The Veranda Tamarin All Add In (all-inclusive) package includes the following:
- Daily breakfast (7am to 10am) served buffet style at Ye! Man restaurant
- Daily lunch (12pm to 3pm) served buffet style or table d’hôte at Ye! Man restaurant OR a Rs 400 credit per person, per day at Crazy Fish*
- Daily dinner served buffet style or table d’hôte at Ye! Man restaurant (7pm to 10pm) OR a Rs 600 credit per person, per day at at Crazy Fish (6pm to 10pm)*
- Afternoon tea, coffee and selection of Mauritian delicacies (4pm to 5pm)
- A selection of local beverages, including mineral water, tea, coffee, soft drinks, cocktails, local wines, rums and beers (served by the glass at bars 11am to 11pm, except View bar til 8pm)

I’m extremely disappointed with everything about this hotel. They have a massive issue with bugs to the point that we had bugs on our bed, cockroaches on the floor and I was welcomed with an ant in my drink! Even at dinner a massive bug fell on my plate. We transferred hotels at our own extra cost and we forgot a pair of shoes we called the same day and they mentioned they see it and will keep it safe, as it has my name on it. We stop by on the way to the airport and guess what, they couldn’t find it any where, lying to us and saying someone else had the same shoes and we gave it to them, how can you give someone else the wrong pair of shoes that had my name on it and why would they accept to take it. We wasted our time and money to get to the hotel and collect our belongings which they couldn’t seem to locate even though it was kept “safe”. HORRIBLE hotel.

I was sooo impressed by this hotel! The grounds are beautiful and peaceful and the location is fantastic. I had seen some average reviews before my stay, but after being here, I can't understand why! The staff was so friendly and welcoming. Our waiter Milos made every meal special with his friendly smile and attention.🫶🏻The food was amazing, and you could feel it was made with love and care.
The team really looked after us, and I would love to come back!

I stayed at this place from 20 to 22 October. The rooms are tiny, but very aesthetically designed. And the rooms are not kitted out for somebody who is working remotely. The staff are very professional, although I had to see them 3 times in order to get a chair to work from. I forgot a parcel in the room after checking out and a lady called Kimberly was so gracious to keep it until somebody came and collected it. The downside is the noise from the rooftop bar. I checked in on a Sunday expecting peace and quiet, but the noise from that bar till very late at night was horrible. The beach was not working or swimming beach, which was a disappointment, but I can’t blame the hotel for that so it would not be a place that I would be visiting very soon.

The room is quite good for a 3 star hotel. Cold air conditioner, hot shower and a comfortable bed. Unfortunately, we had a room with our door facing the public beach (there is a road between the hotel and the beach). On weekends, the locals play music really loudly, and sometimes pass 10pm. I understand we are guests in their home, but the hotel could perhaps do a better job sound proofing the rooms facing the beach. This doesn’t seem to be a new complaint.
The ala carte dishes were pretty good, but the buffet could be better given the price point. It seems buffet food on Mauritius is a common complaint for many hotels though. So Veranda’s not alone here.
Overall I think Veranda is a better than average 3 star hotel, but quite pricey. Perhaps it’s just the New Year’s Eve pricing?
Lastly, it’s a good beach to watch fireworks from since it’s across from the Hilton, Sofitel and Sands. The locals light up their own fireworks since sundown. I could still hear some going off the next morning!

I had the most amazing 9 days at Veranda Tamarin. I spent my 40th birthday here. I loved everything about the hotel. The staff, food and location was perfect for me as a solo traveller.
The food they serve is cooked to perfection, I am a pescatarian and I always found the options were fantastic.
Shiva, Joshua, Lucas, Nicholai, bhadish and Rolandu to name only a few of the fantastic staff here at Veranda Tamarin, they always made sure my cocktails were delicious and topped up
Always a friendly face and even friendlier smiles from all staff around the hotel.
My room was cleaned and replenished everyday, the lady was so friendly and helpful.
The rooftop pool is amazing, I spent most of my time there.
The dogs in and around the hotel always put a smile on my face, they are so friendly and everyone seemed to love them as much as me.
The beach is great and only across the road from the hotel. Thank you all for making my 40th birthday special
