We had an amazing stay at JOIA Bávaro by Iberostar for a birthday vacation with friends! We booked a swim-out room, which was super convenient for quick pool access and relaxing on the ground level. Dining: The restaurants were easy to find, and we never had trouble getting a table for dinner. The steak and seafood restaurant was by far our favorites! Service: The staff here are incredible! Lucy’s beach yoga every morning was a perfect start to the day. Our butlers, Houston & Armando, went above and beyond to make sure our group of 14 had everything we needed (no small task!). The pool bar staff were quick, friendly, and kept the drinks flowing. Amenities: The pools were always clean and well-maintained. I also visited the spa at the neighboring hotel twice—loved the wet pool area, and I highly recommend getting an exfoliating scrub on the last day to refresh your skin after all the sunscreen use. Overall, JOIA Bávaro delivered an amazing experience with excellent service, great food, and a relaxing atmosphere. Would absolutely recommend for a group trip or a relaxing getaway!

We had such an amazing time to spend our honeymoon at this place. The staff were amazing and super friendly and accommodating. From the moment we walked in, to the moment we walked out, we felt so welcome and well taken care of. We were so lucky to have Reynaldo as our butler. Every day, he informed us of the resort activities for the day. He always went out of his way to make sure we were having a great time and ensured us that we can always contact him if we needed anything. Reynaldo made sure that our honeymoon was extra special by arranging surprises at our hotel room with Champagne bottle, strawberries, roses in bed, whirlpool, and more. We were so glad we came to this place, our honeymoon couldn’t have been any more special. They have variety of options at the restaurants. The bartenders and activity staff made sure we are always having fun! Everyone is so friendly and did not make us feel like strangers! Will definitely come back again, hopefully the staff will still be the same!

Our stay here was fantastic. The service was excellent, and the room was perfect. Our butler was Jose and he attended to all of our needs. In the lobby, Ingrid helped us arrange our excursions and our return trips. She was very friendly and helped us whenever we needed it. Our favorite part was hanging out at the different pools every day and meeting new people. All of the staff checked on us frequently to see if we needed anything. We plan to come back to this same resort next year. The food wasn’t the best I’ve had, but it was good and there was a lot of variety. you won’t be disappointed.

We loved this elegant resort and couldn't fault it in anyway. The location, the room, the food, the staff, the entertainment. It suited us totally - with quietish days (if that is what one wanted, if not the entertainment team provided lots to do) and dancing, live music and shows every night. Special mention goes to Ortiz and Fran.... (the waitress whose full name I have forgotten) who made our breakfasts very special. The entertainment team who did just that - welcomed and entertained us so well - Xavier Chocolate, Black Mamba, Yelli, Dai, Ruth, Smile and more (apologies to those I have left out. Can't remember all the names). And Valentin our butler was very attentive. Thank you all for a relaxing stress free happy 2 weeks.

We are just departing this outstanding resort. The amenities, room, food and service are top-notch. More importantly, the people that work here are amazing. From the moment we arrived through departure, the team of resort employees were always kind, polite and welcoming. Especially, we would like to mention the service level of our butler, Edward. He was always helpful, kind and ready with a smile. He knew our first names and checked on us daily. He’s one of the best and very professional. Also, I’d like to mention our pool area bartender, Braulio. He also provided us with excellent service and made our overall experience memorable. The availability of books, sunscreen and chairs was also helpful. Overall, this is a 5-star resort. We will be back again next year.
