Went with my boyfriend for a getaway here last week. We were looking for a place to relax, be beside a nice beach, with a resort that also has nice pools, swim up bars, and entertainment. An agent suggested this resort to us particularly because of the beach - there was next to no sargassum. The beach at this resort was beautiful, I would give it a 10/10. It was clean, had lots of seating options, and the water was perfect. The resort also had amazing views from the hotel room, which we were offered to be upgraded at the front desk from a view of the road to a pool view. The resort altogether - the rooms, pools, walkways, beach - were all very clean and stunning. The thing that was kind of a disappointment for us was the food. We understand going to an all inclusive does mean not getting the best food, but about 25% of the time the food was inedible. Particularly at the steakhouse, the wrong steaks were served and they were practically raw - we had to walk out because we could not eat the food and go to the buffet instead. As for the buffet, I definitely recommend going here for lunch or dinner. Most of the restaurants were a disappointment. We would arrive and be informed that they were not serving half of the menu. We tried four different places and each place let us know they were entirely out of something we would have ordered for a main or an appetizer. Otherwise, the service at the restaurants were mostly very friendly. The staff around the resort and in the bars were excellent - very pleasant and always approachable and helpful. However, some people were relentless about the excursions. There were many minor things on the trip that contribute to the overall three star rating, our mini fridge wasn’t stocked half the time, the iron did not work and we weren’t given a new one, the temperature in our shower was out of control, but overall we made the most of it and were mainly at the beach. Overall we had a pleasant vacation staying here. Lovely views, great staff, amazing beach!

I have to say this was one of the worst resorts I have been on. The location itself just didn't look safe. The room wasn't stocked when we checked in which leads me to think it wasn't cleaned. The restaurants was already booked up the day we checked in so I didn't get to experience that. I was able to book one restaurant but it was the same food from the buffet. I liked the buffet but they was closed from 10:30am - 12:30pm. So in between time it was no food to eat because we couldn't get a reservation. At night time the buffet closed at 10pm so after 10pm you had to get room service. Room service took two hours to come and the food was terrible. The elevators at the resort was like a sauna. The night life was not it. All the swim up pools was closed by 7pm. They had one indoor bar on the resort but that was OK. I was with a wedding party with over 100 guest and we made the best of it. Each night we was looking for places to hang within the resort and we couldn't find anything to do. It was like a ghost town. We spoke to the manager and he said he would look into the issues we was having but never followed up.

I regret to have to provide this complaint but I believe it is necessary to inform someone of what my husband and I experienced at the Hideaway Royalton adult only resort in Montego Bay. The trouble began with the check in process. When we entered the Diamond Club area, there was a woman in a bathing suit seated on the check-in desk talking to the person who was supposed to be checking in guests. Because of his pre-occupation with this woman, our check-in process turned into a disorganized chaotic 2 hour mess. Several other guests arrived after us but were helped before us when other staff members arrived. When we finally got our room assignment, I was absolutely shocked by the room and truly thought there must be a mistake. We purchased a 5 night stay in a luxury junior suite with a king bed and butler. I’ve attached a picture of what was advertised versus what we received. There was NOTHING about our room that would make it a suite. I’ve also attached a picture of the room we received, which looks very much like a double bed standard room. We attempted to get a room change but was told nothing could be done. To add insult to injury, we sat for the 1 1/2 hour vacation club presentation and was taken to a model room to demonstrate the level of quality we would receive if we joined the vacation club. The model room shown during the presentation was described by the representative as a luxury junior suite with king bed and butler service. The same description given for the room we were assigned for our stay, but the model room was twice the size of our room and was clearly a suite. This only confirmed my suspicion that what we were being told could not be trusted. There is no way that I could believe that what was being promised during the vacation club presentation would ever truly be delivered. Also, we did not have any communication from our butler until our 3rd day on the resort. The butler shared that a different butler should have been in communication with us during our first two days. Unfortunately, that did not happen. Other concerns during our stay was that there was no hot water and all of the “different” restaurants served the same food but gave it a different name. We had to take a cold shower for 5 days. We thought by selecting a Marriott resort that we could confidently expect quality and that we could trust what we were sold. This did not happen. I respectfully request a refund for our stay. What we received is not what was advertised and not what we paid for.

Visited this resort with a group of 20+ and we were constantly told, "we're out". This included various foods being served, liquor (very limited options), and more. The entertainment provided by the vibe crew was fun during events. I would have liked to have seen more food options for dinner and breakfast other than the buffet. Restaurants had few to no open reservations during our stay. They could have done more to let us know about the app and activities available during our stay. The resort is beautiful, but our view was a turf roof from our balcony.

You was such a wonderful fitness instructor Adrian – Thank you for always being attentive, friendly, and making sure our stay was flawless. Your calm, helpful attitude made everything flow smoothly. You truly embody excellence in service. Malish – You brought the vibe! Whether it was through your upbeat spirit or how you always seemed to know just what we needed, your service stood out in every way. You made every day brighter. To everyone at the resort: thank you for creating a piece of heaven for your guests. We will absolutely be returning—and recommending this incredible Jamaican gem to all our friends and family.
