The Veranda Tamarin All Add In (all-inclusive) package includes the following:
- Daily breakfast (7am to 10am) served buffet style at Ye! Man restaurant
- Daily lunch (12pm to 3pm) served buffet style or table d’hôte at Ye! Man restaurant OR a Rs 400 credit per person, per day at Crazy Fish*
- Daily dinner served buffet style or table d’hôte at Ye! Man restaurant (7pm to 10pm) OR a Rs 600 credit per person, per day at at Crazy Fish (6pm to 10pm)*
- Afternoon tea, coffee and selection of Mauritian delicacies (4pm to 5pm)
- A selection of local beverages, including mineral water, tea, coffee, soft drinks, cocktails, local wines, rums and beers (served by the glass at bars 11am to 11pm, except View bar til 8pm)
- In-room coffee and tea facilities replenished once daily

I was sooo impressed by this hotel! The grounds are beautiful and peaceful and the location is fantastic. I had seen some average reviews before my stay, but after being here, I can't understand why! The staff was so friendly and welcoming. Our waiter Milos made every meal special with his friendly smile and attention.🫶🏻The food was amazing, and you could feel it was made with love and care.
The team really looked after us, and I would love to come back!

I stayed at this place from 20 to 22 October. The rooms are tiny, but very aesthetically designed. And the rooms are not kitted out for somebody who is working remotely. The staff are very professional, although I had to see them 3 times in order to get a chair to work from. I forgot a parcel in the room after checking out and a lady called Kimberly was so gracious to keep it until somebody came and collected it. The downside is the noise from the rooftop bar. I checked in on a Sunday expecting peace and quiet, but the noise from that bar till very late at night was horrible. The beach was not working or swimming beach, which was a disappointment, but I can’t blame the hotel for that so it would not be a place that I would be visiting very soon.

Our recent trip to Mauritius turned very special with a couple of days stay at Veranda Tamarin Hotel and Spa. The hotel is right opposite a open beach. We certainly enjoyed quite a few attractions going around the hotel. Hotel Staffs were amazing especially the Kayaking activity from the hotel was so special for our entire family. Special Thanks to our Instructor Whitney who was very friendly in guiding us how to kayak safely in the Black River Mangroove forest. Thank you Veranda & Team!

Hello! Yesterday 1/10/24 we had a very weird experience in the restaurant. I really avoid writing negative reviews but I feel like it needs to be done - for the management to see what is happening in their business
We ordered 2 "Greek salad with avocado and smoked chicken" - but they arrived just as normal Greek salad, no avocado and chicken. After we called our server - he brought his supervisor/manager (not sure who he was) - named Dany. We were polite and just calmly asked if there is some mix up. But Dany was SO RUDE, this person really cannot work in restaurant service. If there is a problem - just please apologise, and fix it as quickly as you can. Instead, he made this issue much bigger, no apologies, blamed the kitchen (we, as guests, really don't care whose fault it is, we just wanted to eat our salads as per the menu description).
phrases he used, while being in very irritated mood:
"its kitchen fault"
"no need to show me the menu, i know the menu"
"we don't have avocado, maybe chicken" (hello?? the menu clearly had both ingredients listed, if the mistake is on your side- propose some way of fixing it? ideally tell us that before we make our order? we would have chosen a more consistent food if we knew about it)
"we are just workers here"
"ok fine i apologise"
he made it look like all of this was our fault
We were charged fully, no discount was proposed for this mistake. And we are not type of people who look for discounts, but in this case clearly the food we received was not as per the description on the menu, and the attitude of Dany did not help AT ALL.
Please provide proper training to this employee, as he really destroyed the image of your beautiful hotel for us. The problem was honestly not so much with the salad, but with the way Dany approached it.

The Veranda Tamarin proved an exceptional destination for our 14 night holiday. It offered a laid back style in a typical Mauritian neighbourhood, virtually on the beach, with a vibrant, almost hippy, feel. The location was excellent, as was the level of customer service and the food. The staff were friendly and could not do enough for us. The food was typically Mauritian, plentiful and freshly prepared. The all-inclusive drinks package was extensive. We particularly liked the points-per-night system that earned us excursions at no extra cost - the catamaran experience was absolutely fabulous, and included transfers and lunch. Not to mention swimming with dolphins! We noticed that staff training was on-going throughout our visit. Also, the Management team were keen to get our opinions regarding the hotel and our holiday. We will definitely return! Karen, Ken & family.
