Hotel lobby is nice. After that felt it was all downhill. Nobody was available to collect bags at arrival in the evening. Front desk is not very nice and makes you feel uncomfortable. The pool is nice but rooms are tiny. Not family friendly at all with no elevator/ramps making it extremely difficult if you have a stroller. They charge for toothbrushes unless you call to have them send one. First time i have seen a 5 star hotel not provide that by default. Breakfast staff was not attentive nor friendly. When i asked to have some food delivered to my room they demanded i come to the lobby to get it. When the complaints were mentioned to the manager he told me thank you for the feedback and did nothing else. Even when checking out the manager was there and did not even bother to acknowledge me. If you get a really cheap rate go for it but if service matters to you in the slightest i would stay away! Do yourself the favor and go to the intercontinental

My partner and I recently stayed with Alex & his lovely team at the Twinpalms Surin Beach.
My partner and I couldn’t have been more pleased with the experience.
From start to finish, staff were attentive, friendly and welcoming. Going above and beyond to make sure our needs were met and always with a smile.
We had a minor maintenance incident in our room, at the same time my partner was also sick and needed rest and peacefulness, almost immediately we were upgraded to an incredible room at no extra cost as to ensure my partner was comfortable and so they could attend the minor maintenance issue at our previous room.
Rooms were spacious, clean and beautifully presented. With a dressing down of the room each evening.
The location is amazing, just a short walk across the road to the beach, and conveniently located to nearby restaurants, shops, convenience stores.
The resort felt every bit of luxurious as you could hope for, and the daily breakfast was a highlight.
Thank you again Alex and his incredible team of staff.
Will 100% be back and recommending to anyone that will listen!

Such a beautiful place!
We spent 5 days at this gorgeous resort and loved everything it had to offer.
Stats:
- 5 days in January 2025 (high season)
- paid fully with Hilton Points, utilizing the 5th night free, in total we spend 200k points which was a fantastic redemption value.
- diamond (or gold ) status with Hilton will also include free breakfasts
Speaking of food, breakfasts were great! We did not eat dinners or lunch at the hotel, but their breakfast buffet is exceptional. Lots of fresh fruit and fresh juices, it honestly reminded us of much more expansive and larger hotels.
The rooms were great and very comfortable! We were pleasantly surprised by how much we loved their firm mattresses! The only cons and the lack of vent/fan in the bathroom.
Notes:
- because we were there in the high season and most rooms seemed full, we did not get upgraded even with the Hilton Diamond status, but it’s not surprising as it’s not a Hilton property, just a partner. But you may have better luck!
- the traffic in Phuket became a disaster in the past several years so be sure you understand the consequences of selecting the location of your hotel. While this hotel is located very nicely in theory, no place in Phuket is easily accessible anymore. The closest big town is Bang Tao, you might as well walk 40 minutes instead of sitting in a stand-still traffic for 1.5 hours. Same applies when you want to travel to Patong, be prepared to spend 3-4 hours of your day being in car (unless of course you leave early morning and come back after midnight). The good part is that the hotel itself and the surrounding area offers enough to never leave the area at all, which what I would suggest.

For a five star property, this hotel falls below expectations.
We chose to book this hotel (5-stars) through their website as booking for 3 people can get quite confusing when booking through 3rd party websites. To our dismay, no extra bed nor amenities were set up when we arrived. We had to wait for housekeeping to bring in and set up the bed, etc. We arrived at night so there was no excuse for everything not to be ready.
Complimentary toothbrushes were also not given by default. There were 2 in the room with a price tag. It was not until I asked why we had to pay for this that the reception called and clarified that we can request for complimentary ones. Why aren’t basic amenities such as toothbrushes readily available in the room? Even 1-star properties provide this by default.
Service also falls short. Most waiting staff during breakfast were not friendly. Not once did they welcome us with a smile during the three meals we spent there. I remember only the lady at the egg station was friendly and greeting everyone with a smile.
Other good points: pool was nice, fruits during fruit hour were good, breakfast was good enough and hotel messaging app was convenient. Unfortunately, these were overshadowed by poor service.

This hotel was exceptional.
—
My wife and I traveled to Phuket with our 2 kids.
We felt very safe.
They were accommodating to our kids.
—
We had a duplex with private pool, but the basic rooms were nice as well.
—
The staff was so helpful the entire time.
—
Beach was a short 250-300m walk straight from the front of the hotel.
—-
I would 100% return.
