Excellent service and an outstanding response from Francesca – thank you for saving our honeymoon! 🌺 We visited Zanzibar as the last stop of our honeymoon after an incredible safari adventure through Africa. For our final days, we chose the Gold Zanzibar because we were looking for a beautiful, intimate place to relax and unwind completely. While the hotel itself is absolutely beautiful — with stunning facilities and one of the most spectacular beaches we’ve ever seen — we soon realized that the atmosphere was a bit livelier than what we were looking for at this stage of our trip. It’s a fantastic resort, but perhaps more suited to those looking for a social and animated environment rather than total privacy. When we mentioned this to the hotel staff, they reacted with such professionalism, kindness, and speed that we were truly impressed. In particular, we want to express our deepest gratitude to Francesca, the relationship manager, who went above and beyond to make sure our experience was perfect. Francesca immediately understood our situation, spoke with us in our own language, and personally took care of every detail. Within just a couple of hours, she had arranged an amazing alternative for us in another property from the same group — a place that suited exactly what we were looking for. Her empathy, efficiency, and genuine care completely turned things around for us and made the end of our honeymoon absolutely wonderful. Thank you so much to Francesca and the entire team at Gold Zanzibar for showing such dedication and hospitality. Our stay at Gold Zanzibar was nothing short of spectacular. As soon as we arrived we were immediately greeted and made to feel at home. In celebration of our honeymoon we were upgraded to a beautiful villa with private pool and butler service - very comfortable and clean accommodation. The amenities including pool, spa, beach and bars were all fantastic. We were also amazed by the food, with so many options and the quality was remarkable, all very fresh, the best pasta we’ve had outside of Italy, great local cuisine too. But what stood out the most was the absolutely amazing service. Every single member of hotel staff went above and beyond to greet us at every opportunity, make us feel at home, offer us anything we could wish for and just engage in conversation; they seemed genuinely interested in getting to know us. We are fortunate to stay at nice hotels around the world and the staff and service at Gold stand out as the very best we have ever experienced and by a very long way. We enjoyed complimentary sunset cruise on our final night for which we are very grateful. The occasional complimentary food and drink with bills showing ‘zero’ against each item, also a very generous touch. I would not hesitate to recommend Gold to anyone looking for accommodation in Zanzibar - furthermore, I would even encourage people to stay at Gold simply to see how the very best of hotels can and should be. I could not think of a single thing that could have been better or different. Thank you for an incredible experience.

We spent six days at Gold Zanzibar and overall had a truly beautiful experience. The food was absolutely wonderful, fresh, varied, and always delicious. The staff are what truly make this place special: from the warm and professional reception team to the attentive and kind Kilimanjaro restaurant staff. We’d like to give a special mention to Marry in the dining area, who greeted us every morning with a smile, poached eggs and a genuine kindness. Also to people from the Gold restaurant, always friendly and helpful, and to the massage therapists, who were simply excepcional, one of the best treatments we’ve ever had. The hotel itself is beautiful, relaxing, and well cared for. Our only issue was the noise at night. The hotel is located next to a bar that plays loud music until late, and unfortunately the rooms are not soundproofed. Several nights we were unable to sleep properly due to the noise. This was the only downside to an otherwise fantastic stay. We hope this feedback helps improve the experience for future guests, because everything else the location, the service, the vibe, was just amazing. Thank you to all the team for making our honeymoon so special!

We stayed at the hotel in September and we had a fabulous stay! The food was delicious and varied and every night there was a theme on dinner time, with a touch of local culture and traditions which was very interesting. The rooms and the hotel area was kept to a high standard of cleanliness and the green areas kept immaculate by the lovely gardeners. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, couldn't have asked for better customer service. Especially would like to thank Ali Makaba (the manager) who made our stay even more special. A little slice of paradise! We spent an amazing week at Gold Zanzibar Beach House and absolutely loved every moment of it! The rooms were spotless, beautifully appointed, and very comfortable. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive, always making sure we felt welcome and well taken care of—especially with the kids, which we really appreciated. The food was outstanding! Both restaurants offered delicious dishes with an impressive variety, and every meal felt like a treat. The swimming pool was large, clean, and perfect for relaxing! Everything was so well organized, and the atmosphere was peaceful and luxurious. We truly had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable getaway. Can’t wait to come back!
