This resort is way overpriced for what you get. I paid extra for the preferred club and a so-called personal butler, but it was nothing more than staff wandering the halls trying to squeeze money out of tourists. When I asked about bike rentals, the butler claimed he didn’t know of any, then tried to push overpriced scooters. Within minutes I found a local bike rental nearby for a fraction of the cost. The butler was clearly more interested in profit than helping. The restaurants are another nightmare. The food tastes good, but the wait times are beyond ridiculous. Be prepared to waste over 4 hours of your vacation just to get a meal. You end up having to decide if you want to wait forever for food you already paid a high price for at the hotel or actually enjoy the city. Either way, you lose. One morning before heading to Xplor, my girlfriend and I ordered breakfast hours in advance to counter the long wait times. When we called to check on it, we were told the order was never received because of “system problems.” We had already paid for it, but left hungry. Staff here are unreliable. On top of that, staff constantly knock on your door every few minutes, making it impossible to relax in your own room. The atmosphere is lifeless, the pools are boring with no music or entertainment, and the place feels dead quiet. The location and architecture may be beautiful, buy poor leadership and terrible operations completely ruin the experience. Do not waste your time or money here.

Good location with okay rooms. We visited at the end of August, with the AC turned all the way down, the room is still a bit hot especially if you were to shower. As for food. The steak was really good, but everything else was okay. Very limited breakfast options. If you want to get dinner at around 8 pm even on a Monday night, there is at least a 90 minutes wait for all restaurants. Overall an okay experience.

Loved! Loved! Loved the Vine! The staff is absolutely AMAZING! The food was OUTSTANDING with so many choices! This is one of the cleanest places I have stayed and they were always on any area where guests left anything behind (some adults can't clean up after themselves). The entertainment was FANTASTIC! We went to 3 shows and enjoyed all 3 (and normally go to none). I look forward to return visit!!

Spent a week here in April and I have nothing but good things to say. Personally I want to mention the phenomenal customer service we received… EVERYONE who I had the pleasure of interacting with were amazing (I wanted to give a special shout out to Humberto and Manolo in the Market cafe) always provided us with friendly and gracious service from start to finish and with a smile. Food was surprisingly tasty, I’ve been to Mexico numerous times and I can say this was the best quality of food we have had and there were plenty of options. Rooms were spacious and the views are just breathtaking (we stayed in the Junior Preferred Oceanview room) and the A/C worked great. I wouldn’t say they have a lot of entertainment other than the evening, so it’s definitely more relaxing during the day. Beach was beautiful and clean… the only con would be you have to wake up pretty early if you want a good spot for the day, by 10am it was hard to get a chair by the pool! Overall great resort experience, will definitely be back!

I recently had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday at Secrets The Vine Cancun, an enchanting adults-only resort that I had dreamed of visiting. From the moment I stepped through the entrance, I was welcomed with a refreshing drink and the genuinely warm greetings from the staff, who made me feel right at home. Their slogan really captures the essence of the experience. During check-in, we were offered an upgrade to a junior suite for an extra $100 per day, and I’m so grateful we took it. The stunning views from our suite made every moment feel special and worth it. The resort offers a variety of activities, especially in the evenings, with mini concerts and live music that create such a vibrant atmosphere. One of the highlights of our stay was the chef’s tasting dinner—it was an unforgettable experience with beautifully private rooms, multiple courses, and expertly paired beverages that delighted our senses. The pools are lovely, though they can get quite busy as the day unfolds. Thankfully, with our suite upgrade, we had access to a private rooftop pool that offered a more serene escape from the crowd. The food options are plentiful and available throughout the day, with at least two restaurants open at any time. I was particularly impressed by the Asian cuisine—truly exceptional! Just a heads up, it does get quite busy around 7 o’clock, so planning ahead can be helpful. Service at the resort was exceptional, and I want to give a special mention to Mr. Sebastian, who was incredibly friendly and attentive. He approached every request with ease and positivity, making our experience even more enjoyable. I can’t recommend Secrets The Vine Cancun highly enough. If you’re considering a getaway, this place truly offers a beautiful and restorative experience.
