Impressive Premium Punta Cana

Nice resort worth going premium for better quality spirits and full use of all bars, great beach area and water activities available, book at the beach hut for snokelling trip which was good. Food quality is okay with lots of options. Reception team i found to be very blaise as we booked a king sized bed and got a small double, after asking numerous times to the butler service (Inc with premium) and reception we gave up after 3 days chasing with no proper answer. I don't expect the hotel to read this review, but if offering a butler/contact service, then they really should be responding to messages. Premium pool and bar (nice staff) very good varied with activities to fill the day. Evening shows were decent. If you book premium, once you get there, try and pre-book the restaurants on offer as these book up very fast. You can use the hotel link once there. $35 in cab from airport, took just under 30mins. Not a great deal outside of hotel apart from few restaurants, bars, supermarkets. Bring USD as ATM is only DOP and ATM's outside were mostly out of service. Ask questions if needed. Overall a good hotel to book.

My partner and I just stayed here for 3 nights for an impulse way to warm up this winter. This is my second time at a resort in the Dominican Republican, and I went in with low expectations because of the price we paid and the last minute booking. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not the best resort, but very affording and fantastic for the money. The staff were all attentive. The drinks were great! The food was only okay, but we didn’t go for the food so it was fine. We upgraded to premium which I think was worth it because we got a bigger room, complimentary room service, nicer bars, and a butler. I wasn’t sure want to expect from the butler service, but it was a good experience. Our butler was Robinso, and he was able to replace lost keys, convert currency, get reservations, and make change on a last minute notice everyday. Overall, I think the impressive Punta Cana is great for people wanting an affordable all inclusive in the Dominican and would absolutely come here again for a weekend getaway.

Not the worst experience but definitely NOT COMING BACK. I guess that nothing can make this place become that bad so that is a plus. The beach in front of the hotel is also beautiful. Also, being fair, the hotel was mostly well kept with things clean and tidy. In addition, they have firm beds which I loved. Really comfortable for me. The activities are mostly nice as well. However, we had a couple bad experiences that I would like to point out so people can take better decision: - Way too much talking. You arrive, talk to the luggage guy, who send you to another person, who present you to your concierge, who guide you to the checkin like. After checking in you go back to talk to all these people before taking your luggage and finally making your way to your room. - ⁠Now, and this is surely the CRAZIEST THING: we paid to be in the hotel and suddenly we are in a shity talk on timeshare and vacation homes! To the point where saying no to your concierge is not enough. Had to wait for a supervisor to say no to him! I am absolutely sure no one paid the hotel for that talk. The concierge made sure to repeat many times that us saying no would not change the quality of his services (words that he kept) but at that point we just did not know if that was another seller strategy or what. - ⁠the system that should allow you to book your dinners/lunches is very interesting. After you booked things for 2 nights, nothing is available anymore. In addition, for some restaurants we would not find anything available. However, you can be sure, your concierge can do it for you! Magically make a spot available. To me, this is tipping business to another level… - ⁠Food was mostly “ok”. Edible for sure, far from great. Plus we had a “sour” tasting tiramisu that was surely spoiled already. Also had food with hair in it. Now, except from the spoiled food, we understand that making food for that many people is always complicated. But the spoiled food was a bit hard to let it slide. It wasn’t just us who left the tiramisu almost untouched by the way. - ⁠From the hotel website, the very own where you can make your booking, there is an area to order an airport transfer. We did that and got connected to a third party company. On the return leg, we went to the hotel concierges to get confirmation on transfer and they not _only treated but also_ said that the hotel does not have responsibility over that. We got the transfer from the HOTEL WEBSITE. To make it worse, the concierge was quite rude and not willing to connect us to the service. They rather asked us to call them. Now, my understanding was that they were there to help us getting connected to services, right? Even when they finally called the company, they handed us the phone (we are far from fluent in Spanish) so we could talk to them instead. - ⁠Our room had a constant musty smell. - We understand some people enjoy being served but that is not our case. Having to ask for almost anything was quite a bummer. Even getting water was a bit tough sometimes. Not to mentioned that this dependency would force us to be unnecessary long lines.

We spent an amazing time there. Hotel is situed in the beutifull tropical garden. Our room was perfect and daily cleaned. Only just one note - we were at bulding which has connected rooms and there are locked wooden door as only barier, everything is really heard - for somebody could be problem especially if you travel as a pair:-) we didnt care who will heard us. Food was perfect, great choice - no problem. We had no Premium, absolutelly not needed. Clean beach and so long coast, we spent a lot of time of walking along the beach more than 5 km both directinon and we loved it. Overall we had a amazing holiday.

Premium is not worthy. 1. We took Premium and should receive an Premium Tropical view room. NOT TRUE. They give us what they had available and we needed to spend 1/2 day to change the option. The first room we received was terrible (building 25) and took them half a day to change it. We received a better one in building 23. 2. With Premium you should have a butler - NOT TRUE. we never saw/ interact with our butler. Somebody contacted him when we changed our rooms but he did not have the kindness to contact us never. 3. With Premium you can go to multiple restaurants: NOT TRUE. restaurants can be booked only using their application but the app always displayed “no availability” for all restaurants and when we went personally there, all the tables were empty. Best place to eat for us was Open Sea Restaurant (you don’t need to book it in advance) 4. You have private beach and premium pool: NO MAJOR DIFFERENCE. from my perspective there is no difference between premium and normal in this case. Both pools look similar and beaches are identical. 5. NO ATTENTION PROVIDED FOR OUR SPECIAL CELEBRATION. Our experience was actually our honeymoon. We wrote them an email in advance to inform them and we also mentioned at the Reception. No attention was provided to us, to celebrate this event. However there were a lot of rooms with “Happy Birthday” or “Welcome Back” on the door. And we offered them a lot of tips. For us Premium was not a good choice. Our friends had regular (not premium) that was much cheaper and they were treated same as us.
