I visited only for the special Tuesday night "Bedouin Party" hoping for a memorable experience but turned out to be a major disappointment. The buffet offered a variety of generally good quality food and service was excellent. But the promised entertainment was a letdown. The show took place on the stage outdoors while food and everyone was sitting inside. It was very awkward especially with the artists performing to empty outdoor tables. The show was advertised as a 4-hour program (6:30–10:30), the actual show lasted only about 40 minutes, featuring two acts - a belly dance and a Tanoura skirt dance. By 8:30, I asked the staff if there were additional performances, like a fire show, as suggested in the promotion. They informed me there wouldn’t be any more live acts, only recorded oriental music for the rest of the evening. When I asked why the promised four hours of entertainment wasn’t delivered, they explained that they had to cut the show short and skip acts because of the cold/windy weather. I expressed my disappointment and asked for the check. Despite the incomplete experience, they charged the full price. While I could have argued for a discount, I chose not to. Overall, the evening was poorly organized, and the advertised entertainment was misleading. Note that the hotel itself looked nice and the staff were generally helpful. I would give it another chance when back in El Gouna.

Casa Cook in El Gouna more than convinced us for a week in terms of service, food & all imaginable amenities. We had booked a standard room with sea view. Unfortunately, our toilet flush was faulty. After the third attempt by a technician failed to fix it, we were upgraded to a junior suite. That was more than obliging. The hotel has a buffet in the morning with western, but also Egyptian and other oriental dishes. Fatma conjures up every egg to order. Dinner is a 3-course menu with a choice of meat/fish or vegetarian. The food was wonderful and delighted us every evening. There was also a seafood BBQ or a Bedouin night on selected evenings. The service of the entire staff was more than excellent. The waiters were very courteous and housekeeping was always ready to fulfil any request. You could get free water or sparkling water in the entire complex. The overall concept of the hotel was very much geared towards sustainability and minimalism, which we really liked. We will definitely be back and can only recommend a stay.

We spend 5 days at Casa Cook El Gouna and it is was one of the best vacations we had. The place is an oasis and perfect from top to tail. The rooms are amazing, clean an in modern earthy style. We stayed at a stunningly beautiful Suite with private pool. We never experienced such kind and welcoming service, from the arrival down to the restaurant. Extraordinary food, service via WhatsApp, a great app that allowed to engage in low touch if wanted. Thank you team Casa Cook El Gouna for such an incredible experience. We will be back soon.
