I’ve stated at Six Senses Yao Noi which was one of the greatest resorts I’ve ever stayed at. This is not that. The personalised service doesn’t exist here. The food quality is fair and for the price very poor. Had a steak at the Night Market for literally 1/10 the price and it was much better. The spa didn’t listen. Told them 3 times to work on my injured arm only for them to spend the final 2 minutes on it. Once again over priced and poor. My recommendation to you is if you are looking for a beautiful resort and service isn’t as important than this is your place

We had a lovely vacation at Six Senses Samui. The resort is beautifully located and has a very relaxed atmosphere. The villas are fine – charming, but nothing extraordinary. I did miss having things like paddleboards or other beach activities available. For the price, I honestly expected more. It was almost twice as expensive as my last trip to Thailand, and the level of service was about the same. My wife really wanted to stay at Six Senses – and that was fine – but looking back, there are definitely other resorts that offer better service, better locations, and much better value for money.

Perfect get away from reality. the resort is beautiful and special, feel like a continuing of natur. the service and staff are lovely, always happy to help. beautiful pools, great restaurants. the "dining on the rocks" restaurant is wow!!! highly recommended.

Stay: 12/2/24-12/7/24 (5 nights) Accommodation: Ocean View Pool Villa First off, our GEM - Mia - and almost all of the staff we interacted with at the Six Senses Samui; they were incredible and are the reason this resort would get a 4.5 rating. Everyone (save for one interaction at the spa) was very hospitable, helpful, and friendly. We felt at ease unwinding during this portion of our holiday to Thailand. Additionally, the grounds are scenic and unique. This property is set on a substantial hillside and it feels like some hidden, island retreat. We certainly enjoyed it, but there is some downside: unless you want to be sweating in 90F heat, you have to “reserve” buggy service to get to most places in the resort. For the most part this was a-ok. We had unfortunately mixed feelings about the room itself. It was a really good size and in a style that whisked you away to a tropical jungle retreat. The pool was fantastic and we really could have spent our entire stay confined to our room. We would also be remiss if we did not mention the bedding; it was the best we’ve had in any hotel/resort. The problem with the room was that it only had an outdoor shower. We quickly realized that only having an outdoor shower in a really tropical, humid, and bug-filled environment was not ideal. The real issue was that there were often insects that came up through the floorboards while showering. We are not super high-maintenance, but stepping on a centipede while showering at 5-star resort and not having a true (not using the wand in the sunken tub) different option is really disappointing. The room had all the other modern amenities, why not an indoor shower. And this could be easily remedied since the outdoor space had two sections, one of which could have been walled off. The dining/food was a bit of a mixed bag. We did really enjoy the Drift at the Beach and the almost Mexican-Thai fusion cuisine, and liked it so much we special ordered some room service from there while it was raining. The primary restaurant - Dining on the Hill - was pretty good, and we discovered a “trick” that we could sit at the adjacent bar - Drinks on the Hill - and order off the restaurant’s menu, but have a more low-key atmosphere. And we were entirely by ourselves in the bar, so it was quiet and the bartender (we feel bad that we cannot remember her name) was fantastic, and was maybe the best service we had on our entire trip. The breakfast was so up-and-down that it ultimately was a letdown. Since the actual buffet options (especially the western cuisine) were a bit limited, our experience tended to be dictated by the “specials” of the day for the al a carte menu. Some of those items were great, some were not appealing to us, so it was left to chance. The food itself was all good, but the limited selection was a miss. A few notes on the amenities. We loved the ice cream stand. The pools and beach were all great as long as you are not expecting some sprawling beachfront; that is not what this property is. The spa was relaxing and scenic, but because I had one of the best massages of my life there and also one of the worst, it is hard to recommend. This was partially because of my own miscommunication, but my second visit was poor. I’ll also note that we found blood on the toilet seat in our spa room. This was quickly cleaned and the staff were super apologetic, but it seems odd in a resort of this caliber that this would have been an issue. Additionally, the little library/rec hall was awesome. We also appreciated the relatively affordable shuttle service other areas of the island. Aside from a few flaws we really did enjoy our stay here and would consider going back, especially if they addressed a few things: • First, figure out a way to have an indoor shower. • Add more offerings to the breakfast buffet • Fully incorporate into the IHG rewards system. It is not a huge deal, but it was just weird • Add an option to get food at the main pool (the one on the hill), or make it more clear you can

We made a reservation for dinner at a restaurant. The dining area was on an upper terrace, but there was no lighting at all, making it impossible to see anything. The atmosphere was gloomy and dark, with only the sound of the wind and the unseen waves of the sea. We could barely see our table. The food was extremely overpriced since it was an outdoor dining experience, and there was no à la carte option. You could only choose from the expensive set menus they offered. We ordered just two non-alcoholic drinks and ended up paying nearly 3-4 times the market price before leaving. Besides us, there were only two other people in the restaurant—it was completely empty. So, we decided to continue our dinner in a warmer and more inviting place. It was our first and last experience there!
