I recently stayed at Margaritaville Rivera Maya. The rooms were spacious, well-appointed, and impeccably clean, providing a comfortable retreat after a long day of exploring. While the hotel is about 40 minutes from downtown. If you want to be closer to the action, I suggest you stay in the hotel zone. The spa service was excellent.
Although it doesn’t have beach access, the property has nice pools. The highlight of my stay was the exceptional service from Noel. He was incredibly attentive, and ensuring my stay was as pleasant as possible.
Overall, I would recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable stay.

The resort ambassador Jesus was amazing and made us feel very welcomed. 5 stars to him for his help and service to us! He was truly a great ambassador.
The room was also clean and very nice besides the shower drain being clogged and flooding the whole room.
Other than that the service wasn’t the greatest at the beach house and taco house. A few workers didn’t seem happy to serve us but others were pleasant.
We Ordered room service one night and took an hour for a pizza. The Italian restaurant wasn’t good but the food from the other restaurants were pretty good. Overall it was a good experience but I wish there was more to do at night. Mostly a place for relaxing and chilling by the pool so if you’re looking to party this isn’t the place.

We had an overall lovely stay at this resort with many positive aspects! The room decor was stunning, and the resort’s Caribbean/Bahamas style adds a lot of charm, with great attention to detail throughout. Most of the rooms offer ocean views and are very close to the beach, letting you enjoy the breeze and the relaxing sounds of the palms and ocean—a wonderful experience. The a la carte restaurants available by reservation were a nice touch, and the quality of drinks was impressive, though the included wine could use improvement.
However, there were a few small issues. At check-in, our room wasn’t ready on time, which was a bit inconvenient. The service at the Beach House restaurant and some of the bars wasn’t always the best—some staff seemed a bit tired and not as attentive as they could have been, which was a contrast to the otherwise good service in other areas.
The kids’ club also had limited hours (about 4 hours total daily ), which wasn’t ideal for planning activities. Activities and entrainment are great considering the size of the resort. While the food was hit or miss, the resort’s smaller, boutique feel made for a cozy atmosphere. Despite a few service issues, the resort’s decor, proximity to the ocean, and relaxing ambiance made our stay enjoyable.

This resort is a very well maintained property. There are pools everywhere each with a bar! The beach front section isn't super big but we had plenty of loungers to choose from. Staff were knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. Food was good especially at Rita's Tacos.
