The Excellence Riviera Cancun knows how to provide luxury and good service! We stayed in a swim up room. Our patio has a hot tub, comfortable lounge chairs, and opens to a beautiful lazy river that has pool areas throughout. Water loungers are provided. The beach is beautiful, clean, and there are plenty of loungers with shade. As soon as you enter the pool, lounge on your patio, or grab a lounge chair on the beach, a waiter will ask if you need anything. We also loved all of the restaurants. There was delicious steak at Grill House with attentive service from Amelia, sushi at Spice Restaurant, lobster tails at Lobster House, and a late night juicy burger to name a few. There's also a coffee house! All of the staff were great. The night performances were top tier. I also could not believe how spacious and uncrowded the resort felt. We can't wait to come back!

Beautiful resort, very well maintained and clean. We booked a king excellence club ocean front room and received a 2 queens. Had to move the next day to get a room we paid for. Service was hit or miss. Buffet was marginal at best for lunch. Opened 10 minutes late and grill wasn't on to cook fajitas. Good drinks. Lobster house and hibachi were our favorite meals for dinner. Spa was great. Excellence club had heated pools thankfully. The main pool with swim up bar was not heated and too cold. Wish the lazy river was heated also. Beach was beautiful and clean. Will try a different resort next time.

We were there over Christmas and booked a Club swim out. Nice sized resort- not too big or too small. It is kept very clean. Service was great and friendly staff. I have a food allergy and they always confirmed it when we went to any restaurant which was reassuring. We went to The Grill on Christmas for dinner and Juan was our waiter- he gave us excellent service. I would recommend this resort.

Wow! Excellence Riviera Cancun was a dream! We visited over New Year's Eve to celebrate our wedding anniversary and to get away from the cold Midwest and this resort blew us away!
The location, views, entertainment, and relaxation was incredible, but the top thing this resort offers is the outstanding level or service and staff. We'd like to shout out some of the following: Francesco at the French restaurant, Ramon at The Grill, Alexa and Lucia in the Excellence Club, David who oversaw much of the resort, the cleaning staff, and so so many more.
Please go to this resort if you want a taste of paradise, while also meeting some of the best people around!

Awesome resort! Amable kills it at the pool and never leaves you wanting and remembers your drink from the first time you order it until you leave. Luis and Rolando are incredible at the club bar and make you feel welcome and happy to try out new drinks and love to talk about what they do and are very knowledgeable. David was an excellent bellhop and made sure the trip started feeling welcomed and at home. Highly recommend
