I am not typically one to write negative reviews, however I was disappointed in our stay at Chaba Cabana. My boyfriend & I traveled all over Thailand for 3+ weeks and were both looking forward to finishing our long trip by spending time on the beach in Koh Samui before flying home. The resort advertises a private beach… which is not at all the case. The ocean comes right up to the property wall so there is no sand to lounge or walk on like in the photos advertised on the website. We had to travel off of the advertised “beach resort” every day to enjoy the beach!
I will note that our room was very clean and the staff at reception were kind and helpful. However, the staff in the restaurant and by the pool all seemed to be miserable, no one smiling or happy to assist you. Everything we asked for seemed like an inconvenience to them.
We will not be staying here again, & advise others to stay at a beach resort further down Chaweng if you actually want to be on a beach, not just at an oceanfront property.

It’s not worth the money! You are not allowed to sit somewhere except your room and have beer or drinks what you did not buy for double price from them!!! If the see is high level you are not allowed to go to the see. There is no enough sun beds and everyone putting towels from ye night and you don’t have any chance to get one. The restaurant and the food the realy bad and everyday the same!! Staff dose not understand English except in the reception!
Room was ok and the air conditioning was amazing. The only good thing was the air conditioning!

The staff are AMAZING! The best hospitality I’ve received in all my years of travelling!
The rooms are very big, spacious, excellent storage spaces & very clean.
This hotel is 5 minutes from the airport, 20 mins from Samui central / Chaweng market. The location is perfect. Beaches & night life in walking distance.
The breakfast & food selection was 10/10, there is something for everyone!
The staff here are so amazing! Very friendly & helpful.

We stayed 5 nights here and enjoyed it. The staff, service and grounds are wonderful and professional. The included breakfast is quite good. Our only issue is that the hotel is a bit out of the way and walking to a nearby store for drinks or snacks is not really feasible. The views and sunsets are superb. If there was a 7/11 on the corner above the hotel, it would be fantastic and straight 5’s. Bring snacks!!

We had the pleasure of staying at this amazing hotel for 17 days, and what an experience it has been! The service was absolutely outstanding, with humble, helpful, and friendly staff who truly made our stay unforgettable. Our room in the “Luxury Building” was both beautiful and fresh, and it became like a home to us during our holiday.
The hotel was a bit out of the way, which might suit some travelers.
