I’m only writing this review to highlight Abdul from the restaurant. My husband and I visited this resort for the first time and he was the one to take care of us the first day. His energy was so amazing. It’s very refreshing to meet someone so genuine and kind. We loved him so much we wanted to see him again the next day. Abdul is a huge asset and such a positive vibe to this hotel. Wonderful wonderful human!!! 🤍🤍🤍

“We had a fantastic stay at this hotel in Zanzibar! The property was clean, comfortable, and offered a relaxing atmosphere perfect for a getaway. A special mention goes to Mrisho, whose exceptional service truly stood out. He was attentive, professional, and always went the extra mile to ensure we had everything we needed. His warm and welcoming attitude made our experience even more memorable. We highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return on our next visit to Zanzibar!”

We stayed here in Dec 2023. We loved it. The food was amazing especially as vegetarians. We told the staff a day before what we would like they made everything to order. The drinks are great. We did half board but wish we had the option for all inclusive when booking. The only issue is the finer details in the room e.g the plug sockets are loose. Or finishing in the room isn't great.

The hotel is located on a very nice white sand beach with great views. The staff during our stay was very attentive and friendly. There were different functions during the day like water polo and volleyball, then at night different functions such as live music and open air movies. We really enjoyed our stay, the only downside was with the food. We had just the breakfast included, so when it came to supper, the choices got limited. The supper buffet was okay, but for the price, I have had way better for a lot less. They have a small ala cart menu, but again, it's pricey. I would suggest booking the full board option.

The true reason why LUX Marijani is one of the very best resorts at Zanzibar with nearly only 5-stars reviews, is the beautiful people that works there! They went over and above any expectations I had in making our holiday unforgettable. As a top contributor on TripAdvisor, I have written more than hundred reviews on great hotels around the world. When it comes to personalized service, LUX Marijani is one of the very best ever! I am writing this review from my next resort, the very luxury and expensive Tulia resort at Zanzibar. There is nothing wrong to say about the service level at Tulia, but they have no change to beat LUX Marijani when it comes to personalized service. Our oceanfront room (no. 7) is probably one of the best rooms in the hotel with wonderful beach and sea view. The room is well appointed and spacious, equipped with everything you could want. The room and rest of the hotel was spotless cleaned every day. Thanks a lot, to our beautiful housekeeper Mrs. Mwana! The room had a very efficient air-conditioning. The free Wi-fi is working well all around the resort. We stayed on a half-board basis and the buffet breakfasts and dinners offered plenty of variety. We could also order from à la carte menu for dinner. There was also a good choice of wine available. Among all the nice and smiling restaurant staff I would like to give Mrs. Stella in the restaurant a special mention for her exceptional level of friendly service! The beautiful grounds of the hotel were very well maintained as you can see on my attached photos. You will meet a lot of staff when strolling around, all with smiles on their faces and ready to say hello or good morning. The pool area with loungers was wonderful and never felt busy! There are also plenty of sun loungers and parasols available at the beach part of the hotel and food and drinks can easily be ordered and brought to you by the waiters and waitresses while you relax and sunbathe. A huge congratulation to the owner and rest of the team at LUX Marijani! Keep up the amazing job as you guys are making your clientele happy, relaxed, and special!
