Breakfast is good and you must use the complimentary access to the stunning 78th-floor sky bar with breathtaking views. The hotel also has a state-of-the-art gym, open 24/7 and equipped with the latest Techno-Gym machines, making workouts a true pleasure for fitness enthusiasts. (One small suggestion: adding a jump rope would be a great addition to the equipment.)

The hotel as well as the service didn’t meet our expectations, but Tina, Assistant Director of Rooms, kindly reached out to us and managed to turn the dissatisfaction we felt with the hotel into a very positive service-experience. The level of hospitality we received from her was exemplary.

Very spacious rooms with awesome views. Many picture worthy spots in the hotel including in the rooms. The breakfast is delicious and the waitstaff pays full attention. The hotel staff is the BEST! Tina, your hospitality is outstanding and much appreciated. Standard has found an excellent leader! The next time I am Bangkok, I will look forward to staying again at the Standard and finding time to checkout the rooftop bar. Something I missed during this trip.

Nice, stylish and clean hotel! The pool area and 24/7 gym were the highlights, apart from the room. We also got two tickets to the rooftop bar upon check-in, which was a little bit too touristy, but a cool view to see! The wait staff at the pool & breakfast was not very attentive and a little slow, but the receptionists were amazing! Would recommend but probably not stay again (just because there are so many other nice hotels in Bangkok).

We stayed at The Standard for three nights. The hotel is quite new and, above all, very modern. I was initially concerned that it might be an Instagram hotspot where you'd constantly have a camera in your face, but thankfully, that wasn't the case. From the moment we arrived, we fell in love with the hotel and our room. The design and interior are truly stunning, with a stylish and inviting atmosphere. The fitness room is by far the best I've ever seen in a hotel, offering top-notch equipment. Positives ✅ Exceptional location ✅ High-quality and beautiful design ✅ Great outdoor spaces, especially SkyBeach and Ojo but also the breakfast and restaurant areas are beautiful ✅ Friendly and welcoming staff (stuff on reception speaks very good english) ✅ Fantastic fitness studio with amazing equipment ✅ DJs and events create a great atmosphere Areas for Improvement 🔹 English skills of the staff could be better 🔹 À la carte breakfast is quite limited in variety and options, especially for vegetarians 🔹 In general, breakfast lacks variety for a 5-star hotel 🔹 Massages at the pool feel a bit "cheap"—a dedicated spa area would be much more appropriate Negatives ❌ Pool and pool area need some renovation and better cleanliness ❌ In-room amenities feel a bit low-quality and are simply packaged ❌ People smoking weed on the terraces and unfortunately not being asked by the staff to refrain from doing so or to go around the corner (not disturb other guests) All in all, we had a wonderful stay and would likely return to "TheStandard". However, at the moment, we would classify it more as a solid 4-star hotel rather than a true 5-star experience. We hope the team continues to improve to reach its full potential!
