First I went to say I am currently at the hotel. Front desk was nice and check in was easy. Got to the room. It was 88 degrees. Had to walk to front desk since no one answered the phone. They were all busy but they got maintenance up. Ac seemed to be fixed but I was not feeling well because of heat and napped. Woke up after midnight to no ac again. Called desk. Maintenance up but could not fix. Called front desk and they said no rooms were available. I asked them to help my get into a different hotel. 88 with no airflow was horrible and no one should be stuck in a room with no ac in June in Florida. After telling me no rooms were available they had a room available. We are moved now but why did they not move us first time? I also feel we should have some compensation...a few free meals and drinks would even be acceptable. Its 3 am and I cannot sleep and I have a headache so I am not happy. I am still upset that we could have been moved the first time and I would have had a much more positive review. Doubletree, please take care of people and get them moved when there are ac issues, but also be honest when there are rooms available. I even passed another empty room a few doors down when moving. This is super hard on my son with autism who I am travelling with and had literally ruined my night. I will say the new room has ac, is clean, and comfortable. Had this been my first room I would have left a 5 star review.

We just stayed at this hotel for a event that was held there. The location was good because we could walk to all parts of the event from our room. Our room was not great. The minute we entered the room, its smelled like mildew and was hot and humid. The room was either freezing while the ac was on, or sticky hot when it kicked off. The room was not dirty, but wasn't very clean either. One of beds just sucked. And all the pillows were uncomfortable. The front desk staff was nice when we checked in, and while we didn't have housekeeping do anything in our room, we did get some towels one day, the lady was very nice. The waitress we had at the restaurant was super sweet and the food was good. The parking was a nightmare. The hotel told us they would be monitoring parking to make sure guest only could park there, but they did not. People attending the event took all the hotel parking. My husband left to grab lunch, and spent almost 2 hours trying to find a place to park at the hotel. Absolutely unacceptable. Something needs to be done to clean the ac, because we all came home stuffy.

Check-in was quick and easy. If you are parking on site, you'll need a parking pass for the dashboard. The entire staff are very friendly and helpful. The entire property is fenced in, which makes it very safe to me. There is a main tower hotel and then there are mini two story hotel rooms. I stayed in one of the mini two story rooms closer to the street, and all you could hear was noisy cars honking and racing, I couldn't get a good night sleep. The room floors seemed very filthy and not cleaned regularly, my white socks were filthy on the bottom, I don't recommend using bare feet in these rooms. The price was cheap for the area but, I do expect cleaner rooms. The rooms really need a renovation. There were no bugs in my room, compared to what other people have stated in their reviews. The AC was cold and when I went into my room it was set on 65 degrees, nice and cool. The beds were somewhat uncomfortable. Overall, I wouldn't stay in one of those two story hotel rooms, I would try the tower next time....now I know. The hotel lobby is huge and they have a gift shop where you can get supplies and drinks. There were a couple of restaurants or markets on tge hotel property where I shopped regularly for a burger or pizza, which were delicious.

Nessa at the front desk was absolutely amazing. From the moment we approached her with an issue with not understanding our room rate and the credits to be applied, as well as adjusting our room to accommodate me as a amputee handicap she was able to get us into a handicap accessible room. The following day my aunt lost her wallet and after several checks with the front desk and Nessa was able to locate it with housekeeping. I rarely ever leave reviews, but she was absolutely amazing and deserves the most recognition possible! Thank you Nessa, you made our visit 1000 times better! April

Pros: 1. The staff here makes this facility!! Carlos, Diamond, Aida, Donfred, Denise and all the other helpful, professional, personable individuals are absolutely amazing!! 2. Location 3. Pool, hot tub, splash pad were enjoyable. Towels available poolside and at hot tub. Cons: 1. For the supposed reputation and price, the rooms left a lot to be desired! I was highly disappointed. 2. Even though I called and specifically asked about microwaves and refrigerators in both rooms, and was told “Yes”, there are NO microwaves in the rooms. There is one in the arcade. Big whoop! We had a group of 6 people and did not plan on dining out for every meal. Door Dash was a lifesaver. 3. A $27+ breakfast buffet is ridiculous and for the price of the rooms should be included! 4. Paying upwards of $35/day to park in the lot of the facility that we paid to stay in is absurd. The icing on the cake is the $444.81 charge per day per room I woke up to after the first night. I was told it is a pending status for “incidentals that may be charged to the room”. Nothing was charged to the room yet I’ve been home a week and those charges are still pending on my credit card. Totally unacceptable. All the extra unexpected costs at what is supposed to be a higher end hotel makes them seem quite greedy and petty. The two options on site for purchasing food were also priced too high. If I’m going to pay $20 for a cheeseburger it had better be the finest ingredients available. I’m not so inclined to spend $150 for 6 burgers and drinks so we did not get them. Honestly, I could have rented a house on the beach somewhere for a month and had a much more satisfying vacation. Doubtful I would ever return to this hotel.
