Subject: Feedback regarding breakfast service – February 14, 2026 Dear Novotel Nusa Dua Management Team, I recently spent 11 days in Bali this February with my family. Bali is truly a beautiful and wonderful destination, and it is a place we would gladly visit again and highly recommend to others. During our stay, we visited several areas including Legian, Ubud, Sanur, and Nusa Dua, and the hotels we stayed at were consistently warm and welcoming. However, I would like to share an unpleasant experience that occurred at Novotel Nusa Dua during breakfast on February 14, 2026. Unfortunately, during breakfast on February 14, 2026, I experienced a situation at the egg station that left me feeling uncomfortable and disappointed. I ordered fried eggs over easy. Shortly thereafter, an Australian guest ordered sunny-side-up eggs. Two staff members were working at the station. One staff member prepared my over-easy eggs and was about to hand them to me. However, a second staff member, who appeared to be more senior, instructed him to serve the Australian guest first. As a result, my eggs were given to the other guest ahead of me, and I had to wait for another portion to be prepared. While I understand that mistakes can happen in a busy breakfast setting, this did not appear to be a simple oversight. The instruction was deliberate. At that moment, I felt that I was treated unfairly. I chose not to escalate the matter publicly at the time in order to avoid embarrassment for everyone involved. Later, my wife mentioned that she had experienced a similar situation while ordering eggs. During our three breakfasts at the hotel, this was the only staff member whose behavior raised concern. However, equal treatment of guests is a fundamental expectation in international hospitality. No guest should feel that another guest is being prioritized without clear and fair reason. I respectfully request that this matter be reviewed internally and that appropriate staff training be reinforced to ensure fairness, professionalism, and consistency in guest service. We stayed at Novotel Bali Nusa Dua for the second time and cannot recommend it highly enough. Our first stay was in April 2024, and since then there have been noticeable improvements—particularly around the pool area. New sunbeds, a mini pool bar in the adults’ pool, updated bar furniture, and a completely new beach club with new tables, chairs, bar and kitchen have really elevated the experience. While the rooms are a little older and show some wear, they were clean, comfortable, and fully functional with no issues during our stay. One small area for improvement would be ensuring amenities are provided for the correct number of guests (we had three people in the room but only received amenities for two). That said, we’ve experienced this across multiple Accor properties, so it may be a system or communication issue rather than hotel-specific. Special thanks to Ulan and Ani from the Kids Club—our daughter and nephew absolutely adored them and asked to go back every day. Also, a big thank you to Sri in the restaurant for her exceptional service and the way she handled a concern about a dish that wasn’t cooked properly. She went above and beyond. Overall, this is a resort we would happily recommend. It’s spacious yet cosy, with centralised amenities (pools, spa, kids club) and a genuinely warm, welcoming atmosphere. Nikola & Mila R.

I purchased a luxury escapes package and found my experience at novotel amazing. The staff learn your name and service is so friendly and accomodating. The buffet breakfast is vast and has a lot of variety. The spa is beautiful and relaxing. The concierge will assist with any special requests. I ws blessed to habe my birthday here and they made beautiful decorations in the room as a lovely surprise. Thank you to everyone and special shoutout to Pauline, Yuka, Yuda, Indah and Devi. Sorry i dont recall everyones name but im having the best time.

We stayed at Novotel from 15–23 January with our two kids and had a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, the service was excellent and made our stay very comfortable. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always welcoming. We really enjoyed the beach club and the pool both were fantastic and perfect for families. One of the highlights of our stay was our son’s birthday, which was beautifully prepared and became a truly unforgettable moment for our family. Special thanks to Juan from Novotel and Hadi from AVC for their kindness and help in arranging everything so smoothly. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would definitely recommend Novotel for a relaxing family holiday.

I am giving this hotel 3 stars based on our overall experience. Novotel Nusa Dua is unfortunately showing its age. The building feels very old and clearly in need of renovation, and it does not reflect the standard or atmosphere one would expect from a five-star hotel. Upon arrival, we were assigned to a handicap room, which was disappointing as this was not requested or informed beforehand. The bathroom in particular was unpleasant, appearing worn and not well-maintained, which made us uncomfortable. We immediately requested a room change, as we did not wish to stay in a handicap room. Thankfully, a male receptionist (unfortunately I did not catch his name) handled our request with patience, kindness, and professionalism. He genuinely listened to us and helped move us to a standard room. While the new room was slightly better, it still felt outdated. The most disappointing part of our stay, however, was the attitude of two female staff members — one waitress near the pool area and one female receptionist. They were friendly and engaging only toward my husband, while I was completely ignored. I was not greeted, spoken to, or acknowledged at all, despite standing right there. It made me feel invisible and deeply offended. This treatment raised a very uncomfortable question: Was I treated differently because my husband is a foreigner while I am a local Balinese woman? If so, this is absolutely unacceptable. Hospitality should never involve discrimination or selective friendliness. These two staff members require serious retraining to ensure all guests are treated with equal respect and courtesy. Thankfully, not all staff reflected this behavior. We were very pleased with the housekeeping team, who were consistently warm, polite, and genuinely respectful without any form of discrimination. Their attitude was one of the highlights of our stay. Overall, Novotel Nusa Dua has potential, but it urgently needs renovation, better quality control, and improved staff training, especially regarding equal treatment of all guests. But, we were pleased with their food was really good! And they have nice beach club.
