We spent two wonderful weeks at Gran Tacande as a couple, and this was our second visit — once again, everything exceeded our expectations. Our room was spacious, very comfortable, and spotlessly clean, with excellent housekeeping. The beach is just a few steps away, the seaside promenade is perfect for evening strolls, and shops, restaurants, and essential services are all within easy walking distance. Breakfast is excellent, poolside dining is convenient, and dinner at Restaurante Haydée by Víctor Suárez was a true highlight. The hotel bar with live music provided a relaxing evening atmosphere, and the staff were always friendly and attentive. The saltwater pool area is pleasant and never crowded, and the hotel’s peaceful location makes it ideal for relaxation. We can wholeheartedly recommend Gran Tacande to anyone seeking comfort, great service, and a truly relaxing stay by the sea.

Had such a fantastic holiday here The staff are incredible. They couldn’t have been more friendly and lovely to our kids The hotel is large however it has a real sense of intimacy, warmth and authenticity We walked to another hotel which was much newer and had every single facility under the sun included, but it just felt soulless…. The complete opposite to this special place. The room was great Location fantastic - next door to the beach One area of improvement would be the water in the swimming pools (would be great if they were chlorine and not salt water) but this did not make me consider giving anything less than 5*

Everything about this hotel has been first class. Firstly the environment is a place you want to be, the hotel is beautifully designed with all the amenities you could need. The pool facilities are perfect with something for everyone. Every member of staff that you meet are extremely friendly and helpful and customer service is always at the fore front. The restaurants on site are ideal for anyone, the choice for breakfast and dinner in the buffet restaurant are second to none and the beach club for a spot of lunch is ideal. All staff are amazing. Will definitely be back soon! Thank you

Fantastic stay at Gran Tacande.- overall I loved my time here. The staff were very attentive and caring. Steven front of house was always warm and caring with a great memory for guests and their preferences. Olivier , yoan, franco, cosmo and all the other staff were great in the restaurant as well. Giving a great service and always trying to help and ensure guests were catered for. Luis and Alejandra front check in were always supportive too. Only drawback was that the walls were a touch thin and you could hear guests next door but this was the only drawback. Apart from that cannot recommend enough

Room: - Spacious room with balcony with sun loungers - Large comfortable bed - Plenty of room to hang and store clothing - Overall clean but parts of the bathroom and furniture look slightly tired Service: - Excellent service, all the staff were very kind and friendly - Each interaction felt personal and the staff can speak a variety of languages - Free bottle of water in the room each day as part of the cleaning service was a nice touch - Drinks ordered at the beach bar were delivered to your sun-bed - Only minor critique was service could be a little slow at breakfast Food: - Only stayed for breakfast but there was plenty of options, all cooked well. We enjoyed the omelette station where you could choose your fillings and it was made in front of you - The pool bar was slightly pricey but quality was good and the food tasty Location: - Excellent location was convenient access to the beach via a gate - Plently of nice restaurants in walking distance - Felt safe walking around at all hours - €12 taxi to Playa Las Americas Hotel & Pool - Lots of pools all kept very clean with nice views of the sea and mountains - Enjoyed the pool classes throughout the days - Fresh towels that could be exchanged for new ones throughout the day - Generally relaxed atmosphere - The hotel lobby and hotel aesthetics were very nice and clean - Only negative was the sun-bed towel reservation culture seemed to be rife. If you were not by the pool just before 10am (when the towel shack opened) then you would struggle to get a bed. Many guests would keep their towels from the previous day to then come out early and use to reserve a bed and immediately swap for new towels once the shack was open. Normally this would be fine but many bed remained unoccupied for hours until the guest came down. I would hope for better monitoring on this for a 5 star
