I originally booked a Garden Room without realizing there were two types of accommodations available. The Beach Rooms are definitely more premium, and while I attempted to upgrade, they were fully booked. That being said, the Garden Rooms were still comfortable and well-appointed—plus, they were likely quieter, offering a more peaceful retreat. The staff here are absolutely wonderful—exceptionally accommodating and always going above and beyond to ensure guests have the best experience. Their warmth and attentiveness made a lasting impression, and I truly appreciated their efforts. I traveled with friends this time, but I’m already planning to return with my family, and when I do, I’ll be booking a Beach Room for the full experience. The pool is fantastic, offering a great place to relax and unwind. The food and cocktails served by the beach in the afternoon were a highlight—delicious, fresh, and perfect for soaking in the island vibes. One of the standout experiences was the fire show—definitely a must-see! I recommend reserving a table right on the beach for the best view and an unforgettable evening. In terms of nightlife, the immediate area around the hotel is relatively quiet, with a few beach clubs and activities along the shoreline. If you’re looking for more vibrant nightlife, the main party strip is about a seven-minute taxi ride away, and taxis are always readily available. Overall, this was a fantastic stay, and I can’t wait to return!

This hotel is by far the best I have ever stayed at! The experience was absolutely perfect, and the staff were incredibly welcoming—truly making it feel like a slice of paradise. Every detail was meticulously attended to, ensuring an unforgettable stay. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a flawless and enchanting getaway.

We had an outstanding stay at Mercure Koh Samui. I absolutely recommend the beach side of the resort…worth the upgrade! The beach BBQ is amazing and the fire show is out of this world! I have seen a lot of fire shows at this is the best by far! The most outstanding staff were the breakfast team members…always smiling! One gentleman in particular, not wearing a name badge but ‘in training’. So friendly and engaging. Pool bar team were also great! Rooms very clean and well appointed. May need a regroup in the bathroom soon. Keep up the good work!

We were returning from 5 weeks touring in Europe and needed somewhere to relax. The Mecure Samui Chaweng Tana was perfect for this. The beautiful pool just steps from our fantastic room, friendly and helpful staff, a swim up bar and a quiet beach in front was ideal.

The hotel is absolutely lovely—modern, spotless, and beautifully designed. It’s worth noting that the property has two sections, so be sure to book a room in the newer part for the best experience. The staff were fantastic, going above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The pool is stunning—large, inviting, and perfect for relaxation. Overall, it's a wonderful place to stay! The main downside is that the beach by the hotel isn’t suitable for swimming due to the rough waters. We visited in January, so it might be different at other times of the year, but during our stay, it was simply too rough to swim. Additionally, with over 120 rooms, the pool area felt overcrowded, and there weren’t enough sun lounges available, which limited how much we could use the pool. Breakfast was okay; the variety of food could have been better, and some items didn’t seem to hold up well in the bain-marie. The room service food (non breakfast) was very good!
