    Breakfast buffet at La Citronnelle, continental breakfast at Deer Hunter, continental takeaway breakfast (24 hours’ notice required), or in-villa continental breakfast available for villa guests only
  • Buffet lunch at Lakaze, special lunch menu at Deer Hunter, selected dishes at Le Swing, MUR 550 credit per person, per day in any other a la carte restaurant or lunch pack (cold pack – 24 hours’ noticed required)

WARM HOSPITALITY & AN UNFORGETTABLE BIRTHDAY EXPERIENCE We stayed at Constance Belle Mare Plage (26th - 28th September 2025) to celebrate my partner’s birthday, and it was wonderful from start to finish! Mr. Richard welcomed us at the gate and made us feel like VIPs. At the front desk, Mr. Munish and his team were very friendly, warm and helpful (sorry, we couldn’t remember everyone’s names). Our Junior Suite was spacious with a beautiful view of the pool and the sea. A big thank you to Malini and her team for the romantic turndown on our first night, it was such a nice touch. The hotel is huge and offers great facilities. One of the pools is heated to 26–28°C, perfect for winter. The gym is excellent, with free weights and machines, and the spa is very relaxing with sauna, hammam, and Jacuzzi (although sauna wasn’t working during our stay). There are lots of activities like glass-bottom boat rides, pedalo, mini golf, and table tennis. The food was very good, with a wide buffet selection. Special thanks to Asha at the main restaurant for her friendly service. My partner was also suprised with a lovely birthday cake - it was a sweet and thoughful gesture. One thing to improve: allergy awareness in restaurants. I’m lactose intolerant and mentioned it at booking and check-in, but the staff didn’t seem aware, and allergen info wasn’t available at the buffet. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and we’ll definitely be back! - Avinash & Christel

We recently stayed at Constance Belle Mare and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. We were on half board, and everything was top-notch… food, service, atmosphere. Our room was large, beautifully designed, filled with natural light. The staff throughout the hotel were mostly warm, smiling, and attentive. The only thing that left a bit to be desired was our arrival experience. After three long flights (Vancouver → Montreal → Paris → Mauritius), we arrived early in the morning and were hoping to have access to the breakfast buffet while waiting for check-in. Unfortunately, we were told that we didn’t have access to the buffet unless we paid extra. On previous trips to Mauritius, at hotels of similar standing (for instance, Shandrani Beachcomber), we were graciously offered complimentary access to the breakfast buffet upon early arrival. It’s a very small gesture but one that makes a big difference after 30 hours of travel. That being said, I have to mention this: a very kind customer agent eventually brought us croissants and coffee because they needed us to move to a different spot to make place for other arriving clients. We deeply appreciated the gesture here. But still, considering the amount of food that typically goes to waste in large resorts, offering early-arriving guests buffet access would be such a thoughtful touch. It would align perfectly with the hotel’s otherwise excellent service standards. Overall, a wonderful stay in every other respect. We would definitely consider returning.

Constance is constance. Very good as usual. Design and rooms. Buffet is very good, breakfast are quite good. Lots of hungry homeless dogs, cats, ducks asking for food, but cute. Lots of birds waking you up to sunrise. and visiting your balcony. Different zones for silence and for children. Service was weird sometimes, e.g. It was a challenge to reserve a trip and it was full of misinformation. But all others was good. Very cheap golf tee time and rent in Legend just walking few minutes. The Ocean is good, calm and clean. You can walk endlessly both sides.

This is not a 5-star hotel — it’s a 3-star property at best. The rooms are small, with a constant smell of sewage. The building is clearly not maintained — cracked walls, broken handles, and visible neglect everywhere. The staff appear overworked, anxious, and poorly dressed, with uniforms that don’t fit properly. It’s obvious that management is cutting costs on everything — no hand lotion or basic room amenities, no water to rinse sand off your legs after coming from the beach, and a general sense that every corner has been trimmed to save money. The beach is poorly maintained, full of seaweed, and looks nothing like the pictures. All water activities and dinner reservations were "fully booked", leaving guests with very few most expensive options. At check-in, staff asked about food allergies and dietary needs. We carefully listed them and even spoke to the chef personally. They lied about being able to accommodate, then served the wrong food — the person with allergies ended up eating plain rice, which they charged $55 for. I also developed allergic reactions, which only happen when food contains high levels of preservatives, confirming the poor quality of ingredients. The corridors look like military barracks, with peeling paint and thin walls where you can hear every person walking by. If you are an English-speaking guest, expect to be treated as secondary — you’ll often be ignored, left waiting for coffee or water, and staff will visibly avoid interaction. Overall, this hotel feels misrepresented, mismanaged, and massively overpriced. Nothing about it deserves a 5-star rating. Don’t believe the glowing online reviews — they are most likely fake. I wanted to leave the minute I walked in.

My family and I had a truly exceptional stay last weekend. The resort’s stunning beachfront, luxurious rooms, and excellent dining made it an unforgettable experience. What stood out most was the remarkable service from the staff. A huge thanks to the front desk, housekeeping and restaurant teams, every member went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed and cared for. Also, a special thanks to Priya and Kavita of the housekeeping team for their dedication and warm hospitality, which added a personal touch to our stay.
