So the resort was great, but they lost a few stars from two items. We had an overhead fan just clicking incessantly so night long. MULTIPLE complaints to the front desk did not assuage this issue. Despite us literally video recording it (and showing that to the FDA), nothing was done. The FDA covering us out couldn't even find the notes!!
Also, the breakfast food in the quick service area was... Terrible.
That said, the room was otherwise great, and transport options were plentiful, depending on where you wanted to go (any of the parks - free buses or river boats, or the airport - chartered buses for a reasonable cost). It was a little weird to find the front lobby for checking in, but that's pretty minimal, especially if you're just being dropped off (we did not rent a car or drive ourselves).

The resort is nice and quiet. Wonderful for no park days and relaxing. The bathrooms on property were a bit dirty and the cast members, unfortunately, aren't as friendly anymore. Both French quarter and riverside have nice playgrounds. My daughter loved their pool with the water slides. the interactions with the employees in the cafeteria area was unpleasant. Very disappointed that the mini fridges have been replaced with beverage coolers. Another way for disney to exploit you to buy food from them. Can't freeze my ice packs for my cooler to have in the park.

Room was not ready until the last possible minute. After being told by the front reception that the room was ready we arrived to our room to find a cleaning cart outside and the room only half cleaned with no personnel in sight. We ended up taking the mop and broom and other products from the cart and finished cleaning the room ourselves. The state of the room was quite gross. We left the supplies outside the door and never heard from anyone further. Besides this incident the experience was enjoyable. Nice grounds.

I recently stayed in October 2024 for MNSSHP and it was an amazing stay. I stayed here 13 years ago and remembered loving it, so it was really nice to rediscover my love for this resort. The food court is themed differently, and we stayed in a newly refurbished room in Building 1, right on the river. It was beautiful! Take a boat to Disney Springs or hop a quick bus ride to the parks - all of the transportation options are convenient.

I have been going to Disney World for 35 years, and my first stay at French Quarter was in September. This resort quickly became my favorite hotel in all of Disney. Very quiet, and not having to walk a half of a mile to get to everything was very nice. 10 out of 10 recommend staying here.
