My stay at Excellence Riviera Cancun was absolutely amazing from start to finish. From the moment I arrived, every member of the staff was incredibly kind, warm, and welcoming, always going out of their way to make sure my stay was perfect. The level of service truly made this resort stand out. The entertainment team was phenomenal and brought so much energy and fun to the resort every single day. A special shoutout to Adrian, who was outstanding—his enthusiasm, friendliness, and ability to engage guests made the experience even more memorable. The food was also excellent, with a wide variety of high-quality options that were consistently delicious across all the restaurants. Overall, this was an unforgettable experience, and I can’t recommend Excellence Riviera Cancun enough. I’m already looking forward to coming back!

Hate that the water isn’t clear here in the ocean. Huge disappointment. 1/2 the resort is exclusive to club member guests only. I like the food here; my husband is not the biggest fan. Everything is done on their app. (Entertainment schedules. Menus. Dress codes for meals.) That all being said… the grounds at this resort are gorgeous from inside to out, too to bottom. The staff is fabulous. The rooms are clean and sizable. If you like to be at the pool, this is the spot for you. They have several. I cannot rave enough about the activities staff. It rained every single day we were here at some point and not once was I bored. The WiFi actually works here contrary to most resorts/hotels I’ve stayed at. The shower in our room was huge and had decent water pressure much to my surprise. I was also glad for the double vanity. When it comes to storage for your clothes, there isn’t much. I’m not someone who likes to live out of a suitcase. The is a closet with a few shelves and some hangers but that’s about it. Be careful hanging things to dry outside. I hung my white bikini bottoms on the corner of a chair on our balcony and it managed to dye anything touching the chair blue. From crafts to trivia to fitness and more. They are so kind and helpful and most importantly engaging. Both Felipe and Felipe are great at the sol bar. Amazing pina colada and you have to try the mini beer shots! Very attentive bar tender. Great conversations. Elizabeth and Joel are great too. Elizabeth and Martine provide excellent poolside service. All of them remembered both mine and my husband’s names immediately day one of our anniversary trip. solma and Angelo were great at the paint and sip. (A favorite activity of mine during the trip) I also love the towel art I see when I return to my room every day. The grounds are gorgeous as well. Dianna in activities helped me make such a cute dream catcher after making hats this morning. The Burlesque show and the Legends show are a must see. Riffle shooting and archery in the morning was so much fun with Alicia and Michelle. Angelo, Michelle, & Dianna are my favorite people in the activities department.

We were looking for an established all-inclusive resort with beautifully lush, walkable grounds, endless meandering pools, attentive service, plenty of tasty food options, and a wide, sandy beach, all within 25 minutes of the airport. The ERC delivered and made my birthday getaway memorable. Don’t know what to order at the restaurant? Ask your server. Marco at Basmati. Eli at Agave. Adolfo at Chez. All made the meals great with food recommendations and special touches. Don’t miss out on the gem that’s not included: the Chocolate shop. Visit Kakao after dinner for some tasty samples and leave with artisan chocolates from different regions. We loved the resort's compact, colonial-style design. Arches. Columns. Stained-glass. Thatched roofs. While some may call it “dated,” it's just different from all the new mega resorts built with the same slatted wood, braided light fixtures, and sterile feel. Thanks to Lucia, Itamar, and Cici for taking care of the beach cabana and providing great pool service. Eduardo for the foot massage on the beach. My bride never likes people touching her feet, and she said it was outstanding! One last thing, the beach is wide, soft, sandy, and clean, but if you’re an ocean swimmer rather than just a sunbather, you may want to consider somewhere else. We weighed this before booking. Visiting the ERC? Smile! Have fun! Be Kind! You’re on vacation!

The staff here are amazing, thank you everyone for being so kind and polite, reliable, quick, and excellent energy. I loved the animals that live near the property, including the coatí they love pizza, the beach dog, the woodpeckers, the spiny tailed lizards (Rafa, Venus, and more), a blind black cat (so sweet) and geckos. I loved the food at the different restaurants, I was not able to visit every single one in the time I stayed there, but I greatly enjoyed the dinner shows at the pyramid, the lobster house, the breakfast buffet, and the French restaurant was phenomenal. I appreciated the private shuttle to and from. The bellhops and room service was excellent. Room service wait time is to be expected (especially after the evening shows conclude and people want late night snacks) however I had the best Salmon I've ever had by room service thank you so very much. The morning room service with egg dishes were also delicious and worth trying. The beach is beautiful and there are plenty of shaded beds, and hammocks to sun on, and you can see downtown Cancun. Thank you for an amazing time I never left the resort.

This was my first resort experience and I am happy! The resort is beautiful, clean, and artfully landscaped. The room is spacious and their A/C system works well (although the weather was so nice I preferred to just keep the sliding door open). There were a lot of fun activities: Alfredo made the 'Functional Training' class fun (a miracle, right?), and Elizeo at 'Rifles' and Mark at 'Archery' and 'Feeling Riviera Bike Excursion' were funny and cheerful, even under the blazing sun. Thank you to the many other staff members who helped us feel welcome and pampered throughout our stay! Some of the food was better than others. I hope they improve the stale tortilla chips situation. I think if you are expecting fancy restaurant food at every turn, your expectations will be dashed. However, it's also not $1000/night (like Ritz Carlton) or $20 vegan yogurt (also like Ritz Carlton); the cost to value ratio is commensurate. Some favourites: 'cheese cream' soup at Chez Isabelle is SO DECADENT I still think of it fondly and regret I did not have another, croquettes at Flavour Market, watermelon tiradito at The Grill, tuna carpaccio at The Lobster House, the pico de gallo (mmmMMM those tomatoes!), the fish carpaccio and bread pudding at the buffet, and octopus was always succulent. I loved the Teppanyaki experience (has to be booked); everything was delicious and I got to meet a real life teppanyaki ninja, Gerardo, who really made our night! The beach is gorgeous, with the grass umbrellas providing ample shade for lounging. I've seen a few people complain about the water not being clean or clear enough, but it felt fine to me. I'm from BC, where the water is mostly cold and dark all year, so it is particularly amazing to be able to spend hours in the warm, salty sea and walk barefoot on the soft sand. We took a snorkeling excursion and it's easy to get to super clear water from the resort. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and it provided the effortless, relaxing escape we were looking for!
