From the moment we arrived at the resort, we were treated wonderfully by the staff. They took care of us at every opportunity and were always on hand to assist in any way we needed. Our room (two bedroom terrace suite) was beautiful, clean and spacious and had just about everything we could have wanted. Room service was superb, the staff were exceptional in making our stay truly special. The resort facilities were amazing, plenty to do and to keep us occupied during our stay. The pool facilities were great, clean and safe. The range of restaurants in the resort is great, in particular The View was exceptional in terms of service and quality. Overall, our stay (7 nights) was a wonderful experience. It was made all the more special by the staff who took such great care of us.

We stayed a week in an ocean front villa in March 25. While the pool villa was beautiful the rest of the resort was disappointing. The bed was ROCK hard, the most uncomfortable bed we’ve ever slept in. We had two mattress toppers and mountains of pillows but it was a nightmare. Breakfast is a free for all in a horrible room more like a cheap holiday camp. We avoided after first day and ate in our villa or off site. The staff are very friendly. Note that this is a huge resort so be prepared to wait around for golf carts whenever you want to go somewhere and when you return to the hotel. You cannot walk around the resort it’s too steep and distances too far. It has great potential but these areas need addressing. Unfortunately we won’t be returning until changes have been made.

We visit Thailand every year, and this year we came to The Ritz-Carlton to celebrate our son Ari’s first birthday – and I have to say, this hotel is on a whole different level: perfect and flawless. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and offer breathtaking views. It’s a resort with endless opportunities for enjoyment – from the pool to the spa and a huge kids’ club filled with games! The service and staff are so kind, respectful, and attentive. Without a doubt, this is the best hotel we have ever stayed in! I visited Samui for my best friend’s wedding and chose to stay at here, knowing from past travels that the Ritz always upholds its world-class standards. Yesterday morning, on my way back to my room after breakfast, one of the kindest team members (I regret not asking her name) created a moment I will never forget. She checked my room number, smiled warmly, and wished me “Happy Birthday” in Chinese — then again in English. I was completely surprised, as I had even forgotten it was my birthday! To make it even more special, this thoughtful moment was captured at the end of a video I was recording while riding the buggy back and admiring the beautiful hotel views. Walking back to my room at night was pure joy — it felt like stepping into a dream. After so many years in the concrete jungle, I had almost forgotten what it was like to be surrounded by a starry sky and the gentle chorus of insects. The summer night sky brought me back to my childhood, when gazing at countless stars above was one of life’s simplest and most precious moments. Having worked in hospitality for many years, I know that true service is not only about smooth arrivals, elegant facilities, or polite greetings. The real difference comes from people — from genuine warmth, attention to detail, and small gestures that create a deep connection. This trip was already so meaningful as I came to celebrate my best friend’s wedding, and this birthday surprise made it even more memorable. A simple “Happy Birthday” turned an ordinary morning into a memory I will always cherish. I want to sincerely thank the wonderful lady who made that moment so special, as well as the operations team behind the scenes who care so much about details and consistently deliver with heart. It is gestures like these that transform a stay into something unforgettable, and it’s the reason I will always look forward to returning.
