Loved it!! The staff were so welcoming attentive. I was upgraded to a suite which was huge and very clean, I believe room service came by everyday. The view was amazing and being able to hear the waves splash ashore. I loved the food I feel the options and proportions are better than other resorts I’ve stayed at. They also had entertainment at night on site to keep everyone occupied. The check in check out process was simple and easy. I definitely plan on coming back. Thank you for an amazing time!
Oh and the spa, I can say the experience was a 10/10. The shower in the jungle loved loved it. So relaxing and I felt very grounded after.

I stayed at this wonderful property for 5 days for a friend's wedding/honeymoon trip, and every part of the stay exceeded expectations. But one highlight was the beautiful and delicious breakfast at Vela that started my day. The breakfast crew of Alfredo, Angel, Edgardo, and Michel gave me and my family top class service every day. They made sure my coffee cup was never empty and tended to all of our needs! Many thanks to all staff of this property!

I don’t usually write reviews, but I feel compelled to share our experience at this resort so other families planning their annual vacation can avoid the massive disappointment we faced.
Kids Pool: Dirty and Neglected
The kids’ pool was green, oily, and filthy—so much so that none of our friends dared to let their children step in. We complained, but the following day, it was even worse. Imagine paying a substantial amount for a family-friendly resort, only to find the pool so disgusting that you wouldn’t even put your feet in it, let alone let your kids play there. Our friends kids got badly sick after the first day playing in that pool.
Food and Fruit Selection: Shocking for Mexico
One of the reasons we were excited about this trip was the prospect of enjoying fresh, tropical Mexican fruits. Instead, we were met with a limited selection: orange, grapefruit, and occasionally kiwi. There was no mango, passion fruit, or any of the exotic fruits you’d expect on a trip to Mexico. Even bananas were rare—on one morning, a small batch appeared and disappeared almost immediately because guests were desperate for fruit.
The real shocker? No avocado or guacamole. At a resort in Mexico, and at a Hilton, you’d think these would be staples. Even the on-site Mexican restaurant didn’t have guacamole on the menu. We had to repeatedly request it, and after much insistence, we were given a small bowl to share among eight people.
Entertainment: Nonexistent
The entertainment was below mediocre. The bar closes at 12 a.m., and after that, there’s nothing to do. Most resorts have a variety of activities by the pool or beach during the day, but here, there was almost nothing. It felt like we were left to entertain ourselves. Thankfully, we were traveling with a large group of 50 people, so at least we didn’t feel completely bored.
Room Service and Housekeeping: Inefficient
Room service takes at least 90 minutes—prepare for long waits. Housekeeping was also frustrating. Despite being out during the day, we’d return by 3 p.m. to find our room still uncleaned. Housekeeping typically arrived around 4 p.m., when we were already back in the room, forcing us to ask them to skip cleaning. We ended up with a messy room for most of the stay.
Final Thoughts
All the families we traveled with were equally unhappy. Last night, we collectively decided not just to avoid this resort but to boycott Hilton altogether. For the price we paid, the experience was nowhere near what we expected.
Avoid this resort if you’re planning a trip with your kids and want a stress-free, enjoyable vacation—it’s simply not worth it

Our stay at the Hilton Tulum All-Inclusive was wonderful! The resort is beautiful, with stunning beachfront views, modern and spacious accommodations, and a variety of dining options that truly impressed us. Every meal felt like a treat, with fresh ingredients and attentive service.
The resort offers excellent amenities, including multiple pools and activities to keep the whole family entertained. The staff were friendly and went above and beyond to make our experience special, ensuring we felt welcomed and cared for throughout our stay.
The only downside was that the kids' pools were very cold, which didn’t allow our son or adults to fully enjoy them.
Overall, we had a memorable and relaxing vacation and would recommend Hilton Tulum for families looking for a luxurious getaway.

A great stay with some important considerations
We recently stayed at the Hilton Tulum All-Inclusive Resort and had an overall enjoyable time! The food at the five restaurants was excellent, offering a variety of delicious options that impressed us at every meal. The rooms were modern, spacious, and impeccably clean upon arrival, ensuring a very comfortable stay.
The staff was incredibly friendly, especially at the Kids Club, where our kids had a blast. They also loved the golf cart rides around the resort, which turned out to be a highlight of their trip!
That said, there were a few notable downsides. Surfaces around the resort can get extremely slippery when wet, so do exercise caution, especially after rain or near the pools. Additionally, securing restaurant reservations during peak season (Christmas and New Year’s) was quite challenging, and when we did get seated, the service was noticeably slow.
We also encountered some minor frustrations with guest services. On one occasion, our room wasn’t cleaned, and essentials like coffee capsules and fresh towels weren’t restocked. However, the staff quickly addressed these issues after we called, which we appreciated.
While there were a few hiccups, Hilton Tulum is a beautiful resort with excellent amenities and fantastic dining. With some adjustments, this could be an even better experience for guests.
