Holiday Inn Bophut in Koh Samui is a fantastic choice, especially for families. The architecture is warm and welcoming, with an open design that makes the space feel inviting and relaxed. The color scheme adds to the cozy yet stylish atmosphere, making it a pleasant place to unwind.
For families with kids, the soft play area is a great size, offering plenty to keep little ones entertained. The splash park, though small, is fun and engaging, though a bit more seating for parents would be a welcome addition. The main dining area, Essence, is spacious and well-laid-out, making it easy to supervise kids while they explore the self-service options.
The pool area is a bit narrow, but the unbeatable beachfront location more than makes up for it. With direct access to the beach and just a short stroll to Fisherman’s Village, you’re perfectly placed to enjoy the best of Koh Samui.
One of the standout aspects of this hotel is the rooms—beautifully designed, incredibly comfortable beds, and a lovely balcony to relax on. Nearly perfect in every way! If you’re looking for a well-located, family-friendly stay in Samui, this hotel is an excellent choice.

We absolutely loved this resort. We were traveling with young kids and their setup for kids is amazing. They have a very nice playground, an indoor kids club (huge shoutout to the helpful staff) and a splash pad which kept the kids busy. Their kids eat free program and the 20% discount for IHG members also means eating at the resort is quite economical.
Only negatives on our end were the very small beds and the beach was quite grainy (not exactly something the resort can control).
My recommendation would be that if you have kids and don't need a phenomenal beach then this place will be great for you.

Newly build hotel, with fantastic rooms - extremely modern, face pool. Downside of being number one choice for families with kids so can become noisy at pool and restaurant. Would benefit of the bar area would be kids free zone, but you can just cross to the beach if too crowded. Perfectly located in Fisherman’s village so plenty of touristic choices for all. Right in front of fire shows during night. Recommended!

Bophut is the best place to stay in Koh Samui, with it’s lovely boulevard and lively market. Holiday Inn is excellent, it’s location is the best and it’s a wonderfull place to be with kids/families. Everything was above our expectations, much better even than the website pictures. It can get a bit noisy outside however, the rooms in the back are generally more quiet. The rooms are well insulated against noise, so the rooms are pretty quiet. Also the splash swimming pool with fountains is freezing cold as mentioned in other reviews. It’s a pity, because so many kids would love to play there but dislike the very cold water. However there is still a lot of fun in the indoor and outdoor playing grounds, the other pools and the beach.

We are staying at the hotel now and leaving tomorrow. The hotel's attitude is shocking. They are unusually fixed. We asked for a room with one bed, they claimed we didn't ask for it and said there were no such rooms and when we asked to cancel the reservation they suddenly found a room. We had breakfast, they were collapsing. A line to enter the dining room, a line for coffee. When we arrived at the hotel, they didn't explain anything to us about the hotel itself or the activities for the children. We asked for a late check-out from the hotel and they didn't agree to us. We paid 1500 shekels a night, a very expensive price, a small room and not worth the price. We won't go back, I don't understand why Israelis come here.
