I recently stayed at BlueBay Grand Esmeralda and had such a memorable experience! The resort itself is beautiful, with lush greenery and a laid-back, tropical vibe, but what really made the trip unforgettable were the amazing people and the energy they brought — especially at the pool! The pool area is the heart of the resort. It's spacious, clean, and always buzzing with music, activities, and good vibes. There's plenty of room whether you want to relax on a lounger with a drink or join in the fun — and trust me, you'll want to join in. A HUGE shoutout to Pamela and one of the entertainment staff (I wish I remembered his name — tall, energetic, always smiling!). They were incredible at getting everyone involved and making sure people were having a great time. Their energy was contagious! They encouraged dancing around the pool every afternoon, leading fun choreography and making everyone feel comfortable and confident — even if you had two left feet. You could tell they genuinely loved what they were doing. Thanks to them, the pool area felt more like a party with friends than just a resort amenity. Whether it was reggaeton or classic party hits, Pamela and her partner turned the pool deck into the place to be. If you're looking for a place with a beautiful setting, great service, and unforgettable poolside entertainment, BlueBay Grand Esmeralda is the one. Can't wait to go back!

Don't worry about the bad reviews! I recently visited with my mom a few weeks ago and this place was great! Just a regular fun resort. The food was exceptional and we didn't get sick once! The water was safe for me to drink. The best part of this resort is the entertainment team by the pool: they had people play games to win prizes by the pool, and had activities like beach volleyball, water aerobics, etc. The rooms were decent. We were on the 3rd floor and we had zero bugs/animals in our room, and it was nice and cold. The water pressure from the shower could be better! Also the resort offers almost any excursion like cenotes, beach clubs, food/rum tours, swimming with turtles etc (at the excursion booking booth in the lobby). The staff are the sweetest most hardworking people!

I had such a great time staying at this resort. The atmosphere is relaxing, the territory is beautiful and well-maintained, and the beach is just a short walk away. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. I really enjoyed the variety of food and drinks — everything was fresh and delicious. The staff were polite and attentive, always ready to help with a smile. It was the perfect place to relax and recharge. I have to say that before we arrived I had read the reviews and I was very afraid that we were not going to enjoy it. BUT... we had an amazing time. Yes, the rooms need some tender love and care, only one day we didn't have hot water to shower. The last 2 days of our trip the electricity in the room was very on and off, I couldn't get my phone all the way to 100%, after 2 hours of charging it was at 25%. The Beach was great, the pools were great, the food was a good, consistent 8/10. The French restaurant was a 10/10. We saw a LOT of animals, my kids were super excited about it. Night time shows were sooo Fun! We had an amazing time overall. Big thanks to Alfredo the driver and Felipe the bartender at the beach bar. They were awesome!

My wife, two daughters, aged 3 and 1 and I travelled to Bluebay Grand Esmeralda from April 12-19 and had a wonderful experience! The pool and beach were amazing and there were plenty of tasty food options. We loved the coffee at the coffee shop and the soft ice cream. We have no complaints about this resort, the staff were friendly, the rooms and grounds of the resort clean. We felt it offered great value and a great family experience. We enjoyed strolling the grounds and seeing the wildlife and would love to return.
