I booked my stay through a travel agency in Bali, and since I did not make my reservation directly on Booking.com, I am leaving my review here to assist other travelers in making informed decisions. First and foremost, I want to ensure that potential guests are not misled by agencies in Bali or Romania into choosing this hotel, as it could ruin their vacation experience. The pricing is significantly inflated; it seems that travel agencies secure reservations at very low rates and then pass on the cost to tourists. Otherwise, I cannot comprehend why they would recommend a place that charges the same rates as renowned international hotels where you can genuinely find five-star service. This hotel barely qualifies as a three-star establishment. I booked four nights with breakfast, but I couldn't manage to sleep even a single night. When I requested a refund, the manager flatly refused to reimburse me. The rooms were in terrible condition—furniture was old, mattresses were worn out, and the linens were stained as if there had been bedbugs. The air conditioning was noisy and inadequate for what one would expect from a five-star hotel, where a quiet internal ventilation system should allow for a restful night's sleep. The staff appeared poorly groomed, with dirty uniforms. The pool area was unkempt, and there was litter on the paths and beach. The overall state of maintenance is glaringly evident from the hotel lobby, where the tattered upholstery on the chairs and the dirt on the floor immediately capture your attention. I noticed that this hotel has a high rating on Booking.com; however, I suspect that unfavorable reviews may have been deleted. For those from Romania reading this, I must say that staying here feels akin to being at Eforie. I hope my experience can save others from a disappointing stay.

Merusaka Nusa Dua is a good hotel with great facilities, but the service could be improved. After experiencing other exceptional hotels in Bali with outstanding service, this one falls slightly short in comparison. The facilities are excellent, with a large swimming pool area and a beautiful private beach. The beach is very clean, the ocean is crystal clear, and the private setting adds to its charm. Service, however, was not up to the mark. While we understand it’s a large and busy hotel, the personalized attention that Bali is known for was lacking. I’d rate the service 3 stars. The food is decent but not exceptional. The buffet offers a wide variety, though it’s more of a standard spread for breakfast and lunch rather than something extraordinary. We also dined at one of the beachside restaurants, but the food was just average. I’d recommend booking a pool access room, which shares a pool among six rooms. It’s a relaxing option when spending time in your room. The room size is decent, but the overall vibe of the hotel feels more commercial than boutique. Overall, it’s a nice place to stay, especially for its facilities and beach, but the service and food could use some improvement.

I stayed with my wife in this hotel in July 2024. The experience was truly amazing from start to finish. A special mention to Andre who has always served us perfectly. Extraordinary mention for the service of romantic meal on the beach, we were pampered It is very clear that we will return soon.

Me and my lovely wife spent a we here. This resort is wonderful it has everything you need. The restaurant is awesome, beach access multiple pools. Adult pools with bar all view of the ocean. The spa was very nice as well. We had a blast. I differently recommend. Bail excepts my debt card, visa and master card with issue that I was a foreigner. Well recommended

Clearly the worst hospitality we received during our time in Bali! While the location of the hotel is great, our experience here was soured by the terrible customer service we received from the duty manager upon arrival. Though we understand (as was explained to us) that the hotel had received an incorrect booking code for the room type we had booked on trip.com, we felt that the matter could have been handled a lot better by the manager, who could have shown a little goodwill towards their guests, considering we had shown her a copy of our booking confirmation. We were given a standard deluxe room even though we had booked one with pool access, and were told that if we wanted the room we had booked (and already paid for) we would have to offer a guarantee! Thankfully, the trip.com agent we chatted to was able to resolve the issue within a couple of hours, and we were able to check into our correct hotel room later. The manager offered no response or apology for the incident, showing a complete lack of care in their guest. Pros: The location is the best thing about this place, near a pleasant beach and a close walk to the Bali Collection shopping area. The staff handling the luggage and driving the carts were great. Cons: The room we received was dated and had a musty smell that would occasionally waft through. Also, the first room we had to check in to had a shower that was in need of repair. Some of the staff could be a bit more helpful. For example, there was a very long line at checkout. I approached the concierge to ask if there was a quicker way to check out as we just needed to drop the cards off. I was told no, that I had to join the queue. It was only later while speaking to another hotel guest that I found out there was a self-checkout computer at the front desk. I’m not sure if it’s a lack of training with the staff, but things like this are important to us guests. TLDR: Nice location, terrible hospitality from the duty manager, tired musty room.
