This hotel includes an onsite water park including seven slides and a kids splash park:

This place has beautiful rooms, comfortable beds. The service has not been what I’m used to at these resorts, except for our VIP concierge, Junior who has been outstanding and has handled every request we have asked of him with professionalism and a smile. Upon arrival at about 2 pm after checking we went to the get a bite to eat and noticed dirty wet towels and partially eaten plates of food at various empty tables and chairs around the pool. The spa treatments are very expensive but wonderful. The evening shows have been great. We have had to ask several times for our mini bar to be replenished which is supposed to be done once daily. Housekeeping does a good job. The worse thing is the constant mowing of the lawn and leaf blowing. It doesn’t seem to matter what time it is. Yesterday between 11 am and 1:30 pm they were in the area right behind our pool chairs, it could have been longer but it started to rain. This morning they woke me at 8:15 despite the fact I had earphones in. Honestly I would rather be inside my house with snow outside and quiet than in a beautiful place with a constant lawn mower.

I stayed there with my wife for 5 nights. The staff was excellent, we had the Preferred Membership where we had Roberto to assist us with all of our needs on the resort. He was an excellent resource to have and was very good at his job.
The property was beautiful and well maintained and again the staff was friendly and helpful. The employees there are very hard working.
However, I would highly recommend staying in a Preferred room because you get all your meals made to order and of a higher quality. I went to the lunch buffet, which is what you get when you do not upgrade to Preferred, and was not impressive.
The only complaint I have is that there are some employees in shirts that indicate that they work at the resort but they end up asking you to go to a breakfast the following day and offer some coupons. This was obviously some type of sales pitch which I did not appreciate considering I had already given the hotel a good amount of money.
I would say it was an excellent trip all around and I would recommend Dreams Royal Beach if you are considering a trip to the DR.

I find all such resorts boring—how much sitting, eating, and drinking can one person do? But aside from that, the service was superb. Our excellent hands-on butler was attentive, the rooms were immaculate, and the bartenders were skilled, even though, at an all-inclusive like this, they're working with the lowest-quality spirits.

Great family resort. I went with 30 ladies (mostly 50 and up) and had a good time. The food was 10/10. Family entertainment 10/10. Pools10/10.
Beach...too many vendors peddling merchandise.

Don't pitch in extra for Preferred unless you require liquor in your room, premium liquor bars, and special dining accommodations. MOST Preferred rooms are located FAR from beach in a secondary location. (Walkable)
Bring big spray. The tropical scenery created in this wonderful place is a breeding ground for mosquitoes

We just got back from an amazing trip!
I went with my husband and two young kids and the resort was so family friendly and accommodating of our allergies and specific dieterary restrictions. Special shout out to our butler Marcelo who went above and beyond to accommodate all of our needs! He was incredible and really made our stay amazing. Also everyone at the hotel was so friendly to our children.
Special shout out to chef Francisco and Ernesto at Fusion who were so accommodating to our foods and meals every single day. Thank you!!
My kids loved the night entertainment, pools and beach.
