I have no words to describe how amazing this place is. The best thing is the staff. They were always so nice to us. Not only polite but genuinely engage with you during your time there. They were moving fast and always with a positive attitude. The food is really good. The beach is incredible. I really enjoyed my room. It was huge and comfortable. Love it. Would recommend. 10/10

If you are into resorts then this is probably a great place to go, if not, then like me you will be in for a shocker. Its quite a big area but you can use their bikes or get one of their golf cart shuttles to take you around. The food at the restaurants was mediocre at best and I would recommend getting food outside of the hotel. Also there are groups of raccoons on the premises who run around crawling into the rubbish bins and apparently can also get into your room if you forget to lock the door. The staff whoever were very nice and welcoming.

I will start by saying: take all reviews with a grain of salt, note the timing of your trip (busy season or not), and if you're doing all inclusive or not. I read some of these recent negative reviews a day before coming and was super worried. I'm happy to report I had the complete opposite experience as these negative reviewers. We came early December with a toddler, not all inclusive. The hotel and property is beautiful! Everything is so well kept. We had a lagoon room at first which was fine but then upgraded to a beach view to be closer to the pool area we most frequented. It was so lovely. Beach is gorgeous and pool was perfect for our 4yr old, who ate for free everywhere. I was super worried about food based on some reviews but we had such amazing dinners. Breakfast buffet every morning was lovely with so many options to choose from really can't disappoint. Dinner was great in all places and got better each night: tinta del pulpo (was also the lunch spot by the pool, excellent tacos and guac), casa amate which was higher quality, and sotavento by the beach with amazing grilled meat and fish. One of the reviewers mentioned not eating fish which I also don't and I never had any issues finding meat or veggie options. We chose to dine at Rosewood hotel nearby for our last night which was also superb. Golf carts were plentiful. Never waited more than 2minutes and if anyone was driving by and saw us they'd take us. No idea how this person reviewed 30min wait, just not credible. There was a wedding one night we were there but never had issues with crowds or waiting or noise. The only reason I'm doing 4 stars for service because on a few occasions we had to call front desk and ask for the same thing more than once. Probably the only "complaint" I'd have but they'd rectify immediately and otherwise staff was super friendly and helpful. It was the perfect beach vacation with our kid, he even made other friends at the pool which was nice. We only used the kids club for an hour when it rained but we know other parents who used it for longer and their kids enjoyed. All in all awesome trip and definitely considering going back again. So so happy the negative reviews were wrong!

Awesome setting, we had a little trouble with a loud DJ at the beach by our room but the concierge staff and manager handled it quickly and professionally. The lagoon tour was free and cool. Saw an American crocodile, tarpon, and all the birds. The cenote on the nature trail is a fun little tour too. Nice calm nature vibe except for that party. Getting from the lagoon area to the beach on the bicycles is calm and simple. Staff was helpful and kind.

Huge disappointment. It used to be a great place but recent visit was awful. Service was poor due to understaffing and lack of training. It was hard to communicate with staff. Resort facility needs great amount of maintenance - beach parasols have holes, beach beds are soggy and have molds here and there, room key readers are attached to doors with scotch tapes. Towels are not available throughout the afternoon. Pool side food requires 1 hour wait time. Cart comes every 30-40 minutes (which used to be every 5-10 min). Heard management has changed and due to newly opened resorts nearby, many trained staff left. Explains a lot why this is not a same place anymore. Strongly NOT Recommended. Don’t waste your money and time.
