice , we had breakfast each morning and dinner in the hotel one of the nights , it's a buffet style breakfast with more than enough options. Staff in the hotel were all friendly towards us. The pool areas are kept clean , the jacuzzi can fit quite a few people and the food served at the bar by the main pool is quite good. The staff notified us about our bus transfer back to the airport without us needing to ask , and called us taxis to get into the main town. We enjoyed our stay and would likely stay here again if staying in Puerto De La Cruz.
Our only real issues were with the lifts in the hotel , the 4 lifts from the reception all run very slowly and seem to skip over floors so we were generally waiting quite a while, and the outdoor lift seemed to not run properly so after using it once we chose to avoid it , the lifts in the hotel need a modern replacement. We would also warn other travellers that the hotel is a bit away from the strip and main town so you will probably be taking taxis back and forth however they are relatively cheap here.

After a 7 days holiday at this hotel, I would like share my experience and show you the hidden part of this hotel, the one that you don't see on the official website or on the booking:
1. The worst thing is that they lie being a 5 star hotel. This is not a 5 stars hotel, not even close. This is a 3 star hotel
2. Food is bad. Not very bad, I don't want to exagerate, but it was hard for me to get something eatable (me, being a person that eats everything).
The food is bad quality, all the meat is very processed, tastes like plastic and there is not much variety
3. Rooms hallways and doors look very old and have an old smell.
4. Pools are small in length and height and water not so clean
Some good things about this hotel, as I want my review to be as objective as reality:
Reception indeed looks very good. Sea view is nice, especially from the restaurant side. You can even eat on the balcony, right above the sea and the sunrise (for the breakfast). Personal is very kind, especially the ladies from reception
Keep this in mind if you are looking to plan your trip at this hotel.
All the best

Just spent 7 days here all inclusive.
Hotel was amazing, we was on the 12th floor so we had lovely views from the balcony.the room was really nice and comfy bed.
Lots of food to choose from if you like meat and fish. Unfortunately for me I don't eat meat, dairy or eggs so chips and salad every meal got a bit boring.
I would only suggest to the hotel to offer a vegetarian option with cheese to be added separately so that those of us that don't eat dairy can enjoy the meals too.
We decided to eat out 2 nights of our stay to break up the same meals every night, we went to two local Indian restaurants, both was lovely.
Bar offered a good selection of meals at lunch time for meat eaters, luckily I like chips so that's what I had every lunch.
Staff were very friendly and welcoming.rooms cleaned every day with fresh towels and toilet rolls.
I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Thanks for having us xx

I am genuinely blown away by this whole experience all the staff are kind and attentive to your needs. the food is lovely offering a range of variety even serving hotdogs and burgers for those who don’t like new foods. And the view from the rooms is nothing like I have ever seen before i also believe that every room has a sea view which means you’re not hoping to get a good view , would definitely recommend this hotel !!

First off, all the idiots in the Google reviews saying "This hotel shouldn't have 5 stars, it's a 3 star hotel" don't understand the basic concepts of the hotel star rating system. It doesn't matter that the decor is a little dated, this hotel meets all of the requirements for being designated as 5 stars, e.g 24hr concierge, heated swimming pool etc.
Secondly, the food is pretty average. It's standard buffet style, but there are different options every night that keep it interesting. The fresh options that are cooked in front of you by the chefs seemed the best, like the omelette at breakfast or the stir fry at dinner. Occasionally had to dig through the stack to find an acceptably clean plate, but the food was tasty enough.
The rooms were very clean. Some of the interior is dated and in need of renovation, but we didn't have any problems with cleanliness or bugs like I had seen in other google reviews.
The pool and scheduled activities were great, staff were friendly, loved the snacks at the poolside bar.
We paid less than £50 per person, per night, for all inclusive and enjoyed our stay immensely. You can't even get a room at a premier inn for that amount of money these days, and then you have to pay extra for an atrocious breakfast.
This hotel is unbeatable value for money, I couldn't find anything else in this area even approaching this price. If you want to stay somewhere with better food/decor be prepared to pay double the amount, and I doubt it would be twice as good as Best Semiramis.
