Just got back from a 5 day trip and let’s just say I am glad to be home. 5 days were enough at this resort, could’ve been 3 and I’d be fine with it.
Room: not clean. We stayed in a swim out and the room was nowhere ready for anyone to stay in. Construction was going on in the rooms next door to us so the TV and Minifridge were not working and not stocked. Baby roaches crawling around. You need to use their app to request towels, cleaning, or anything related to the room.
Food: 2/5 stars. Hunters Steakhouse was probably the only good option. Everywhere else was bland. Sushi was horrible. They must use sweet rice in their rolls because everything tasted the same. Room service is a joke. Be prepared to wait 2+ hours for a burger and fries. The menu is very very small.
Beach: this was the best part. The water is incredible and the hotel kept the sand clean from seaweed.
People: very friendly staff. Bartenders are the best and definitely work for their tips but the liquor isn’t good. Make sure you request specific liquors with your drinks or else they’ll use their local liquors which is lower quality. It will make you sick.
Amenities: lazy river was awesome and pools are great.
Entertainment: there was something every night in their entertainment area. Either a show (Rock concert, Dominican dances) or game nights.
If you’re traveling with kids, this is the resort for you. This resort is super kid friendly and they must market themselves that way because kids were running around everywhere and crying babies were included in dinners. This didn’t bother us though since we had a little one. Just a heads up for the couples or Solo Travelers looking for a good time.
Overall, we won’t be back.

My husband and I stayed in the Royalton Bavaro Resort in October 2024, for four nights and five days. The Junior swim up suite was nice. My suite was very clean every day, great service. The food department, needs improvement, and restaurants were not well air conditioned. Beach was great, pools are kept clean with great pool bars. Resort is safe. My main complaint is the excessive soliciting of their Time Share like membership. 😫😤

We recently stayed at the Royalton Bavaro Resort with a group of six and, while there were aspects of the resort that were enjoyable, our experience left much to be desired. The grounds were clean and beautiful, creating a lovely atmosphere; however, we were surprised to find that the landscaping was not as meticulously maintained as expected for a resort of this caliber. 🌴✨
When it came to the food, we were unfortunately disappointed. Across all dining options we tried, the meals lacked flavor and character, failing to deliver the vibrant culinary experience we had hoped for. 🍽️ The feedback from other guests we encountered in the dining rooms echoed our sentiment—many seemed just as underwhelmed by the food quality.
The resort staff were polite, which we appreciated, but the level of customer service fell short in terms of attentiveness and proactiveness. Simple requests often required repeated follow-ups, leaving us feeling that a higher level of care could have been provided to enhance the guest experience.
Another concern was the pricing of excursions. We found the options to be significantly overpriced compared to what we’ve experienced at other resorts in the region. 🏖️💸
One of the biggest letdowns was the inability to access the swimming pools at night. With such beautifully lit pools, it feels like a missed opportunity—and, frankly, an injustice—that guests can’t enjoy a serene evening swim. 🏊♂️🌌
Overall, the resort has potential, but it missed the mark in key areas that matter most to vacationers. Unfortunately, given these shortcomings, we are unlikely to return unless we see significant improvements reflected in future reviews. We hope the resort takes these observations to heart and strives to create a better experience for its guests.

Marvelous family vacation in a great Resort! Everything was perfect and we enjoyed every single experience. Room and all the property are super clean (rosemary took a good care of our room). room service and minibar team were friendly and were always sure we didn’t miss any item and deliver on record time. Food is great in all the restaurants, tasty and varied with a lot of flavors. All the team were smiling and caring and we didn't feel the waiting time. Special note to the Marche team, for breakfast and dinner, it offers a huge selection. We all gained weight during the stay 😊
Entertainment programs are cool and funny without being noisy. Shout-out to Joel and Eduardo who were really following up all our requests and just one message away. They took the butler service to another level. Beach teams meticulously cleaned all sunbeds and made sure that customer is comfortable, and service with drinks is good. Beach is clean and well kept. Internet connection is great even at the beach. Thank you for the memorable moments!

I recently just took a trip here from September 5 through September 9 2024 immediately when we first got there, our room confirmation was not scheduled correctly when we called, they definitely read off all three names of the people that purchased the room. When we showed up, there was only two names on the list which we was forced to pay additional $420 which was fine, but when we got to the room, the room was not properly cleaned. The bathtub was dirty. One of the sinks had sand in it, two of the beds had sand under the sheets. We immediately called room service. It took them over an hour to come to the room to clean it again, which is fine, but the attitude was not called for. If you plan to do any excursions I’ll definitely recommend not planning them all together. That way you can enjoy the all inclusive, when it comes to room service room We had issues because they gave us everything but what we ordered on the menu. The customer service was not the best, but I can say overall it was not everybody. It was just a few that had attitudes. Just be mindful when it comes to eating, you have to make a reservation as early as possible because you may be unlikely to get a reservation, which means if you don’t go to the buffet, which was not open half the time we was at the resort you will not have food… i’m not exactly sure of the hours of the buffet. Go to the buffet early enough that way the food is still warm obviously, again some days the buffet closed early or wasn’t open at all (no reasoning to why when asked) I forgot the bartenders name, but he did such a wonderful job amazing guy, real fun spirited and he made my stay so much better after we found him. The resort is such a beautiful beautiful place which I will give that 10 stars customer service 3 stars. As this was my first time out of the country I did enjoy myself. I just wish things were a little better. I can’t say whether or not just yet if I would make another reservation here. I will say Punta Cana you will see me again!
