We had a relaxing time and rested which was our goal. That said, we expected more. The Mexican ethos of service is always high and welcoming. However, at this hotel we find that making a connection with a higher ranking staff gets you better treatment. That should not be necessary. The hotel’s system of reservation for the evening only restaurants is poor. We could not make a reservation for virtually any of the restaurants only to find that when we showed up and bought wine even without a reservation we could be seated because of how many no-shows. Tables were always available in spite of the “full reservation status”.
Bar hours are out of sync. Your amazingly situated Bar 66 closes at 5PM!!! Really? It doesn’t even get dark until 8PM.

We had such a nice time at Bahia Principe Luxury Akumal. All of the staff were so kind and conscious to our needs, checked to see if we had food allergies at every meal and helped us to navigate the large complex and scheduled activities. On days it was raining, we were impressed by the staff’s commitment to making sure everyone had a good experience with shows and performances (which went above and beyond with their showmanship). Every part of our trip we were blown away by the staff’s skills & expertise, dedication, and friendliness. Can’t recommend enough.

What an amazing holiday! We had a great time and everything was perfect! Spacious rooms, balcony with a view and close to the infinity pool and a snack bar, nothing we could have asked more! The racoons and wildlife were an extra that made the place look even more special. The beach is very clean and close to the pools.
But what made our stay unforgettable and will definitely make us return is the staff. Everyone was nice and trying to help from people with the shuttles to bar staff. Rodolfo at the reception was very helpful and nice.
Special mention to Abigail, Memo and Martin from the entertainment team. What a team! They have delighted us with dance moves and lots of fun. They really made us feel special and we want to thank them for a very nice “goodbye dance” that will stay in our memories for a very very long time! Thank you guys, you made us sad to leave such a beautiful place! You are amazing!

Our trip here was during a 3 day storm and despite that we still had an amazing time. There’s a lot of food options and tons of things to do all day as you’re are able to ride the trams and access across four different resorts in this complex. The staff are amazing and the drinks are even better!!

We have had the most amazing time on our 2 week family holiday. This hotel is unreal with delicious food, amazing drinks and the best kids club ever.
We have two children who have done all of the kids club activities with the staff and love all of them. A 4 year old (Harper) and 8 year old (Sienna) and they have been on countless adventures and completed wonderful activities with the whole kids club team, it has made their holiday so memorable. Hats off to them all, one in a million. The whatsapp updates of what the children are up to and all the photos are so lovely and make us adults not feel guilty for missing out on moments. The evening shows are so thoroughly rehearsed and every child who wants to participate has been able to shine, all the outfits and productions are marvellous - well-done to the whole team. My girls have enjoyed every single aspect.
All of the staff here are so attentive and can't do enough for all of us. Our room has been immaculate every single day and we have blown away at how incredibly well-kept the whole hotel and whole resort is. The mini-carts have been wonderful at getting us around everywhere.
Our holiday in Mexico 2024 has been everything we could've wished for and more, thank you to everyone. We are thinking 3 weeks next time 😊🌟
