Stayed here for our anniversary with connecting room for the kids. Room amenities was OK, air-conditioning unit could have been better. Bottled water might not be enough on a sunny day. Bed and pillows are great. The hotel is situated right in the heart of Nusa Dua, and conveniently boasts a beautiful clean beach nearby. The service team was exceptional - fantastic and incredibly accommodating. The place is beautifully decorated, featuring the iconic Bali gate, and it would make an ideal setting for seaside weddings. However, the breakfast buffet lacked some key traditional Indonesian local delicacies, focusing more on western choices. But despite that, overall our experience was excellent!

My recent stay at the Handwritten Nusa Dua Beach Hotel & Spa was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was swept up in the luxury, warmth, and genuine hospitality that define this beautiful property. The standout moment for me was the surprise upgrade to a suite, which included a private balcony. The extra space and comfort were perfect. I truly felt like a valued guest, thanks to such thoughtful touches. What really made this stay special, though, was the level of personalized service. From the start, the staff at the Executive Lounge were incredibly friendly, taking the time to make me feel at home. I was also welcomed on arrival by the Duty/Sales Manager, and it was a lovely surprise to be bid farewell by the Duty Manager, Puri, upon my departure. These little gestures really show the attention to detail that makes Handwritten Nusa Dua a standout. The location of the hotel is perfect, right on the seaside, providing easy access to the beach. I was thoroughly impressed with the variety of F&B options available, but the Raja Restaurant really deserves a special mention. It was an experience in itself, with traditional Balinese flavors and impeccable service. If you’re a foodie, it’s a must-try and, in my opinion, star-worthy. The hotel’s lush gardens are another highlight. It felt like a tropical oasis. The spa’s pool was incredibly calming, and the Balinese massage was absolutely rejuvenating. A true escape! One of the most unique and touching experiences was being invited to participate in the Full Moon Ceremony at the hotel’s on-site temple. It was a beautiful and spiritual experience, made even more special by the fact that the hotel provided guests with traditional Balinese attire to wear for the ceremony. This gesture really added to the cultural immersion and made the stay feel deeply authentic. Another aspect worth mentioning is the thoughtful convenience of the hotel. With shops on-site, including local vendors and an ATM, it’s easy to find everything you need without leaving the property. Lastly, the welcome at the hotel was spectacular, with a vibrant Balinese dance performance that instantly set the tone for what was to come. It was a small, yet powerful touch that made the arrival feel extra special. In summary, the Handwritten Nusa Dua Beach Hotel & Spa offers more than just a luxurious stay, it’s an experience steeped in hospitality, culture, and beauty. From the stunning suite to the thoughtful service and unique cultural experiences, it’s clear that the team here genuinely cares about their guests. I can’t wait to return!

Perfect place for our first trip to Bali. Hotel staff were professional, respectful and always ready to help. Buffet food was great, with a lot of healthy options. Room was cleaned everyday and facilities were spotless. Favorite restaurant was the Mexican place. The Guest Relations Office surprised me with a cake and beautiful roses on my birthday which was a very thoughtful way to appreciate guests! Lastly, we were able to use the spa and all facilities after check-out to accommodate our late evening flight home. We hung out at the beach, left our luggage with the concierge and took a shower at the spa before leaving for the airport. Thanks Nusa Dua Hotel and Spa for a fabulous first trip to Bali!

I enjoyed my stay at the Nusa Dua Beach, especially the amazing food and clear labelling of gluten free options, but there were some drawbacks. This is an older hotel and it's starting to show. Our room was lovely and spacious, but the air-conditioning was inefficient. One of the windows in the small entrance room, which doubles as the second bedroom in the family rooms only had very light sheer curtains and no extra blockout. Upgrading to blockout blinds would also help reduce demand on the air-conditioning and help make the rooms cooler. The sliding doors to our balcony also had a simple latch which meant the door didn't fully seal in order to lock the door. This resulted in additional heat getting into the room. Again, a simple fix which would reduce demand on the aircon and would reduce long-term running costs. The lighting in the rooms was also pretty poor. The option on opening the second set of louvre doors on the 2nd and third doors wasn't an option as it let in too much heat. While the food in the restaurants was incredible and the staff absolutely lovely, sitting in the restaurants during the day, with no aircon or weak fans, was really difficult. I get it, Bali is hot, but when you travel from a cooler climate it's difficult to adjust. Also, several fans in one of the restaurants (Tamarind) were broken! The spa facilities were also a little outdated, but the services were good. I highly recommend the hair spa to anyone struggling with frizzy humidity hair - it was wonderful, even if the surrounds were somewhat outdated. I would love to stay there again for the food alone, but would probably look at different hotels due to the issues mentioned above

Our stay at Nusa Dua Beach Hotel & Spa was absolutely wonderful. The staff went above and beyond with their friendly and attentive service. We did not manage to get all the names, but Darma and Wibawa on the omelette section were very cheerful and polite. Juli made great drinks at the pool bar. Citea from the breakfast time was really sweet and diligent. Also, Firma from Vip service was very helpful and competent. Our room was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed. We especially loved the beautiful gardens and the main pool area. The breakfast each morning was a highlight due to many delicious options to choose from! The location was also perfect. We can't wait to come back and would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and authentic Bali experience.
