NOT a 5 star experience. Old facilities, a public beach that is swarmed by water sports like jet skis and boats etc that pollute the hotel pool area with their toxic fumes, hotel restaurants that seem pretty dead. Feels like a hotel that’s long seen it’s best days. Oh did I mention the construction? Only 1 star for service despite the staff being nice- I asked specifically to be located somewhere close to the pool or breakfast area as I was with my 7m old baby. Instead they literally put me in the farthest room available…. 👀 not great Should be a 4 star max. Best thing about this place is the layout of the pool. Quite nice, different depths and lots of shady areas. Hotel Nikko would do good to upkeep their property, update shower heads & sinks & broken pool tiles etc. Otherwise NOT 5 stars.

Stayed here for a business trip. It's an old hotel and some parts of the hotel has been refurbished and they have managed to keep cleanliness in most of the hotel area, especially the room I stayed in. But, the gentlement toliet at the lobby needs extra attention. My room is quite spacious with a bathtub inside the bathrooms with hot water available. The restaurant served various breakfast and delicious menu, including a vast variety of fruits. The staff are very nice and helpful. When checking out, I left my jacket at the wardrobe and they quickly save it for me to pick it up later.

Hotel Nikko is a beautiful hotel with a stunning location right on the beach. The staff were so warm and kind and added special touches like my daughter's names on their deserts. From the front desk to the pool towel service, the concierge, the dining staff always so friendly offering service with a smile. The room was perfectly cleaned each day and was the perfect size for a family of four and it was only a family room but quite large. Hotel design and art decor is beautiful. But you can't beat the view when the tide is high. the locals are lovely too and offer little market stalls along the beach. The pool is beautiful and my kids barely left the pool in 5 days they had the best time and named different parts of the pool, parents of young kids please take care as the pool can get suddenly deep. But otherwise I highly recommend this hotel for a peaceful holiday to just unwind and let kids just be free to have fun! P.s highly recommend Georgios - kids gave it a 1000 star rating. Overall, everything about this hotel is absolutely fantastic… We spent two weeks here, enjoying our honeymoon, and everything was top-of-the-line! And fantastic Price as well… The swim up pool bar, the beach, the restaurants, especially the morning breakfast, the rooms, everything was absolutely fantastic! We would return in a heartbeat and we absolutely will!

The rooms are very spacious. There is also a bathtub and a sleeping cot. There are no supermarkets around and it is a bit remote, so you can relax for that reason. Marine sports, swimming pools and a private beach can be enjoyed. The private beach is about 5 minutes away by shuttle bus. The breakfast is varied and very tasty. Egg dishes and sweets are particularly recommended. The water temperature and water pressure in the showers is good. A taxi is needed to get anywhere. It takes a long time to get to your room as the hotel are large and the building is huge. There were about 10 ants on the beds. The area under the beds and on the floor needs improvement as it is not well cleaned. The fridge is not very cold.

We stayed at the Sakala Hotel in Bali for 30 days in July. The service was absolutely top-notch! The staff were incredibly warm and always tried to assist us with every request. The hotel is very well maintained, and the food is of the highest quality. The beach at the location is not suitable for swimming, as there are water sports activities taking place there. However, there is an alternative with a shuttle service to a small private beach owned by the hotel. The only downside for us was the continuous music, which made it difficult to find a quiet spot to take a phone call, work remotely, read a book, or simply enjoy some peace and quiet.

Not only were the rooms subpar, but the service was also inadequate. Despite repeatedly reporting a cold ventilation issue, the staff insisted it was centrally controlled and couldn't be adjusted. However, housekeeping consistently left the air conditioning on, despite my explicit requests to turn it off when the room was unoccupied. During my three consecutive bookings, I was dismayed by the condition of the basement room I was moved to during my final days. It was dusty, unclean, and had a musty odor. To make matters worse, the shower drainage was clogged on my last day, causing water to accumulate in the bathroom. The aging toilet was malodorous and added to the unpleasantness. Unfortunately, my stay was further marred by catching a cold that persisted for a week, likely due to the suboptimal conditions. While some staff members were friendly, others were not, and the assurances made were not fulfilled. Overall, my experience was highly unsatisfactory, and I would not recommend this hotel.

3 star hotel disguise as 5 star one. Avoid this hotel if you don't want to ruin your holiday in Bali. Housekeeping team is questionable. One day I found my room was not clean up even i turn on the clean room sign since morning. Another day I found all the room floor was wet to the point if you can easily slip. The only compensation was only late check in, and they blame the guest that setting the AC temperature too low. There's a lot of dusty corner in your room. Cleanliness is very questionable for 5 star hotel / resort. The sakala restaurant also have low quality of steak. The meat is not fresh and was not tasty at all (it doesn't deserve the 500k price, it should be only around 100k). Also it's hard to call the waitress here, you need to be angry first for them to come. TLDR: Choose another resort in the area

A Memorable Return After 7 Years I had the pleasure of returning to this hotel after seven years, and I’m happy to say that the experience was just as wonderful as I remembered. The consistency in the quality of service and the overall atmosphere is truly commendable. From the warm welcome at check-in to the cleanliness of the rooms, everything met my expectations. The staff was as courteous and attentive as ever, ensuring that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. One small suggestion for improvement would be to consider some minor repairs in a few of the rooms. While the overall experience was still great, a little touch-up in certain areas would enhance the guest experience even further. Overall, I had a fantastic stay and would gladly return again. This hotel continues to be a great choice for a relaxing and comfortable getaway. Thank you again after seven years ago:)

We had an amazing stay at Sol Beach House Bali Benoa. The room was really spacious and clean. The food was great and there was a lot of variety in the food because there are 2 a la carte restaurants and a buffet. Overall a great hotel. What really elevated the whole experience was the staff. The staff at the hotel was just incredibly kind and accommodating. They made our stay at Sol incredible! We hope to come back some day

We traveled to Bali for our honeymoon and Sol's service for our special occasion was next level. Not only were the staff incredibly friendly, helpful, and prompt, we received a congratulatory cake within minutes of checking in to our room. How sweet! The hotel itself is well kept, a great location for walking/transport, and has a beautiful ocean front space. We would definitely recommend Sol - they were exceptional!

Very disappointed!!!! 1. Staff Service: The service at this hotel was the most disappointing part of our stay. The front desk staff were unkind and unhelpful, and it was nearly impossible to get the attention of waitstaff, even when the restaurant was nearly empty. They often disappeared into the kitchen and seemed uninterested in checking on customers. 2. Food Quality: The food was extremely disappointing, to the point where local street food was far superior to what the hotel offered. The food was not fresh, especially the seafood, which had a strong odor. It felt like 90% of the meals were prepared with frozen ingredients. The meat was tough, smelled bad, and was nearly impossible to chew. 3. Cleanliness: The hotel appears old and poorly maintained. Our room smelled like sewage from the drainage pipes, and the restaurant’s cleanliness left much to be desired. Overall, the hygiene standards were far below what should be expected from a hotel with such claims. 4. Drinks: The drinks, including juices and detox options, were diluted to the point of being nearly tasteless. The fruit used was not fresh, lacking both flavor and taste. 5. Overall Experience: It’s hard to understand how this hotel has received five-star ratings. As an all-inclusive hotel, if they cannot provide good service and quality, it might be better to reconsider offering this type of package. The entire experience felt like the hotel was cutting corners, possibly due to financial difficulties, resulting in poor service and low-quality offerings.

Our first time in Bali and it has been fantastic. We stayed in a double room at SOL for a week of R and R. It was spacious and all we needed. We paid a little extra to get the all inclusive package which I recommend this allows you to dine and drink at the hotel breakfast, lunch and dinner, it also allows some activities at no extra cost. All staff were accommodating and inclusive. All with smiles and happy to help. There are a bunch of great amenities and things to do. I highly recommend staying here.

I recently stayed at this property for a few days and, overall, the experience was a mixed bag. The resort itself is nice and cozy, with well-maintained grounds and good amenities. The food served here was quite enjoyable, and I appreciated the variety and quality of the meals. The pool was a highlight, very clean and perfect for relaxing, and most of the staff were friendly and attentive. One thing also disliked was the beach access, which was average as you can see in pics —not directly beachfront. Unfortunately, my biggest disappointment was the room. Despite paying a decent amount, the view from the room was underwhelming, opening up to absolutely nothing of interest. I expected at least a partial view, but instead, it felt quite gloomy. I asked at least open view room within same category since I was traveling with a toddler which I was denied despite seeing few empty rooms. I offered to pay extra too. To add to the frustration, the receptionist who checked us in seemed indifferent, almost sadistic in her approach—definitely not the warm welcome I expected. While the rest of the staff were courteous, the room itself didn't live up to the price I paid, and the lack of a decent view really dampened the overall experience. For these reasons, I’m giving it two stars.

Rooms are good but giving too old vibe. Services are great, best with their spa promotion and huge discounts for all hotel guests. Private beach and breakfast with the beach view are great, but the foods are average with mostly western food only. Only 2-3 asian theme but not particularly Indonesian or Bali which a minus I think because sometimes you want to try local food when travel. While the hotel design itself already very Bali vibe. Will come back again for the spa 😉

Stayed at Legian Beach Hotel for 11 nights. The hotel grounds are green and well kept, lobby area is modern. Our villa was located just behind the reception and we were surprised how quite it was bearing in mind that beach was only a few min walk away (save for fireworks on the beach - could hear these form everywhere). Pool of a very decent size - great for swimming. Staff from room attendants to waiters & security very friendly and attentive. They definitely get 5 out of 5. Breakfast buffet had very good selection of Indonesian and European foods incl. pancakes, eggs & bacon, baked beans. Can`t fault it. Tepanyaki restaurant - great show, but in my opinion a bit overpriced at 899k menu per person for a middle choice + drinks on top. Overall, restaurant prices significantly higher than what one would pay just outside the hotel on the strip. Room service also overpriced and not worth it - burger tasted like the one from the pack with pizza definitely being cooked from frozen. Would not recommend dining here as better choices at better prices available just around the corner. Room (garden villa) however did let the hotel down. Had ants and dated decor. Would benefit from upgrading.

What an amazing place, the serene gardens, and just happy atmosphere this place possesses is so special. The food and the people are just so lovely and kind to me and my partner staying here, made leaving the place sad I think the only down side was the noise of the busy streets but what you can you expect from the tourists of bali up at night. The special nights(Fire dances and floral dances)are an experience you can’t forget Highly recommended for family and partners.

Great location, close to many popular bars and restaurants and shopping. Has an adults pool and a pool for children and adults with an area and staff to entertain the children. Buffet breakfast is great and caters those who want gulten free. Only one complaint, the beds are very hard.

Initially we booked a connecting room, and we didn't like the look and location of the room. Upgraded to a double bedroom suite with balcony and the room was possibly the best room I've ever stayed in. Location of hotel is great. Breakfast is well above standard, possibly one of the best breakfast offerings ever. Great options for kids. Facilities are great. Pool is awesome. The sister family hotel is a 2min walk and is great for kids with the splash park and water slides. Service from all staff was great.

We have stayed here twice. The main building is suited to adults while the Family Paradise caters for parents with children. Our family met between Australia and Japan. Facilities are excellent. An infinity pool for adults only, a large pool for swimming, paddling, volleyball and water aerobics and a pool with water slide for children. Breakfasts are outstanding. We chose all inclusive so tried all the restaurants (all very good), enjoyed beverage service, laundry service and evening entertainment. There were weekly cooking classes and other offerings. The hotel location is perfect - not far from the airport, by the beach, ideal for marine activities. Staff are exceptional. Mandie (who expertly cleaned my room every day) left animal towelling arrangements, Della was an exceptional member of the amazing catering staff. Thoroughly recommended.

We had nothing but good to say about this place. Booked this for work event and stayed for 6 days. Their package is reasonable priced and the hotel contact has been communicative. All the amenities and restaurants are right on spot and really can tell it’s well considered from a user perspective. Kids always have stuff to do. Also the maintenance is amazing. I always see people cleaning around the hotel. Staff were extremely friendly. They might not have the best English but they try to talk to you and treat their job seriously. There was a night we broke a glass on the floor and the staff came very quickly and even use their phone to shine the floor during clean to make sure they don’t miss a spot. I really look forward to stay there again.

The rooms are spacious but they need a revamp. The beds were squeaking and the wooden floors were uneven. Additionally, we discovered a few roaches in the bathroom. The hot water in the shower took 20 minutes to warm up so we had to be really patient and witness the water wastage. The staff are polite but the waiter in one of the beach restaurants seemed tired, uninterested in serving or even suggesting any dishes. On the contrary, this resort is perfect for families, strategically located with great pools and activities for every age group. The gym and recreational area is good enough. The breakfast menu was almost similar therefore it became monotonous after 3 days. I'm sure you'll find it worth staying if you love spending quality time in the resort.

Do not book this resort!! I booked with my family at the 5 star resort months ago. When i check in on the day they move me to the 4 star (as per google) "family wing" hotel which is probably more a 3 star without any notice. I booked through the 5 star hotel but ended up with the 4 star. I was charged the 5 star price aswell. The hotel admit this is common practice and when people find out - there are not happy.They do not disclose this information on the website and when they provide booking confirmation. I left the resort on the same day and they refuse you cancel the booking due to last minute cancellation. Save yourself the trouble, betrayal and false advertising drama. Do not book.

Fabulous resort. Staff are friendly and helpful, all the little details are considered. The spa is especially excellent, would recommend the summer rejuvenation package. Only issue was the main pool and loungers were always packed with families (possibly due to spring break), I found the beach more relaxing.

Great Yoga session by Sumiyasa this morning. Amazing view for the session - see photo. Overall hotel is amazing and service is good. Good rooms, great location. Buffet breakfast is good. Swimming pool is a bit small and we were asked to keep the kids quiet on the first day but others days were fine. I am guessing one of the adult only resort seekers may have suggested... Having said so, we are have an amazing time including time in the pool. I will come again if we get a similar deal.

A short walk from our hotel, this spa offered tremendous service. My partner and I had a couples massage, and were offered various options over tea. The entire venue was spotless, and radiated with a tranquil atmosphere. Ayu and Inda Took care of us, and made us feel comfortable, regularly checking in to see if we were comfortable or whether they should adjust the pressure they applied. Would definitely visit again.

Very nice hotel. Very lush vegetation. Very friendly staff. Sunistra was great, he checked up on me everyday at breakfast, very attentive. Beware, the spa is a long walk and lots of stairs, not convenient for the disabled. Did a yoga class in the morning. My friend did could do all the poses and loved it. We did not love the good here. Breakfast did have lots of choices. 3 small pools. Traditional dancing every night and shuttle to downtown. You do still have to walk 20 min to the shops after they drop you off. It was a nice stay

Amazing location and great breakfast, but that’s almost about it. We have been here in 2023 and really looked forward to staying again, but the current service is far below what we expected: service is slow and forgot multiple orders (repeatedly), the butler service is basically useless (doesn’t even deliver promised water to the villa), and the „best spa in town“ is good, but really nothing special - especially for a price where one can get better in Singapore. Location is still amazing, but the rest sadly quite disappointing

The resort is so wonderful, and the staff is so friendly! I ate wine and tuna steak while watching the performance at the restaurant on the 1st floor, but it's not very expensive and the atmosphere is so nice. Riesling is delicious. I definitely recommend having dinner here! Yoga, dalam, parka are so kind for caring and having fun talking while eating!! And I also really appreciated the unnamed employee who caught me with the big bee in my room. Bali is love..🤍

Maya Ubud Resort & Spa, located in Peliatan, is a 5-star luxury resort designed to inspire the spirit of a traditional Balinese village. It is comfortably situated amidst 10 hectares of tropical landscape. The rooms are spacious and comfortable for two, the amenities are excellent, and the staff is attentive and highly professional. The swimming area near the river is my favorite spot, where every moment is filled with peace and quiet. Nestled amidst lush greenery and tranquil landscapes, this resort offers a perfect blend of nature and spirituality. It’s magical!

I really wanted to give this hotel a higher rating, but after some thought, this is the best I can do. My family opted for the all-inclusive package and tried to experience everything the resort had to offer. The kids loved the Kids Club—no complaints there. My wife and I made use of the sporting facilities, including the squash courts (which are air-conditioned but have a deteriorating floor), tennis courts, and bikes for rides along the beach path. However, the entire resort feels quite outdated, nowhere near a five-star standard. They are planning renovations soon, so I would suggest waiting to book until after those are complete. We’ve visited Bali before and know how to be cautious with the water, but despite being careful, both my wife and I got Bali belly at different times. After considering all the factors, we believe it came from the drinks, which was quite frustrating. There’s essentially only one pool everyone can use unless you’ve booked one of the exclusive ones, which limits the experience. Room service food was subpar compared to other resorts we’ve stayed at on the island. Some of the restaurants, like the Japanese one, were exceptional—truly top-tier—but others, like El Patio, were lacking in quality. One big issue was the pool chairs. There’s a rule that towels left unattended will be removed, but it’s not enforced. We found the same guests claiming the best spots every morning, leaving their belongings there for hours without showing up. Enforcing this rule would really help others enjoy those prime spots closer to the pool. The buzzers for ordering food or drinks by the pool rarely worked, although the staff, when they did come by, were always friendly and helpful. The YHI Spa is easily a five-star experience—my wife and I both had multiple massages, and each one was fantastic. The rooms are in desperate need of renovation. The bathrooms are dated, with poor water pressure and small, outdated shower heads. It just doesn't feel like a five-star resort in this condition. On a positive note, the gardens are beautifully maintained and a pleasure to walk through. In summary, while there were some high points, especially the spa and some of the restaurants, the resort is currently not at the five-star level it claims to be. I’d recommend waiting until after the renovation to see if it improves.

My husband and I came here as our first hotel on our honeymoon. We did the all inclusive and it was nice to not limit ourselves because they also offer non all inclusive. We stayed in a regular room, which was good with us because we didn’t spend much time in the room. The rooms definitely need to be updated, as they are doing renovations from my understanding soon, so that’s good they acknowledge that! I am gluten free and they had a lot of food options if you asked! They have gluten free bread, pasta and pizza! Also the coffee shop on site has gluten free pastries which was included in the all inclusive. Everyone there was great and very friendly. We also enjoyed the spa the day after we got there after our long flight and it was wonderful. The resort is pretty kid focused but the kids never bothered us. We were only there for a few nights which we thought was more than enough and wish the breakfast varied a little more day to day, but the juices at breakfast were always top notch & it was nice to have an egg station. They do not mark allergens on the buffet, which would have been a huge help to me, but I just ate what I knew I could. Overall, it was great for relaxing as a first stop on our honeymoon but I don’t think we would have wanted to stay there longer than 4 nights!

Room was nice. Had a swim up suite. Pool water was nice and clean. Rooms were a little noisy from neighbors. Service was excellent everywhere on property. Not much else to say. Location could have been better. We rented bikes and got to see some of the beaches at other nearby resorts. From the sand to the water seemed much better than what Malia offers. If you are coming for the beach it was disappointing. Other complaints include seemingly limited alcohol selections for The Level package we selected. The better name brand alcohol cost more so it wasn't included. Ran out of sake for us at the Japanese restaurant. Didn't have any more mascal at Sorento. Just little things like that added up. Overall liked the hotel, but for the money it could have been better.

The hotel was old but well maintained. Beautiful green view around the hotel area. The staff was very good in helping the guests in all areas. We stayed for 3 nights and didn't have a chance to sit around the pool area as always. We took the all inclusive packages and it was the best decision, we enjoyed our breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks no limit including mini bar and room service. We feel that they spoiled the quest with this package offer so guests can have the best experience staying at the hotel. The cocktail range that included on the package is OK but all the food from every restaurant is good. We love our daily jamu drinks too. We definitely will come back again next time.
