a very upscale, modern hotel. the staff are attentive and friendly, although they seemed a bit understaffed at times. i loved the vibrant variety of colors used in the upholstery. the hotel's location is very convenient. however, my room felt rather cramped considering the price i paid($350 per night). the complimentary breakfast was delicious, and since we stayed for four nights, we had the opportunity to try all the different menu options.

I would like to share my stay at The Standard. I stayed at the hotel for one night with my family and my dog. I was very happy to be able to take the dog with me. I really liked the location and atmosphere of the hotel, from the entrance to the observation deck in the tower.
As soon as I checked in, my things were delivered to my room and they brought me bowls and a bed for my dog, which was very nice. I was given many coupons for the bar in the hotel itself and on the observation deck, as well as a ticket to the site itself, meaning I didn’t have to buy it additionally. The view from the room was gorgeous, I was able to fully enjoy the views of Bangkok and so was my dog. In the evening I visited the hotel bar and the cocktails were super, I had never drunk anything like that before. The night views were magnificent. It was nice to have a 24-hour gym, if not for the bar, I would definitely have worked out, as there were good exercise equipment there. The pool and jacuzzi overlooking the tower were great. And most importantly, I would like to mention the two wonderful girls at the reception, Cisa and Cartoon, thanks to whom my stay at The Standard was so wonderful and gave me a lot of emotions. They told me everything, showed me everything, surrounded me with care, it’s very nice. I really hope that the girls will receive encouragement from management. Thank you for the warm welcome, I will definitely return to your hotel.

My wife and I stayed in The Standard for a quick 2 nights to start off our honeymoon in Thailand.
We didn’t really know what to expect but afterwards we both agreed it was the best city hotel we’ve stayed in.
Welcoming and helpful staff, the sky bar, a convenient location and lovely (Deluxe King) room really got the honeymoon off to a good start!
If you’re looking to splash out a bit more for something nice in Bangkok, this is totally worth it.

Years ago, we stayed at the New York branch, and today, we find ourselves at the Bangkok location. This hotel undoubtedly ranks among the top ten we have ever stayed in. Its vibrant colours and stylish design immediately exude a modern and energetic atmosphere. One of the most impressive aspects is the room’s air conditioning, which is as quiet and comfortable as that of the Mandarin Oriental in Bangkok, ensuring a peaceful and restful environment. The room itself has been thoughtfully designed, with wheelchair accessibility in mind, featuring spacious doorways and well-placed handrails, showcasing the hotel’s attention to detail and inclusivity.
The swimming pool and gym facilities are equally outstanding. The gym’s scale and equipment are world-class, and our family had a wonderful time here, creating lasting memories.
However, there were a few drawbacks. Firstly, the restaurant’s food was fairly average, and the Thai noodle soup I had for breakfast was, unfortunately, the worst I’ve ever tasted. Secondly, despite the hotel being located in one of Bangkok’s tallest buildings, our room was on a lower floor, which meant the view was less impressive than anticipated. Lastly, there was a management issue when another guest’s pool expenses were mistakenly added to our room bill, highlighting some flaws in their billing system.
Here are my personal ratings, with a maximum score of 5 points:
- Room space design: 5/5
- Room functionality planning: 3/5
- Room view: 3/5
- Room soundproofing: 5/5
- Air conditioning noise level: 5/5
- Comfort of mattress, pillows, and duvet: 5/5
- Door closing noise: 5/5

One of my favourite hotels (anywhere, not just in BKK).
Incredibly stylish, quirky decor throughout the property. Seems like a lot of thought went into the standout design.
Attracts both families and the young, glitzy crowd. Boring businessmen in their 50s were limited, phew. Had a refreshingly casual atmosphere despite the 5*.
We had many odd requests - housekeeping at 4pm; GRAB deliveries at 2am - which staff complied with with enthusiasm.
We upgraded to the Superior King Room which was more than worth it. Not exactly a suite, but definitely felt like one. Ask for a high floor with city views.
In-room dining was amazing (and beats some of the meals we had outside in the city).
Can’t recommend enough.
