We had an incredible stay at the Melia Koh Samui. We stayed in the Boat House, which was absolutely gorgeous – luxurious, spotless, and very spacious. The comfy bed, large bathroom with two showers, a bathtub, double sink, and a big wardrobe made it feel like true 5-star comfort. We loved having our own private sunbeds with direct access to one of the pools right from our room – such a special touch. We also had access to The Level, which really elevated our experience. The à la carte breakfast was fantastic, the snacks available throughout the day were delicious, and the unlimited drinks and cocktails from 5:30–7:30 pm were the perfect way to end the day. What really made our stay exceptional was the staff. Tamarind, Nitty, Keng, Seen, and Pikky were all outstanding – so friendly, attentive, and always going the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed. Every member of staff we met around the hotel was warm and welcoming, which made the whole experience feel so personal and special. The food and drinks were excellent, and the beach was beautiful, with the added bonus of local massage spots nearby. Overall, it was a perfect balance of luxury, relaxation, and amazing hospitality. We would absolutely recommend Melia Koh Samui and can’t wait to return!

Great family dedicated hotel overall, 5 star ratings on excellent staff, nice rooms, very central location with a nice beach area. The pool area has a great design, the hotel also never feels crowded. What is important to know should you consider going, the regular rooms are on 3 levels with no elevator available at all. So if you have a kiddie-stroller or other things to move regularly, you should consider this and ask for a room on ground level. Also, the breakfast area is open without air conditioning, also good to know in case you are there for the hottest time of the year.

I had a great stay at Melia Koh Samui, staff are mostly lovely, amenities are great and location is very accessible. I honestly had no complaints except for one incident at the Level Breakfast. I came at a less busy time there was about 2 families and 2-3 other single people eating. I waited about 6-8 mins to get my order taken and I see the server was at the coffee area and walked up and asked her if I can order. She said she will go attend other tables first. I sat down, still nothing. Got myself my own cup of tea. After waiting 10mins and seeing her free, I walked up to her again and I was told to basically wait… ok? I see another staff member and asked if I can order with him, he took my order immediately and I expressed the situation with his colleague he apologized and said she doesn’t speak English. However a family sat near me and she took their order immediately IN ENGLISH. It definitely made me feel uncomfortable and insignificant. Would still recommend Melia Koh Samui as it is probably a one off situation.

The hotel is amazing and very beautiful. The beach is perfect and there are free kayaks. The food is the best we had. The service is very good and very helpful. Location is not the best but we know that. Only one problem we had. All the rooms had a bad smell of mold ( Other guests also said the same thing). So hard to sleep Thay need to make deep clean min one a month. Not all the pool excess rooms look the same and its odd , and the room are a bet old look. It was look like They are renovating the hotel so maybe it will be fixed. If there was no smell its 5 star of great vacation

Inconsistent service quality. Some of the people were great like the attendants in the Level Lounge and the bellhop were amazing. Remembered us every day and greeted us asking how things were going. We visited for my girlfriends birthday and I asked the front desk a bit last minute if they could set up something for my girlfriend. This was around 4 hours before she would arrive so I was understanding if it would be later in the day. The front desk assured me they could do something for her birthday and I sent an email as well just to make sure. They emailed back that they'd be reaching out with further info and then silence. Didn't hear anything for the rest of the trip and had to figure out an alternative. I would've been fine if they told me they couldn't do anything but I heard nothing after being assured they'd set it up. The only other blotch on the trip was trying to visit the spa that we prepaid for. No one was in the spa and I didn't know how to schedule the massage I had paid for so I asked the front desk. They said I'd need to ask the spa and when I told them no one was there they said I'd just need to ask them anyway. Very nice location. Very kids and family focused with a beautiful resort just harmed by the wild differences in service quality.
