I’ve stated at Six Senses Yao Noi which was one of the greatest resorts I’ve ever stayed at. This is not that. The personalised service doesn’t exist here. The food quality is fair and for the price very poor. Had a steak at the Night Market for literally 1/10 the price and it was much better. The spa didn’t listen. Told them 3 times to work on my injured arm only for them to spend the final 2 minutes on it. Once again over priced and poor. My recommendation to you is if you are looking for a beautiful resort and service isn’t as important than this is your place

We had a lovely vacation at Six Senses Samui. The resort is beautifully located and has a very relaxed atmosphere. The villas are fine – charming, but nothing extraordinary. I did miss having things like paddleboards or other beach activities available. For the price, I honestly expected more. It was almost twice as expensive as my last trip to Thailand, and the level of service was about the same. My wife really wanted to stay at Six Senses – and that was fine – but looking back, there are definitely other resorts that offer better service, better locations, and much better value for money.

We stayed at Six Senses Koh Samui for four days in an Ocean View Pool Villa to celebrate our wedding anniversary. This was our first time choosing a Six Senses property, and overall, we had a memorable experience. There’s so much to love about this resort that we would have given it five stars if not for a few areas that could be improved.
What We Loved:
Breathtaking Views –The villa's ocean view was simply stunning.
Exceptional Service – The staff was warm, attentive, and engaging (especially June, Fon). Whether we were having breakfast, lounging by the beach, or taking a buggy ride, they made sure we were comfortable and having a great time.
Thoughtful Beachside Service – Although the beach area isn’t large, the staff made all the difference. One particular team member (whose name we, unfortunately, didn’t catch) always ensured we had a beach chair, provided amenities, and even offered shade when needed. His hospitality truly stood out.
Dining Experience – The food was a highlight of our stay. While not inexpensive, the quality and service made it worthwhile. At Drift at the Beach, we highly recommend the pizzas and tacos. Dining on the Rocks was an unforgettable experience with excellent service and one of the best meals we’ve had.
Thai Buffet & Live Music – The Thai buffet was a delight, and the live band added to the atmosphere. Special mention to the singer, Jenna—her voice was incredible!
Areas for Improvement:
GEM Service – Our assigned GEM (Guest Experience Manager) didn’t seem too interested in engaging with us. The resort tour felt rushed, with minimal explanation of the locations. We later discovered a direct path to the beach from our villa, which would have saved a lot of time had we been informed. Even our anniversary acknowledgment felt like just another checkbox on a form. We also noticed she was more patient and attentive with other guests, personally guiding them to locations. This inconsistency in service was disappointing.
Pool Maintenance – Some areas of the pool floor appeared to have stains/ leaf tannins, which could use more attention.
Buggy Wait Times – Buggies sometimes took a while to arrive, and there were instances where other guests who arrived later managed to get on, leaving those who had booked still waiting. Some improvements in queue management would be appreciated.
Thoughts:
Despite some service hiccups, we had a wonderful stay at Six Senses Koh Samui. The breathtaking scenery, exceptional hospitality, and fantastic dining options made our anniversary trip special. We also appreciated the early check in and late check out to accomodate our flight time. With some refinements, this resort could easily be a five-star experience.

Stayed here for a few days in January 2025 and had a fantastic experience. All the hosts were absolutely lovely and took the time to get to know us and check in everyday. Special shoutout to our GEM Honey who seamlessly helped us book in everything we wanted to do during our stay. Rooms are luxurious as to be expected from Six Senses. Would also recommend doing a cooking class at the resort and reserving table 99 or 100 on Dining on the Rocks for a truly special dining experience.

Excellent - it was the best way to end our time exploring south east Asia. Once you enter the resort, you’re only ever a text away to your experience manager who will provide you with anything you need. Their dining options were each unique, and gave us plenty of variety to try new things every time we sat down to eat. Their hosted activities and excursion desk made exploring easy. Only wish we could have stayed longer.
