Loved this resort! Food was AMAZING and everyone was super nice. My husband and I had a king beachfront private pool and it was the nicest room we've ever stayed at. The resort does a really good job with daytime and nighttime entertainment. Very clean resort with beautiful grounds. Only thing I didn't like was the main pool was freezing cold like ice water. Not heated like some other resorts.

I had the best time at Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya! My husband and I came for a few days to escape winter in New York and it was lovely. It was my first time at an all inclusive so I was a little wary but this resort exceeded my expectations. The property is beautiful and well maintained. The staff is attentive and polite. Special shoutout to Karla in reception who upgraded our room and to Sofia, our butler, who was accommodating and made us feel extra special and welcome. We loved relaxing at the beach cabanas and our private pool. The food was delicious and beautifully plated. We especially enjoyed our dinners at the sushi counter and the Italian restaurant. The hotel has a more relaxed atmosphere than a party one which was exactly what we wanted.

This was a great takeover for Hyatt from the old Secrets, when we went, it was not too crowded and the price was great compared to similar resort brands within the same category level. Food was good, drinks good, but the service was top notch. We definitely try not to compare resorts that are a great value to other high end and $$$ resorts we’ve been to. We enjoyed this resort for the small footprint it is on, and the cabanas (extra cost, but came with extra amenities). We may be back depending on if the value remains based on the price. Thanks again to all the staff!

Bright, peaceful and relaxing. It's not a monstrous resort where you get lost in the options available, it's smaller and just enough. Everything you need is there for you. The rooms are beautiful and ample. I like a firm bed, firm pillow. The beds & pillows are not super firm but are middle of the road. I truly feel asleep and stayed asleep every single night. VERY restful. The sheets were cooling and had weight to them. Loved loved loved it. You can order room service for breakfast the afternoon before and have it delivered before the restaurants open. It was great on the day I opted for an excursion. I also needed to get required meds from the pharmacy and their guest services were incredibly helpful. I was worried and amazed I could get the meds and they were delivered to my room! The food in the restaurants was delicious. All of them are great, but you must try the Italian restaurant and order the pears for dessert. Exceptional! Chilling by the pool was easy and service is solid. Try a Miami Vice cocktail. Also, the "mini beer" shot is one I'll recreate at home. Yummy! It's not what you'd expect. If you want a massage, get one on the beach vs. through the spa on the resort. Prices are good and comparable to back home. I dozed off and that's always a good sign. If you want to book a cabana, try to get one reserved in advance. They book up quick. If you miss the window, try checking that morning. Often there are cancellations and our party of 13 scored two cabanas and third half shell bed just by asking that morning. The excursions are fun. I did my first excursion ever and went to Tulum to see the Mayan ruins and snorkel in a lagoon. It was safe. We were well informed, prepared and taken care of. We brought our own floating seats for the pool. That was a really smart tip. It was easier to lounge in the water for longer when you can just take a load off. Lastly, I didn't realize that a resort without kids was nice. I love kids, but because this was adult, the vibe was much more relaxed than a family resort. I needed to unwind and de-stress and it was really wonderful. A couple more good tips, take advantage of the coffee shop. The coffee, bakery and gelato is divine! My only caution is: don't buy sunblock or after sun lotion on the resort. Bring your own. The convenience store is very overpriced unfortunately.

Nice resort with nice pools and a large beach. They did a great job of cleaning the beach every day. The water is not really pretty in this area of the Riviera Maya, but again the beach was nice. We were there with a very large group of 300+ people and they did a good job of accommodating everyone.
