Was quite a good stay and most of the personal was great with a smile. But the lack of animation make it quite disappointing. I want to Add point outside requested a late check out and even though I understand that the hotel can be fully book and cannot accept same, I was told no no you cannot very rudely. And in addition I waited for 45minutes for a dine in room while I order for noon it cane after 45minutes and that was an order for my 2.5yr daughter. For a 5star hotel this is a real poor service.

This place is an absolute paradise. We spent a lovely weekend there. Customer service was excellent. The staffs were very friendly and they made sure our stay was comfortable. Food was amazing. The room was beautiful, spacious and all necessary amenities were provided. Thank you for the complimentary birthday cake and for making our stay a wonderful one. 🥰😊

Amazing hotel! We got upgraded into a massive beach suite with jacuzzi bath and TV, outdoor shower & plunge pool it was so beautiful with direct access to the beach. The hotel has a airy feel with the high thacted roof and no walls. The restaurant has a wide variety of good food for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Fabulous stay! The place is very calm, beautiful and relaxing. Rooms are clean, spacious and well designed. Although the variety of delicacies needs more diversity, food - particularly the dessert - was delicious. Hospitality is top notch- Special mention to Mr. Raj, who made sure our stay was special. His gestures and efforts will always remain a part of our memories of Mauritius. Anastasia (pardon the spelling) from dining made honest efforts to present the best veg options available for the day. Kudos to the lovely gesture by Chef Vikram having prepared cheese cake at breakfast at a very short notice on our last day of stay after knowing about our prior day experience during our conversation(we had ask for him to thank him for the taste we experienced during our stay). All the smiling faces and greetings makes you feel welcomed in an unknown country and give a feeling of belonging. Thank you SO Sofitel for providing us a pleasant, comfortable and secure stay.

The staff were lovely. The food was very good. The scenery was beautiful but the bedrooms are tired and dated. The outside bath no longer looks good and it is not private as advertised as there is a path opposite. Fortunately the shower was hot and the bed very comfortable. This place needs a great deal of money spent on it to make this 5*. The plastic sheeting as a wind protection in La Plage needs to go and bifold doors or patio doors or see through roller blinds,as many people thought it to be old and tired. This actually spoilt any view. I'm afraid I wouldn't return as it doesn't compare to other 5* hotels I've stayed in. All the other guests, as well as myself couldn't understand the silly green bed surrounds. They prevent you getting into bed as they move. They need to go and replaced with bedside tables. That would help the appearance of the bedrooms as nobody likes them. All the other guests that I spoke to said they were upset at the lack of interesting entertainment. The lack of a dance floor. Nobody wanted a disco. Many guests said they felt the photos advertised showed the resort in the best possible light. The swimming pool is a joke. Three people in there is too many. The staff, the bed, the shower, the scenery , and the food were a saving grace. I think if this wasn't the case you would have had a number of complaints. I have been completely honest. Please remove the silly bed surrounds and put bedside tables. This was a talking point with all the other guests I spoke to. I have been totally honest and feel upset to be so frank when all the staff and management were super helpful,professional and kind.
