My stay at Essque Zalu was an unforgettable experience. The resort is truly breathtaking, nestled between the lush forest and the Indian Ocean. The infinity pool is a highlight, offering stunning views of the water, especially during sunset. The architecture of the hotel, with its traditional thatched roofs and luxurious design, creates a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed, combining modern comfort with authentic Zanzibar style. I particularly enjoyed the ocean-view suite, which offered unparalleled views of the coast and was the perfect spot to unwind. Service was exceptional, with attentive and friendly staff who went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. The restaurants at the resort offered a variety of delicious options, from fresh seafood to traditional Swahili dishes, all beautifully presented. The breakfast buffet was abundant, and I also appreciated the personalized service at the fine dining restaurant. The spa is another highlight— a sanctuary of calm with an extensive menu of treatments. It's the perfect way to relax after a day exploring the island or lounging by the pool. Overall, Essque Zalu is the perfect blend of luxury, relaxation, and authentic Zanzibar charm. Highly recommended for anyone seeking an upscale escape in paradise.

We spent 14 nights at Essque Zalu Zanzibar Hotel in August 2024, and we must admit it was one of our most beautiful holidays. The hotel is stunning, with its impressive main structure and nice, comfortable, and very clean villas hidden in an amazing garden. The food served in the two restaurants is truly excellent! The giant pool is ideally located near turquoise waters and a beach that you can use to walk to Nungwi village when the tide is low. Due to the hotel's layout and capacity, it never feels crowded. The staff is very kind, thoughtful, discreet, and professional, always happy to help with a smile. Each and every one of them made us feel at home while being well taken care of. Lastly, in case it helps some of you, as a couple of two men, we had some concerns before going to Zanzibar based on what we had read online. At no time during our stay did we feel uncomfortable or unwelcome. We always felt welcome, both during our Stone Town tour, safari trip, and, of course, during our stay at the hotel. We highly recommend Essque Zalu Hotel for a nice and relaxing stay in Zanzibar.

Cannot speak highly enough of our stay at Essque Zalu resort. Location is fantastic for a relaxing break, to take walks on the beach, great rooms with stunning views of the ocean and to enjoy the culinary delights of Zanzibar food. The staff is super attentive and special thanks to Suleiman for taking such good care of our family. Also a special mention to the GM, Mr Aditya, who ensured all our needs were taken care of. Will hopefully be back again sometime soon

His attentiveness and dedication to ensuring that our stay was perfect made a significant difference. He went above and beyond to accommodate our needs, making us feel truly special and valued. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly when the staff surprised me with a complimentary birthday cake and a heartfelt rendition of "Happy Birthday." Their enthusiasm and genuine joy in celebrating with us created a magical moment that I will cherish forever. The staff took exceptional care of my 5-year-old, ensuring that she was entertained and comfortable throughout our stay. Their attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile with room service and food was remarkable. Every meal was a delight, showcasing the culinary excellence and variety that Essque Zalu Zanzibar is known for. The luxurious experience offered by the resort is worthy of a queen. From the beautifully appointed rooms to the breathtaking views and top-notch amenities, every aspect of our stay was meticulously crafted for comfort and indulgence.
