Just needed a place to stay for one night and it happened to land on the EDC weekend so when booking a few months in advance almost everywhere was sold out but this location was available. A lot of these reviews are very harsh, and while I wouldn't say this is a luxury resort, it certainly isn't a budget resort either. Check in staff was friendly and the room was clean and large, even oddly large considering the amount of rooms at this property. We were in tower two, and if you have someone scared of heights I would suggest not being on a high floor, the inner railing can be a little intimidating for those with height aversion. Beds were decent with clean sheets, and the bathroom, while small, was serviceable. Our room had a fridge and microwave, both worked great. The pool looked like a good time but we didn't have the time to use it. Stay here with reasonable expectations and I bet you'll have a good time. We had no issues.

RUINED MY HONEYMOON! We chose Avanti Palms due to its close proximity to the parks and because the photos online made it look absolutely beautiful. To start when we made it to our hotel for our 6 night stay we were informed that there is a non refundable resort fee for every night of the stay, which is fine, but we should have been informed when we paid for our room 4 months ago. The hotel is NOTHING like it looks online. We got to our room which seemed fine, but by morning 1 we were already having issues. EVERY single morning we have woken up to literal saws going off in the hall and our neighbors alarm being so loud we hear it through the incredibly thin walls. This is our honeymoon and we haven’t got to sleep in even once. Next, this is 5 days in and our bed linens have never been changed and the trash was just taken for the first time yesterday. The water in the shower takes 15 minutes to warm up and not even half way on it gets so hot it’ll burn you and once it’s warm you can’t turn it down. Room service doesn’t answer the phone, the front office doesn’t answer the phone, and management is never here.

I recently stayed at this hotel for 4 nights while visiting Universal. I booked the hotel through Universal vacations, and was told that there would be a resort fee upon arrival. I had a Tower King Room on the 6th floor that was recently renovated. My room was clean, a/c unit worked, bed was comfy, and had a great view of Volcano Bay. I do however have a couple complaints. First off, my Shower head was loose and had little to no water pressure, and the knob to turn water on was loose. The water was instantly scolding hot and took awhile to cool it down. Secondly, the bathroom door had rust around the frame, the new LED light had cracks in the ceiling around it from the old one I assume. Third, since I've checked out and returned home, I keep receiving notifications from my credit card company that the Avanti Palms keeps adding charges to my account. The original resort fee I paid is confirmed, I don't see my $50 deposit on hold anymore, I hope that means I got it back. Now I see another resort fee charge and a miscellaneous charge that I never swiped my card or gave them permission to use! I can't ever get ahold of the front desk or accounting. When you try and leave a message, it then proceeds to hang up the call. I had a comfortable and almost clean stay, but I WILL NOT be returning to this hotel because of the shady charges and phones not being answered. Horrible customer service!

You get what you pay for. Check in took forever. The rooms look nice at first glance. Beds are ok. The widows don't block out the highway sounds. The room was huge. The staff is super friendly. The location was good. It was not a terrible experience but it wasn't great.

This this year, my team and I had our Tax conference at the location. I am absolutely amazed at the excellent service and professionalism of the location. The conference room was clean. Everything was in place. The staff were incredibly helpful. Nicole and Katie really made planning our conference a breeze 10 out of 10 recommend!!!
