The entire experience was amazing. The staff was really friendly and attentive with tons of options to accommodate for food allergies. The food was really spectacular and so were the drinks. It was also incredibly easy to book a day trip, and the facial and massage were amazing. All together was pretty shocked with how great it was and as someone who normally doesn't like resorts, I loved this experience and will definitely come back.

Overall I felt the staff was overwhelmed. I entered the property and bag check was normal and the staff was pleasant there. There is a lot of staff trying to sell another trip offering discounts (but not really). Let me preference this by saying I booked through a booking agent because it was my sister wedding. So it was surprising to know I had to leave $500 hold on my credit card. Now that I put on the booking agent not the hotel as this should've been disclose. I was able to get my room at 2:15pm. I forgot to say that I arrived at 10am. Waiting for a room is normal. My sister (the bride) ask if my room was ready and she was handed my card. Walked into the room and overall a bit outdated however good to stay in the room for a few days. Then I notice the safe was broken. I mean broken, it didn't work. I was willing to just let it go and just figure out something else. I was tired and went to take a shower and then realize there's no towels. Just hand towels. Got upset, put on some clothes and went to the front desk because they wasn't answering. The staff in the front apologize and said she will get maintenance over as well as house keeping for the towels. That was around 3pm. I called at 4pm and finally they picked up. The maintenance finally showed up at 4:30pm. Housekeeping showed up at 5pm. There's so much but this is what i can get out without getting out.

Half an hour from Cancun airport, this place is all inclusive and adults only. There are two other resorts called El Dorado Casitas and El Dorado Generations that share the same beautiful property. As a guest, you're free to use restaurants and bars at the other two. The property is really beautiful with lots of plants, flowers, fountains, and wildlife. The beach isn't a strong point but the Generations one is nice. The food is mostly positive. We loved the Asian place but the Santa Fe was not what we expected. All of the buffets were very good and certainly above average for an all inclusive. The service was overall excellent and friendly. We'll be back.

Excellent experience. The resort is beautifully maintained, the food and drinks are plentiful and delicious. The staff is friendly and helpful. Our butlers Gabby and Miriam were exceptional. They seamlessly managed our reservations, trip schedules and daily needs before we even knew we needed it done! Their help and friendship exemplifies the staff attitude and drives us to return every year

Hello mother hello father here I am in what has been a great resort on previous occasions but alas is like a total opposite to previous experience. Having requested a room in an area which is suitable to our physical disabilities almost a year in advance we were allocated a room in total contrast to what we required. As a result we have arrived and now truly wished we had not returned and it has transpired to be third time unlucky . As I sit in a room that is totally unsatisfactory and can hear music from a nearby disco thumping in my ear and at 70 years hold, and I can hear it says it all . I will of course be revisiting this issue in the morning, but after a 9.5 hour flight and a rediculous delay (1.5hrs ) to collect baggage in Cancun airport then a delayed transport to the hotel I am truly sorry we came back to Mexico. Watch this space for the next update After an hour of stress and unable to get settled I returned to reception . I explained the level of my discontent with the accommodation and I was reallocated another room in another area . So now I hope to experience this resort in the way I have on my two previous visits. Such a pity this happened. I will provide a further review or update this at the conclusion of our visit to this resort . Well, after the initial room issue which was in my opinion totally avoidable. The following two weeks at the resort proved to be as great an experience as our previous visits. The day to day breakfast buffet at Cocotal provides a wide variety of food, both hot and cold with a friendly young man preparing bespoke eggs and omelettes . Every visit starts with a smile and welcome then direction to a table where within moments a waiter attends to drinks required all the waiters once again are very friendly. There are quite a few venues to experience throughout the resort where breakfast is available, some with stunning views of the ocean. Lunch is available throughout this resort at a wide range of locations that cater for almost any kind of lunch you can imagine fresh salads, fish, burgers , pizza , vegetarian , and healthy options. There are various walk in venues for lunch throughout the resort , we found that Chefs Market in the Generations section provided an excellent variety of quality foods available. Once again the staff here are friendly and helpful, we found Louis to be particularly friendly and efficient. For evening dining at most of the specialist restaurants a reservation is required using the resorts online app which is simple to use. The food at the restaurants was for the most part really good along with great service. The wine kitchen was a particularly outstanding experience. In the event of being unable to obtain a reservation there are many locations such as chefs market or the pizzeria, where food is available until late, and if all else fails room service is always available. I started this review with details of a sad arrival experience . If there is one thing that makes this resort, it is the happy friendly staff for whom nothing is too much trouble to make your holiday experience a happy and memorable one. Special mentions to Lu and Victor at Cocatal. Augusto at Pizzeria. Louis and Eduardo at Chefs Market . As a final comment , we now hope to return again next year . I have also re- rated this from 1 to 5
