Just checked out of the Hard Rock after a 4 night stay as part of our honeymoon.
Are the rooms old and dated and in need of renovation? Yes of course.
But everything is still clean and tidy, staff are friendly, proximity to the parks is unmatched. So for approx €400 a night, with fast passes etc included, yes it is worth it. If I was in Orlando for work and I had to stay here, and nothing to do with the parks, I’d take issue. If you are travelling for the parks, this is definitely worth including

As a person who’s been in other hotels owned by universal I must say the hard rock shouldn’t be included on the list. Even cabana bay and surfside inn that are super cheap in price look so modern and fresh and are amazing hotels, but this hard rock is just old and dark. I didn’t like the room, my sister said sheets and pillows didn’t look clean, carpets and decor were old, the whole thing looked unattended. It is true that is close the universal and you have the water taxi but you can do the same with royal pacific, a wonderful hotel with lovely staff members and the place looks and smells of flowers in every room. My first time at this hotel but I prefer royal pacific, staff was very nice is universal after all, but I didn’t like the property.

Usually love the on site hotels. This was my second time staying at the Hard Rock this year. I won’t be staying there again due to how uncomfortable the rooms were. The AC for the first floor rooms (pet rooms) was so warm it was not possible to sleep. We were also told many times they are a pet friendly hotel yet now they offer no type of dog daycare service (yet they used to) and you are not allowed to leave your dog in the room over 10 minutes at a time. That doesn’t sound very pet friendly to me anymore it just sounds like $100 a room fee for you to sit with your dogs the whole time in the room (since they aren’t allowed anywhere in the parks or hotel other than the room). Overall the hotel is nice, but for the price I’ll stay at Royal pacific or portofino before I ever stay here again.

We’ve been to Universal 3 times, but this was at first at Hard Rock Hotel. The room was great, plenty of space for our family of 4. The entire staff was very friendly and fantastic to interact with. We had breakfast at The Kitchen one morning and it was delicious and the staff there was superb. We will definitely stay here again!!

Have stayed multiple times. Peter Parker(son) and I always have a blast! Comfy rooms great staff! Early park entry and Unlimited Express pass for two days of every night of stay. Those are normally $200-$400 per person per day! Quick walk to park. Excellent friendly staff. All the bars and restaurants rock especially The Palm. We visit 3-4x a year.
