We stayed 4 nights at Room 530 and 739 during the New Year time. Spacious room with comfortable bed. Good service too. However, we disappointed at the check-in when the room only ready at 4.30 pm and need to pay extra IDR 1,4 mil per-night for connecting room of 739, when connecting room already reserved thru the receptionist by phone. Otherwise, we would not booked the rooms. Breakfast just so so but service was great

If you want to be near great beaches/ restaurants/ cafes or services with massages salons etc. , don’t even think about this hotel. Also, it’s not accessible for people in a wheelchair which is on the hotel’s website. The location is so far away from literally everything. The transfer to the beach is a joke as the beach is so small.

I recently stayed at the Sakala Resort in Bali, and it was a truly wonderful experience! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. The rooms were top-quality, providing a luxurious and comfortable retreat. The breakfast spread was impressive, offering a wide variety of options to suit every palate. It was a pleasant surprise to see Indian dishes included alongside halal options – a thoughtful touch for diverse guests. A special shoutout to Tiur and Manager Areo for their exceptional hospitality! They were incredibly cooperative. What truly made our experience memorable was the thoughtful souvenir we received at checkout – a beautiful photo captured during breakfast. Such personal touches made us feel valued and appreciated as guests. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would highly recommend the Sakala Resort to anyone visiting Bali. Thank you to the entire team for making our trip so special!

Worst hotel we stayed in during our 3 weeks of Bali travel. Dirty Breakfast stale. Inedible. Daughter couldn't chew. Flies around food. Noone checking if food fresh and covered. Tables dusted down between guests but never spray wipes. Turn off pool features in low season but lie and say don't work so no jacuzis etc. Bathroom sink blocked and never sorted Advertised with kitchenette but do not provide anything to cook and not allowed knives Tried to cook and induction wasn't even wired up! 1.5hrs of waiting with a hungry baby. Kitchen sink wasnt connected properly and was leaking in to a cupboard. They gave someone keys to check in to our room while we were still there. Woke the baby who wouldn't then sleep. Best they could do was apologise. Didn't offer to make system changes or anything to compensate. We didn't sleep all night worried someone would come in (baby's cot was in living area and we were in bedroom) Housekeeping take forever. Waited 1hr for water to make babies milk. Door lock stopped working new Years day so couldn't come in and out of room. Just stayed in. Took them best part of the day to fix. When checking out multiple people complaining regarding the same... Theirs hadn't been fixed and had to keep going to reception. Bathroom light cover fell on my head. Fscilities closed over new years but not warned in advance. Rude reception No turn down service/spray down of rooms. All other Bali hotels we stayed in would spray rooms in evenings. We all got the most mozzie bites here. Despite 3 of us in room, mostly only got 2 towels so we would have to share. Managment awful. Reported all issues as they occurred to try to resolve but most things ignored and given a simple reply 'sincere apologies'. One guest relation staff acts interested and talks to you over breakfast but whole time just on his phone. All issues mentioned in writing over WhatsApp. Don't let photos fool you. Their website depicts the conference centre and beach club. This is not where rooms are! For the beach you have to take a shuttle. Nothing 5* about this place. I could go on but don't want to bore you. Many families we spoke to in pool all said they wouldn't come back and had issues with the hotel/not being given what they paid for/having to pay for things again. One paid for wheelchair accessible room and then not given one. Someone else said same regarding someone trying to open their door. Shambles really. A shame as so much potential under right management and better upkeep. Rooms spacious. We loved the pool access room. Gita in the restaurant was amazing to us and helped us get fresh food. Nanda is the only one who from management sat and listened. Not sure if changes will be made. Also the kids club and it's staff are lovely The 'on the floor' team like bar staff, restaurant waiting staff etc all incredible. Were so kind and hardworking. We were given a spa treatment after much fighting and the spa seemed lovely. A shame and we really regret booking a week here. Thankfully now enjoying an actual 5* hotel in Singapore! Sakala is 3* at best! For the price you pay, get a true 5* elsewhere.

We stayed at the Sakala Hotel in Bali for 30 days in July. The service was absolutely top-notch! The staff were incredibly warm and always tried to assist us with every request. The hotel is very well maintained, and the food is of the highest quality. The beach at the location is not suitable for swimming, as there are water sports activities taking place there. However, there is an alternative with a shuttle service to a small private beach owned by the hotel. The only downside for us was the continuous music, which made it difficult to find a quiet spot to take a phone call, work remotely, read a book, or simply enjoy some peace and quiet.
