I have stayed at the Railay Bay Resort twice now, once in 2019 and just recently, both times we have had an amazing stay! The resort is beautiful, with views of the cliffs right outside your front door. The service was great, they even rearranged and brought extra beds into our room to fit the amount of people we wanted. We stayed in the family suite with the pool which was so pretty and relaxing. They were very good about refilling our mini fridge and towels, and arranged a transfer back to the Phuket airport for us. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Railay Bay Resort & Spa is a decent hotel for Railay, especially considering that many of the remote-area resorts aren’t on the same level as mainland properties. The location is the highlight, but the hotel is definitely showing its age and would benefit from a renovation. We stayed for two nights and ended up experiencing two different rooms. The first room, 1008, had poor and leaking air conditioning and we also noticed a sewage smell coming from the bathroom at times. We moved to another room in the same category, Room 1001, which was noticeably better. It felt more modern, had stronger AC, an updated bathroom, and far less sewage smell, so the room quality can vary quite a bit. Also the outside jacuzzi could do with updating as not the most inviting! The location of the resort is great, with easy access to Railay West beach and beautiful views. It wasn’t too long of a walk to get around, and the buggy service made getting to reception easier when needed. We enjoyed watching the sunset from the loungers on both nights, which was one of the best parts of the stay. Breakfast was okay overall — a reasonable selection, halal-friendly options, and coffee that was actually decent for Thailand. Staff were friendly throughout our stay, although some had difficulty with English, but they always tried to help. One small downside was that we were advised to check out far earlier than necessary for our ferry to Phi Phi, and we ended up arriving almost an hour too early. Fortunately, there was a shaded spot to wait with a nice view of East Railay, so it wasn’t too bad. Overall, Railay Bay Resort & Spa offers a good location and enjoyable views, but the hotel could use some updating.

For the price and stars one would expect a better service oriented hotel. The hotel moved its reception from west side to east side without proper signs. We came from east port and went with all our luggage to west. The clerks in reception were not nice nor informative. Restaurant employees are managed inefficiently. Location is great. Hot water like no other place in Thailand. Facilities are nice. SPA is very good. The only exception to the above was a girl name Tumtang, a waitress in restaurant, who was very service oriented, very smily, pleasent, nice, informative and efficient. She made our stay feel much better. We stayed 3 nihhts and were refused for an hour of late check out when the hotel was mostly empty and the receptionist lied and said the reason was ''we are sorry it is fully booked. It would have even be better if they said they can't because of cleaning lady time and schedule. Overall, the hotel has great potential but not managed as well as it should.

The hotel was actually good. I was a bit worried when we booked, due to the negative experiences, but it was not the case for us. It's worth 4 out of 5 stars for the price we got it, due to some inconveniences. - The private jacuzzi villa was great. Our villa (at least), seemed renovated and the cleaning was done daily. The only inconveninces were that the toilet water pressure was a bit low, the bathroom lights were a bit to dim and the indoor fixed shower was a bit inconvenient. The outdoor shower worked just fine. - The jacuzzi was great, regardless of the other reviews we saw, ours was clean and functional, it filled up in like 15 minutes and the bubbles had enough pressure. - The included breakfast was ok, nothing fancy. It had variety of sweet and salty foods, drinks and fresh fruits. Apart from that, dining here was to expensive compared with the dozen restaurants you can find on the tourist street. - The staf was very friendly, nothing to add here. The airport transfer was very good, it helped us a lot since we arrived late, at around 8PM. - The massage is very good at the hotels spa. I highly recommend trying it even if it's more expensive than the street ones. The entire experience was very relaxing. - The wild life is fun! We had everything from small frogs on the villas pond to exotic birds and dusky leaf monkeys. This may be annoying for others be we liked their presence. To note here, that they may jump on roof or fence but are not intruding at all.

Excellent location but the resort itself was quite average. Rooms were not well kept and needed maintenance. Restaurant and food were average too. On the positive side the pool and spa are good. For a resort this size and price, the focus on safety and security was almost missing. An incident with a fellow resident was not addressed despite several calls. Overall not a resort I would recommend to friends.
