We had a decent stay here in unfortunately relatively poor weather but I would say there are a few areas for improvement from the hotel's perspective. There are nowhere near enough sun beds on what is quite a small perch by the pool area. There were always people waiting to get a sunbed as this is a large hotel. The location of the perch also means that you can only sunbathe past noon as the hotel structure blocks the morning sun. The pool is also inside which is quite a strange set up for a hotel based in a hot climate. Generally we found that you are better off heading to the beach. The location of the hotel is also is near some noisy nightclubs and we found the soundproofing so inadequate that we could not get to sleep on either of the Saturday nights - so remember your ear plugs! The staff were quite dismissive of this issue which was frustrating but otherwise we did find the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The spa facilities are great, which was a real asset in poor weather, and the rooms with the sea view were lovely. The buffet food was also nice.

The Gran is 17 stories high.Fantastic views over the bay and town. Be mindful that the hotel is not designed for sunbed holidays. It does however have a few sunbeds and a small indoor heated* pool. The food and service is excellent. Rooms are cleaned everyday. Receptionists are very helpful. 17th floor is a dedicated restaurant,open to the public. Excellent food ,not expensive. Service though is annoyingly slow....not an issue while on holiday. Would recommend if you want to use as a base to explore .Not a sunbathing holiday as such.

Currently staying at this hotel and having a wonderful experience. Initially I couldn't check in early and there was no movement on the 3pm check in which was unfortunate considering I was hot and sweating after a long trip but the hotel did look after my luggage. The 2nd floor bar is brilliant, lovely vibe, incredible views and during my stay incredibly quiet allowing me to relax. Special mention to bartender Christian who gave amazing service and incredibly friendly and professional, really made my holiday! Could do with more space on the balcony with sunbeds but that can't be helped on a high rise hotel. Amazing food! An incredible buffet and the staff are incredible. Special mention to Jessica who really went above and beyond. Could do with a bigger selection of drinks in the buffet area such as rums, gins etc. Overall an incredible experience definitely recommend

We stayed before Xmas to get some winter sun, unfortunately it was cold and windy , not the fault of hotel . However , we had no sleep for two nights due to a local night club or from the hotel. I complained at 2.30 in the morning, but was ignored by hotel porter /manager , which was on our first night, happened again night before we left . Don’t expect such noise in our room from a 5 star hotel . Staff excellent ( apart from night porter ) , food and room very good . On the one day there was sun , not enough sun beds. Sauna facilities very good and location on coast excellent , but serious problem with night noise on some nights that hotel denies.

Amazing hotel with spectacular views. Staff here are lovely. Martina on Reception is amazing and really goes the extra mile to ensure a wonderful stay. Jenni in Blue 17 is a lovely lady and always has a friendly smile.
