This was our second time to stay at Bahia Principe Grand Tulum (December 2023 and March 2025) and we all had a great time once again and are so glad that we went back. The staff were welcoming, helpful, and super friendly. They all make sure that the resort looks beautiful and it is indeed a lovely resort to stay and explore. The food/drinks were excellent at both buffet and a la carte restaurants. At the buffet, they have a great variety of food and lots of seafood/fish options as well. There are three pools throughout the resort and we enjoyed going snorkeling at the beach too. Our 6-year-old daughter had fun at the Kid's Club! They have different activities from morning to late afternoon through which kids can interact and make friends with other kids from different countries. They also have a performance night on stage in which any kids can participate, super cute! All the staff at the Kids' Club is so nice and accommodating and this was one of the main reasons why we decided to go back. Location wise, it's a bit far from the airport (1.5 hours with no stop/traffic), but as long as you arrange a private shuttle service in advance, it's fine. We are already looking forward to going back and make more great memories!

My husband and I are staying for a week with a group of friends, and this place does not disappoint. The first thing to mention is the staff, they are so incredibly friendly and fun, and really made this a great experience. The second thing is the actual resort itself. It's very clean, the beaches and pools are wonderful, with some more private areas. Other areas are more lively, with sports and music. We played beach volleyball everyday and had a blast. The rooms are very nice, with cool A/C as soon as you walk in. The setup with the bathrooms are a bit strange but nothing to complain about. The food at every single restaurant has been amazing. I have a severe gluten allergy, and I didn't have a single problem at the restaurants (the food is SO good) or at the buffet. One recommendation for someone with allergies would be to maybe have a walk-through of the buffet the first night, as this can be overwhelming when you're not sure what you can eat. But by day two I had it figured out and ate delicious foods every day. The drinks are really good, the coffee bar is top notch, and the nightly entertainment was also an amazing bonus. Would highly recommend to everyone!

Great value resort along the Mayan Riviera coast. 4 adjoining properties, all belonging to Bahia Principe. 2 considered Grand level and 2 Luxury. Depending on status, guests can either go between properties with their arm band or buy an additional arm band to do so. Many large buffets with great selection but mediocre food quality (as can be expected of any buffet). Being all inclusive, there are many bars to order drinks quickly and easily, although quality of mixed drinks varied greatly. Some bartenders prepared excellent drinks (our go-to was the ‘skinny-margarita’) and others made concoctions that tasted nothing like what we ordered and were discarded. Rooms were okay, but after pressure in shower was low, but overall we slept well and enjoyed our stay. For a lower priced property, I found it good value and we plan to return.

The wife and I visited on Valentine's Day and stayed here for 4 nights. We both had a great time from start to finish. Luckily, we had a nice room with everything working and were very close to everything in the resort. Literally steps away from the buffet and the pools. Our drive from Tulum airport was only 1 hour, depends on the time though.
We had no complaints with the food at the buffet. For breakfast, it can get very busy between 9-10am. I recommend going either before 9am or after 10am. Don Pablo Restaurant was fantastic! We were able to get dinner reservations for both Saturday and Sunday and the food was delicious both nights. The food truck was open late, however every time we went, the tacos were out of stock!
All the bartenders were great at making drinks, but the service was a tad bit slow due to only one bartender working at most of the bars. I preferred getting drinks from the sports/lobby bar. (An Old Fashioned and Espresso Martini are the way to go here)
Room service was great and quick. Through the app, I would request the room to be cleaned in the morning and head out to grab breakfast at the buffet. By the time we would return back to the room about 30min - 1hour later, the room would already be done.
Entertainment was entertaining for the most part. They held good shows outside by the pool and at the theatre. If you want to stay out later, there's a DJ with dancing near the Casino/Vendor area.
Overall, we both enjoyed our stay here. It was a great trip to get away from the winter weather and to simply just relax.
Bring tips! These workers rely on them and work their butts off.

Wonderful vacation right by the beach and surrounded by beautiful landscaping, and the animals and birds that live there. Variety of entertainment and food to enjoy and the buffet was excellent. Service from everyone working there was exceptional - always friendly, willing to help above and beyond. After a day of activities, it was nice and comforting to return to our tidy clean room. Great place for adults only and families. Wheelchair friendly, walkable and there are trolleys to take you around the resort.
