I did not stay at the hotel but came for a solo lunch on a weekday.
The booking was easily made via WhatsApp, the team was very welcoming and made sure to give me all of the information to access the island easily at low tide.
Their focus is on quiet and discretion and I will make sure to book one of their 6 villas with private pool for my next trip.
Extra points for the adorable kitten roaming around the sand paths (and the staff for keeping it to use it as a litter box 😂).
The view from the restaurant is breathtaking. Lunch took a couple hours but it’s to be expected when they went to fish my sea urchin while I had a cocktail and ice cold sparkling water.
The staff made sure I was aware of the delay and was very nice and attentive.
I got to enjoy the panoramic view of the ocean and breeze on a hot and sunny day.
I would highly recommend their restaurant as a treat, yes it’s more expensive than most spots in Zanzibar, as a luxury treat it’s totally worth it.

My husband and I stayed nearby for a week. During this time, we visited the Island twice.
The first time, we came for the ‘day leisure package’. Which meant we spent the full day there as guests. We walked across as it was low tide and we were greeted by the most friendly staff and a fresh coconut to drink too. We were shown around the island and settled by the pool to relax. The package also included a 3 course lunch with wine, which was absolutely delightful and so delicious. We stayed until late afternoon and had the best day 😊
We visited again for dinner one evening - this time it was high tide so needed a boat to get us across which was lovely. We had a gorgeous dinner with sangria and played uno (they have multiple games in their reception area). Again, the staff and service were impeccable and the food was divine.
Thank you, we had a wonderful time and will surely recommend to others travelling to Zanzibar! 😊

If you want to eat good food in a restaurant on a rock in the middle of the sea, go here. 'The Rock' restaurant at Paje beach is more famous, but this is both bigger and better. You can even rent rooms here.
The food is a bit pricey, but not by much compared with others. The food is great and the service is excellent and the view is just awesome...Very highly recommended 😋🍸🍺🍽️❤️

The Starter was amazing. See the pictures.. This is the Octapus Mediterranean.
However the Lobster Tail (main) almost the most expensive meal on the menu, was a big disappointment. The photos that the resort advertised is misleading. I received a very small tail, ONE (more a crayfish tail than lobster tail.) very disappointed.....

What can I say but this was 10 out of 10. I couldn’t ask for a better experience to welcome me into the 40s club. Franck, Regina and the entire staff was absolutely a delight. From the minute we arrived The staff truly was nothing but extraordinary. Regina immediately knew what we needed to begin our day and she delivered. From the espresso martini to the sangrias and food everything was so perfect. We also participated in the full body massage with Aaisha and let me tell you her hands was sent from heaven above. To be able to swim in the middle of the ocean and walk through it was an experience of its own. I absolutely hope anyone and everyone who has an opportunity to visit ZANZIBAR makes there way to the island. Worth EVERY PENNY AND WHAT A MEMORABLE MOMENT IT WAS.
