I can start by talking about the good things about this place. First of all, the service is EXCELLENT, the staff are very helpful and do everything they can to make you feel comfortable. The food is very good. It is a quiet and pleasant place too. However, it did not meet my expectations regarding the beach, what you have here is a small area of an artificial beach, you would have to leave the resort to go to a real one. For a resort classified as luxury, it is actually quite basic. The TVs in the room are not even smart and everything is very simple. I would classify it as a GOOD resort.

Elias and Charlie with the activities crew, our servers in the restaurants, and our butler, Ignacio delivered superlative service.
Lunch and dinners were excellent, but the breakfast bar was uninspiring with its leftovers.
Our first room with swim up pool was very close to smoking, rowdy neighbours. We found it impossible to enjoy with additional noise from the hallway where staff were banging carts into the service doors and talking loudly.
The hotel was very responsive and moved us to a quieter room in building 4. This room featured an outdoor jacuzzi tub, but based in the algae green jets, we weren’t willing to risk its use. Our bathroom had a major water leak behind the wall, which we reported after having water leak from overhead pot lights.
The location is safe and somewhat secluded. After a few days we were a bit bored and rented a golf cart. Highly recommend! We explored on our own and found an amazing Italian restaurant a few kilometers away.
Overall, we would rate our stay 4 stars, primarily because of the excellent staff. Resort facilities and our room experience would only merit 3 stars.

Let me start by saying if you’re looking for a big party resort this is not that. This is a very relaxing and quaint resort that still offers a lot of fun activities.
Drinks and food are all included as they state and they know how to pour a drink down here. Food has been okay but I think where it lacks is more us being naive Americans to certain food cultures.
The rooms are absolutely gorgeous with a beautiful view over the marina. Your room comes with a personal butler who takes care of booking all your reservations and will get you anything you may need to stay comfortable. Our butler Leo has been absolutely fantastic
They have activities every day that are optional but they’re fun to participate in. The winner always leaves with a bottle of rum
Charley the activity guy is so much fun and really gets to know you over the course of your stay.
The bartenders are super friendly and know how to have a good time. No one is tip begging down here but they do appreciate it.
Overall I would say this trip has been 5 stars all around.

Overall, I would rate this resort a 3.5, but there are no half star ratings available. So, I don't mind rounding up.
It was a solo vacation. I wanted to relax, eat good, and lay at the beach.
The resort bragged of luxury but I did not experience that. It was a nice resort with a relaxing and quiet atmosphere. However, you had to take a shuttle to the beach area for this resort. Also, there could have been better bedding, the app needs updating with more interactive features, and more frequent access to the city. The mall they take you to is small and there's not much variety there. The chocolate station in there is nice, though.
The food is OK, overall. The buffets are simple and unappealing. The Italian restaurant was not that good. Helios and Gaucho restaurants have some good dishes. I was expecting more from a luxury resort in the DR.
The staff at the resort, though, is AMAZING! All are helpful, courteous, and welcoming. My butler, Pedro, is great. He checked in on me everyday. There were times where the staff would be sitting on the steps in the hallway. While I feel they should be allowed to rest and not be busy, there should be a place for them to do that.
I wanted to rave over this place so bad. Nevertheless, this is not a resort I would return to, nor recommend.

This hotel has a lot of activities and nightly entertainment, run by Charlie. Very fun and inviting atmosphere. Recommended. We saw fire show and circus last night. Also 80s show with a lot of music and dance. Excellent resort and setting.
