In Desperate Need of Refurbishment
This property feels more like a two or three-star hotel rather than what it claims to be.
Positives:
The location and pool area are the only redeeming features. However, be aware that the hotel is not on the beach as the website images suggest. Despite this, the beach is a short 5-minute walk away, so the location isn’t terrible.
Negatives:
I paid a hefty amount for a two-night stay, only to be met with a hotel that looks at least 25-30 years old, with no signs of refurbishment. The room design is bizarre—larger bathrooms than bedrooms, which are dingy and worn out. The furniture is outdated, and the overall atmosphere is far from inviting.
Breakfast was just average, with few edible options. While the coffee was decent, we were shocked when we ordered a chicken sandwich, found it raw, sent it back, and were still charged for it. The experience left a bad impression.
I won’t be returning anytime soon. Hopefully, Novotel will take note and invest in refurbishing this property.

It was the most amazing experience ever! Loved our stay from the moment we got out of the taxi. Everyone is so friendly and helpful, always greeted with a smile throughout the whole premises by everyone. We loved relaxing in the pool, waiters coming around the whole time to take orders, bar is so nice and the view is just wow! Restaurant served food out of this world every single meal we’ve ordered. Breakfast was stunning with so many options to choose from. Resort has the perfect location, close to Bali Collection and the street markets, salons and spa’s. All in walking distance. Novotel Bali will definitely see us again! Will definitely bring the family. It's a child friendly.
For now it was a Mother/Daughter trip out of this world!

We stayed in a deluxe king bed pool view with balcony, 2 adults and 2 young kids. The room was nice and spacious. The kids loved the pool. Because the room was a pool view room, there was expected noise from the pool, but the noise neither started early nor ended really late, and was not an issue. If you prefer more peace and quiet during the day, then the pool view room is probably not the best choice.
What I did appreciate was that the staff contacted us because we left a cable charger in the room. It was a very thoughtful gesture.

Wow - what an incredible stay. We had a deluxe room overlooking the pool with a balcony which was spacious and provided everything we needed, including blockout curtains if you like a sleep in. As soon as we arrived, I took a long soak in the huge bathtub as it was in the evening and room service. The steak was delicious! In the morning, we awoke to a lovely view. The grounds were a tropical oasis, well kept and maintained and perfect for taking photos. Breakfast was exceptional, as was all food at the restaurant. We loved the Balinese-themed night and took advantage of the wonderful cocktails at the bar. We were treated to the most amazing massage at the hotels In Balance Spa which was divine. The location was perfect, so peaceful and away from the hustle and bustle. It was within walking distance to the beach, shops and restaurants although so much was available at the resort and easy not leave it with everything at our disposal. We spent many hours in the pool, relaxing under a cabana with friends or on a sun lounge reading. All staff were most welcoming and always had the Balinese smile. There is a money exchanger in the lobby with competitive rate, making it safe and secure to exchange money. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Was here for a 4D3N arrangement for a friend's wedding, and found the place to be more suited for couples/family getaways where kids can freely roam and enjoy experiences with the family either within the hotel grounds or at the nearby private-access beach linked to the hotel.
The hotel location was in a security-checked, cozy and private area within Nusa Dua, where there is a linked well-landscaped garden walk to connecting hotels, as well as the nearby Bali Collection.
Though the hotel room is huge and styled and updated to more modern designs, I would have to say the room lacked basic amenities as expected from a 5-star hotel, and had to be specifically requested when needed. The Internet speeds were also not too fantastic but usable.
Interesting point is that their private beach bar wasn’t well stocked on any local avocados, which I believe many of my peers had wanted to have but can’t seem to find anywhere around, especially for a local hotel bar. Sincerely hope that would change on my next potential visit!
Overall, it is a cozy and private experience but probably not too suitable for solo travellers unless you are seeking a very safe and clean experience, then this hotel experience is definitely one for you!
