We spent our honeymoon at the Santhiya Resort & Spa on Koh Phangan and it was truly a dream! Everything was perfect from start to finish, and we honestly can’t understand some of the negative reviews here. The staff were incredibly warm, attentive, and professional. We immediately felt welcome and completely taken care of. Our Hideaway Pool Villa was absolutely stunning - beautifully designed, with so much attention to detail and thoughtful little extras that made our stay unforgettable. From our own beach bag to the mosquito-repellent lamps filling the villa with a scent we’ll remember for a lifetime. The resort itself is breathtaking, nestled in the jungle and wonderfully designed. Guests are taken anywhere on the property 24/7 with the wooden buggies; a service that’s both practical and fun. Anyone criticizing the location of the hotel or the long distances simply didn’t do their research beforehand. The food was absolutely delicious and consistently high-quality - both at the breakfast buffet and in the restaurants. In short: it was simply perfect. An unforgettable trip and an unforgettable time that we will carry in our hearts forever. 💛 We wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to experience paradise.

This is one of the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Every inch of Santhiya is carved wood : doors, pillars, ceilings, even staff cars; telling stories of Thai history and mythology through its details. It feels less like a resort and more like a living artwork suspended between jungle and sea. The villas feel private and peaceful, surrounded by jungle and birdsong, yet fully soundproof for perfect rest (quiet is rare in Koh Phangan) Service is exceptional: quick, kind, and seamless through WhatsApp with perfect english. The infinity pool blends into the forest, the food and cocktails are excellent, and the 24-hour wooden taxis make every ride part of the experience. Special thanks to Kai, Party, Belle, and Lily for making my stay flawless. A place that achieves a rare balance between luxury, peacefulness and authenticity.

We had the most perfect honeymoon stay at Santhiya! Our room was absolute stunning, so well appointed with great amenities. The resort was spotless, with a great range of activities and food. This place is paradise. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly - service was great, nothing felt like too much to ask. They were so professional, as you would expect from a resort of this standard. We had fantastic massages by the lovely ladies in the spa. There was loads of evening entertainment, from live music, to traditional dance, to fire shows on the beach. Santhiya is a must-stay, we are already planning on coming back!

My Honest Opinion Location: Perfect if you’re looking to truly disconnect and relax, as it’s a bit away from all the activities and lively atmosphere. The nearest “lively spot” is a small village you can reach by walking through the rocks (not a big deal, honestly) — around 20 minutes from the hotel beach. You can also rent a scooter if you fancy exploring more. Ideal for solo travels and families. Hotel: The hotel is beautiful, and the interior design is stunning. The theme is mainly wood, giving it a warm and authentic Thai feel. If you want to really feel like you’re in Thailand, this place nails it. Our room was gorgeous although a bit dark inside, and the hotel itself had two swimming pools in different areas — both absolutely stunning. Food: If you book with breakfast included, you won’t be disappointed. There’s a lot of variety, although it’s the same every day — so if you stay as long as we did (6 days), it can get a bit repetitive. The hotel has three restaurants; we tried two (the third was under maintenance). Sadly, both were a total disappointment — tasteless food, small portions, and overpriced (around three times more what you’d pay in the village). Honestly, it felt like a tourist trap. I’d highly recommend eating and drinking in the village instead — delicious food, great prices, and generous portions. Service: A total disappointment. There’s clearly very poor management. If you’re coming for a special occasion or staying for a long time, I’d avoid it at all costs. I genuinely don’t understand how service can be this bad when there’s so much staff. I’ve been to Thailand before and never felt so unwelcome — no smiles, no manners, no warmth. And when they did smile, it didn’t feel genuine; as soon as you turned around, their expressions changed completely, which was quite sad. They spent more time taking pictures (probably to prove things are clean for management) than checking on customers — in a “5-star hotel,” really? We stayed 6 days, and although the place itself was beautiful, I was honestly happy to leave. Service is the heart of any business, and this completely spoiled our holiday. In short: I’d recommend it only if you’re coming for a solo trip or remote work and just want peace and quiet. But if you’re celebrating something special, avoid it!

Great location if you want a quiet break. Beautiful rooms and hotel. The beach is stunning. Bad service We stayed 6 days and we were happy to leave as the service is very poor, you should hire less staff but be more focus on providing a good training. Maybe take staff with more experience
